Hello,
It does not work because that was never the intended way of using visual composer. The intended way was using it like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
https://www.screencast.com/t/Mah9XMqJj
The new composer does not add any extra columns as they are not fully compatible with our grid system. They ‘worked’ in visual composer but were never fully compatible. The layout was always broken on other columns than the ones mentioned above.
Thank you!
Hey guys, nice theme so far. As a SEO I want to write and style my contents even on category pages (for Google and other search engines). There is a plugin that I used to utilize to get the content with VC on the category page: https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-category-pages/ (it is compatible with VC and works fine on other projects).
I tried it for the first time on your theme but with no success.
It would be a HUGE advantage if the archive pages could be styled with this type of extension/plugin. Maybe you see a workarround or you can implement it in your theme.
Thank you for your support!
Sebastian from Germany.
PS: Please no answer like: “this is a 3rd party plugin – sorry :)” I need a solution for this even with or without this specific plugin 😉 Thank you!
Hey Chris!
Honestly I never tried TD Composer. I use only Visual Composer and it works perfectly for me.
Thanks!
Hello Bogdan,
I don’t use tagDiv composer, I work only with Visual Composer.
I found myself with tagDiv composer activated, after the last update.
The automatic activation of the tagDiv composer led to the cropping of all the images on the website.
I appreciate all your support and the hard work you are doing to give us an awesome theme, but please prevent that theme updates create malfunctions and issues to the websites already created.
Thank you!
I’ve never used the TagDiv Composer. I just thought I should provide the error message for when I tried it.
But thank you, because I no longer get the error message from the TagDiv Composer when Visual Composer is deactivated.
Also, I’m new to this technical stuff… Is there somebody from the Newspaper 7 Theme creators that gets assigned to assist me?
Make sure not to use TagDiv Composer and VisualComposer at same time — won’t work!
Hello freshmademedia,
Please keep in mind that our TD Composer does not destroy your homepage layout if in the past you have used the Visual Composer. First of all, please keep in mind that it is not recommended to be used both page builders simultaneously because might appear some conflicts, sorry! Notice that the TD Composer will recognize the Visual Composer shortcodes and the page which was created with VC should be right displayed on the front page if you will enable the TD Composer. Also, we do not recommend to edit this page with TD Composer if it was made with Visual Composer. You should make a similar page (recreate it by TD Composer from scratch) if you want to achieve best theme results. Also, for more information about the transition between two-page builders, please check the useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Also, if you do not like to use TD Composer, you can disable it and continue to use only the Visual Composer but please notice that in the future, we will release new features exclusively on our page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
You do not have to move over to the new builder right away. you can take it slow and have both active at the same time. Simply do not use one builder to edit a page created with the other. If you want to edit your old pages, do it with visual composer. For new pages, use the tagdiv composer and create new ones in time. You can still use visual composer. We did not remove it from our theme. We will however in the future put more emphasis on our own page builder rather than visual composer so we suggest moving over to the new builder.
You can place text in pages using the builder: https://www.screencast.com/t/ThV3YGomW9U or simply in the back-end using the tiny mce editor of wp.
This guide should help with the transition: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Spending months on a single page seems overkill though. As you can see from our video, you actually CAN do it in 3 minutes.
Thank you!
Hello,
1. That seems to be a cached image. Please clear all caching from the cache plugin, browser cache, cdn server or hosting side cache.
2. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Please also check your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
The new tagdiv composer is not a copy of visual composer. Not all of the options available in visual composer will be available in our own page builder for the moment. We will add new features to the composer for future updates though. If you still want to use visual composer you can and disable the new builder but you will have to be advised as all the new theme features coming out in future updates will not work in visual composer anymore. We will develop new features and blocks exclusively for our own page builder. Visual composer will remain an optional plugin.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you created a page with Visual composer and used a single image element (which is a visual composer specific element), trying to insert it into the tagdiv composer will not work properly. Please do not try to edit a page created with visual composer using the new page builder. If you want to move over to the tagdiuv composer, you will have to re-create the pages using the new builder like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thank you!
Hello svharishtech,
If you encounter some problem with your transition from VC to our page builder, please check the following useful tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The featured image does not seem to be available on your post.
Pleas make sure you uploaded a featured image in the post back-end. IF the image is present, then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi Catalin,
soory, this answer is not satisfying – maybe there was a misunderstanding: I built up the website with the Visual Composer which was added/included in your Newspaper theme. All the rows and columns are correct defined by using the Visual Composer, single images were presented in columns with added capture text – I fear that your now launched TagDiv Composer is concurrency with the Visual Composer and destroying the original VC-layout after the update to the present newspaper version. I want to use the Visual Composer further – so please give me a tipp how to manage it…
See here screenshots of the VC-panel…
With best regards…
Michael
Hi,
The tagDiv composer was introduced in the latest theme update, it is our new front-end page editor. More information about this here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
The images should display fine, usually image problems are caused by plugins. That causes in some cases the lazy load feature to produce this kind of issues. Please try it only with the bundles plugins, to see if the result is still the same. Or maybe deactivate the lazy load in the theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/HBjrb3Ln and see if that has any effect.
Thanks
Hello Ankush Das,
Please keep in mind that TD Composer is our page builder who wants to replace the Visual Composer. Our page builder is too optimized with our theme because this is fully integrated into the theme and work as expected. You can use the Visual Composer but notice that on the future, we will improve our builder and all the features will be made exclusively for this TD Composer and all of these will not work for Visual Composer. Yes, we will provide the updates for Visual Composer but we will not implement new features.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello yachtsailingcharter,
Please keep in mind that composer is our new page builder which replaces the Visual Composer. Notice that you can disable it and continue to use the Visual Composer but we recommend using only our TD Composer because in future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello ncguynet,
You can do it and with Visual Composer but notice that we recommend using our TD Composer because in future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello solidoes,
I guess that you are using the Visual Composer on posts, right? If so, please notice that the VC has not been tested to be used for posts but only for pages and it might appear some issues, sorry! If you want to use the VC for posts, note that we can not provide support for the eventual problems that happens due to this, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
How to unblock the problem I need FRONT editor I want to make a sample for users to post without having access to

i want to know which are the blocks used in newsmag default theme demo, with a visual representation
This is really disappointing. TagDiv composer would work with a lot of requirements? I’m on a business cloud hosting environment at Hostgator and some PHP settings can’t be changed. Almost all of the requirements are met but max_execution_time status – Yellow (it is 30 currently). So, now for me, TagDiv composer is basically USELESS?
How is it better than Visual Composer when it can’t work in an environment where Visual composer works just fine?
I’ll have to keep the Visual Composer installed then? And, I’ll have to keep hanging out with the Visual Composer’s old version or you will still provide updates to Visual composer plugin in the later releases?
I even used Visual Composer to use full-height feature, and it doesn’t work on a lot of pages! Please include this feature for rows!
The new composer, I understand it’s front end, but I think it needs bigger text! Too hard to read!
Hello ihora,
This is your choice but please keep in mind that in the future, we recommend doing this switching between Visual Composer to TD Composer because in the future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder which works only on this our composer. Also, we do not recommend simultaneously used these page builders, either one or the other.
Thanks for your understanding!
