That usually happen when both Visual composer and the tagDiv composer are active. I see you are using Visual composer on posts as well. The solution would be to deactivate the tagDiv composer in the plugins section, if you have decided to use Visual composer as the page builder.

I suppose that your problem comes becasue your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

Today I decided to update Newspaper from version 6.5 to 8.5 and I started replacing the pages created with Visual Composer with new pages created with Tagdiv Composer.
In the beginning the Tagdiv Composer was working fine, but after a few hours it stopped working. When I click on “Edit with TD Composer” then a blank page opens and there is a spinning icon showing that something is loading. Unfortunately it keeps loading for ever and I can’t use your composer anymore.
Please let me know what to do.

The plugin should work as before without any issues. The plugin works fine on our end. There are no problems in using visual composer.

Sorry I meant backend editor and I have been using visual composer for the past two years with your theme and it was working as of two days ago. I am aware of the tagdiv composer and have been familiarizing myself with it however we have some visual composer elements on our site that we would like to continue to use. Is there anyway to re-enable visual composer (Wpbakery page builder)?

Upon attempting to edit the homepage for Sevlievo.com, I see the Visual and Textual editors load side-by-side (as tabs), BUT, when the loading is complete, the Textual Editor tab disappears and I cannot edit in text. The View Settings on top right even have the Visial Editor un-checked….
This is not the case for another site of mine, Pavlikeni.com.
Both sites are running latest version 4.2.
Please advise.

Tha was just a half-solution, cos now some of the authors links jump on their on profile page but still some of them to the homepage.
And -as I wrote all plugins disabled, database leftovers cleaned so dunno what could cause the issue.
The authors list page ;

Overall 35 authors the links for 18 not works or jumps to the home page. With all plugins dissabled.

tagdiv’s mobile theme why not and when will give support to the tagdiv composer ( or at least the visual composer / wp backery / ) in the mobile view?
I open other topics/tickets ‘cos there more things not works properly…

That will most likely not work properly, best you try and use widgets that are meant to be used in sidebars, instead of this solution. It would be hard and probably require a lot of
styling to make those broken elements display like in the page.
As it seems that you are using Visual composer, you could enable it for posts and build your posts with Visual composer

However using Visual composer on posts is not recommended, but if you require this functionality give it a try.

I’ve created a page for authors.
Listed there about 35. When click on the author for see their profile, and his/her articles — it will go to the homepage instead on them public profilepage.
It is started on mobile version ( tagdiv-mobile-them ) But now the desktop verzion as well.
I switch off all plugins, cleared all caches, even restarted server.
I made authors page with tagdivs composer, another try I made with visual composer ( wp backery), and on mobile page a bi bunch of html code ( DIV+TABLE, TDS.. )
But non of them works… the profile links shows on my monitor bottom-left corner to the correct profile URL – but it will jump to homepage… WHY?

I was even look throughout database with phpmyadmin, if there is any user profile links missmatches.. but nothing wrong there..
And as I wrote above , if I switch off all the plugins – it is the same –

This should not happen if the page was built and edited using a single composer. Either Visual composer or tagDiv composer, not both. From what I see Visual composer was used to create the page.
Deactivating the tagDiv composer plugin should not have any negative effect in this case. It is recommended to deactivate it if Visual composer is used. Single images will not work properly if both are active, these work differently on each composer.

Unfortunately, none of these two-page builders does not support to be used for post pages, sorry! We have some post templates which can be used for theme panel. So, if you want, you can try using the Visual Composer for post pages but please notice that we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry!

The new elements can only be used with the tagDiv composer, not Visual composer. The theme can still be used with Visual composer the same as before, just that these elements will not be available.

In my previous theme, I was using a plugin called Fast Gallery for Visual Composer, which had a lightbox effect of “Photoswipe”.
When I have swapped over to the Newspaper theme, the Photoswip lightbox no longer works.

You can see when you click an image, just the black screen is displayed.
This worked previously, it is only now that I have swapped themes.

Yes. I’ve used the Search Replace DB (https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/) and other steps to migrate. All images and links works fine. I noticed problems only in these three functionalities: 1) Visual Composer WPBakery Slide; 2) Ajax pagination; and 3) Search Link.
So far I have figured out you can’t just copy the patch files because that causes errors. If you copy the whole Newspaper theme it seems to work. Still have trouble with visual composer columns all defaulting to 100% after upgrade.
I really appreciated your team once for the great template.
But you people totally screwed it up by bringing tagdiv composer which supports only pages. My blog consists of only posts which is getting conflicted with td composer.
Whats is the use when your plugin wont support posts, I have only 2-3 pages for those why I will then go for your plugin rather I will use only visual composer.
I have to download the full template every time the version gets updated and update my visual composer thats again a manual update I have to do.

Sorry but the tagdiv composer does not feature a ‘tabs’ element. If tabs are a must have on your site, then you will have to either use visual composer instead of tdc or find a plugin that can provide a tabs shortcode.

If you use Visual composer for pages, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin, from the plugins section. The single images are affected by this composer, it has a different functionality for the single image elements.

I’m sorry but please notice that the theme has not been designed to used this plugin as page builder, sorry! Please keep in mind that our theme has own page builder which is TD Composer. This effect is probably related to the Visual composer elements used on the homepage, since post pages load properly

There is a delay before the homepage content is displayed from what I can see, but I believe that is how Visual composer does for some of it’s elements.
