I’m finally finding time to attempt to switch our customized page layouts from using Visual Composer to using Tagdiv Composer. I am having trouble with two components as I try to use Tagdiv Composer: Single Images and Message Boxes. I can’t understand how to replace these items using Tagdiv composer and achieve a similar layout. The images don’t seem to work at all, the settings don’t display any image at all. Can you point me in the right direction on how to replace Single Image and Message Box items using TagDiv Composer?
This page is a good example that gets horribly broken when I switch to TagDiv Composer: https://mauimagazine.net/archive-index/
Thank you for your guidance.
Hi there!
Is it possible to use only the Visual Composer to build pages and posts? If so, do I need to deactivate your page builder?
I’m very familiar with Visual Composer and there are a ton of add-ons and extensions that will add more functionality that we need.
I also need to know if we don’t use your page builder what challenges will we face or what features will we lose?
Can I still use your post templates if I use VC?
Hello Anshuminesh19,
First of all, I will thank you for your interest in our theme! Please check the full bundled packet because there you will find all of the required plugins -> TD Composer, Social COunter, Revolution SLider and Visual Composer.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello fgmotta,
The layout can be changed from the row in Visual Composer or
Tag Div Composer, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/y6ngNHyUyf but please notice that our theme has not been designed to be used in 1/2 layout, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, I have this problem on my web site from this morning: “Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!”
Al the next passage are correctly configurated:
“1)Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Do not use this setting in Seo by Yoast:
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
2)Also, the third important rule is to do not edit a page which was created with Visual Composer with TD Composer.
Also, I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues like this.
For more information about how you should use our page builder in correct way on our theme, please check the following useful tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
Clear all the caches and check the results.”
Thanks for your different answer.
Hi Catalin,
Thats what this site is, it is a brand new site clean install. Its the same problem as the other site I tried to use the theme. Other the WPML and woocommerce I have no other plugins. Please help as the issue is consistent.
Here you can see the content under the side bar
http://prntscr.com/gnx9ca
Again if I disable Visual Composer its ok, it goes away.
I have read this same boilerplate response on every other reply. It does not apply to my situation.
I do not have SEO by Yoast or Super Cache installed. I only have your two plugins activated on the test site that is causing me problems.
You say you have inspected my site, but I did not give you the URLs.
I started with a blank page and only used TagDiv Composer.
There is an issue when you add custom HTML in the Composer. And even without the HTML in the layout it is extremely slow to save and most often does not save the changes.
I will go back to Visual Composer and wait for you to get your composer ready for live websites.
Rick

Like a lot of people, I am having this error when trying to edit a page with TagDiv Composer.
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
I only have TagDiv Composer and TagDiv Social Counter plugins enabled on a test site.
I am also getting the same error on a site that I tried to go live.
Both are running 4.8.2
I have used Visual Composer on other sites but don’t even have it installed on these two sites.
It appears that the issue is with raw HTML inserted in the page. If I delete the code for the raw HTML in the page edit of WordPress, the page will load in composer. But it says that it was not created in composer and it will not save any changes.
Thanks,
Rick

Hello,
Please make sure that your theme has been right installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Also, notice that is not recommended to use the both page builder simultaneously (Td Composer with Visual Composer). Please check the following documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
If the problem is still there after this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The tagDiv composer does not yet have such an element, but Visual composer has these masonry grids
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0vPSuXqD
One is for displaying posts and the other for images. There are also multiple styles that can be used for these grids
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hM8wLOZVpm5
Thanks
Hi,
Please update the theme using this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is the most recommended way of updating. Note that custom code you might have used in the previous version, might not work properly in this one. Some elements have been subject to change. Update the theme and remove any custom code from theme panel temporarily, do not modify the theme files after the update.
If you use a child theme, switch to the main theme. Code in this might need adjustments for the new version. Use the child theme provided in the new theme package.
Also in version 8 the tagDiv composer was introduced, this plugin is activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin as this might affect some Visual composer elements on pages.
Thanks
WP UPDATE 9.19.17
Summary
From the WordPress 4.8.2 release post: WordPress versions 4.8.1 and earlier are affected by nine security issues:
$wpdb->prepare() can create unexpected and unsafe queries leading to potential SQL injection (SQLi). WordPress core is not directly vulnerable to this issue, but we’ve added hardening to prevent plugins and themes from accidentally causing a vulnerability. Reported by Slavco.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the oEmbed discovery. Reported by xknown of the WordPress Security Team.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the visual editor. Reported by Rodolfo Assis (@brutelogic) of Sucuri Security.
A path traversal vulnerability was discovered in the file unzipping code. Reported by Alex Chapman (noxrnet).
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the plugin editor. Reported by 陈瑞琦 (Chen Ruiqi).
An open redirect was discovered on the user and term edit screens. Reported by Yasin Soliman (ysx).
A path traversal vulnerability was discovered in the customizer. Reported by Weston Ruter of the WordPress Security Team.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in template names. Reported by Luka (sikic).
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the link modal. Reported by Anas Roubi (qasuar).
In addition to the security issues above, WordPress 4.8.2 contains six maintenance fixes to the 4.8 release series.
Just using Visual Composer did not work, however if I just use Tagdiv it works. It would be obviously ideal to be able to use both.
This is what I received from support, that is why I disabled VC.
The only think I could think of it the child theme caused the problem? I’ll try to move back to the main theme instead of using a child? or do you have a child theme I can download?
Hi,
You used Visual Composer to create also your posts – https://www.screencast.com/t/s77PNwJBHwxz so in this case you will have to use V.C. and deactivate tagdiv composer.
Tagdiv composer doesn’t work on post pages.
I have disabled tagdiv composer and activated V.C. on your site.
Unfortunately in this case you will not be able to use tagdiv composer on your site.
Thanks!
Alin V.
This is the email I received when I emailed contact@tagdiv.com last time:

Hi,
If the tagDiv composer is interfering with other Visual composer elements, deactivate this editor from the plugins section. Then everything will have to display like before.
Deactivate the tagDiv composer, then simply create pages with Visual composer.
There should be no issues like grids displaying like you mention, even if both editors are active
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wCIbRfhAop3Q
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VuR7LEHQ
This could be caused by other things, like custom code, plugins or maybe a child theme. Please try as a test to deactivate all other plugins except theme plugins, and check if this has any effect. The page template you are referring to has to display properly with both composers active, or just with Visual composer.
Thanks
Hi there,
I would love to create an image across my page. I had this done before with Revolution Slider. But as you can see ( http://www.serinawilliam.nl ) there is now a blank space. And when it pops up, it takes a lot of time to load. It is not attracting my clients when my page isn’t working correctly.
I want to fix it with just using the picture and not have Revolution Slider doing the presentation. But how can I do this? When i use ” Image” element in visual composer it show up too small and not the way i want it
edit; I don’t know what happened but the image appeared again. But it still takes a lot of time to load. I think my page will have more benefit with using the simple image code/element in visual composer instead of using Revolution Slider.
Hi,
Unfortunately such row layout options are not available in the tagDiv composer editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The blocks and other theme elements are designed to be used and display properly only with the current row and columns options. That is the case for the Visual composer editor as well. You should try and use the available row settings, to create the website.
Thanks
Hi, so because of the issues with visual composer and tagdiv, I’ve had to move the newspaper theme onto a different site. I’ve installed the theme however when I try to install the demo content, it says installed but none of the prebuilt pages are there or none of the settings came in.
Hi,
Something is not functioning properly on the page. The tagDiv compose works fully, there should be no problem using any of it’s options and features, without any custom code.
In this case the width of the column is not applying as it should
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qH3LVvr4
This can be caused by plugin conflicts, or maybe custom code. It is not happening in my tests while having only Visual composer and tagDiv composer active (and theme plugins).
The page layout is displayed as intended
– https://www.screencast.com/t/K7uybGqMOf5O
Thanks
Hi,
That should not happen. There was a similar issue before regarding this matter. It happened when users updated the Visual composer plugin to the latest version before it has been officially supported by the theme and included in the theme package. That is not recommended.
The version currently supported and included in the bundle is Visual composer 5.2.1. This version works properly with the theme. Please check if you have this plugin version installed at the moment. If it is not, deactivate and delete it and use the one provided in the theme package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
So I figured out if I turn off visual composer and only use TagDiv then everything is ok with the layouts. However I was instructed that some of the issues I was having with other articles came using both, and that now I can only use visual composter. So what should I do?
This is what it looks like with visual composer turned on, as you can see it looks like the Big Grid doesn’t fit.
http://prntscr.com/gm4o92
Now after I turn off visual composter everything seems to fit ok.
http://streamtheplanet.com/
But then it creates the problem of having content under the sidebar I was having in my other topic I created.
