Hello !
Sorry for missunderstangind your issue.
Unfortunately Polylang plugin is untested by our team so we cannot offer support for this issue.
We do reccomend WPML Plugin. Please take a look at this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/multiple-language-newspaper/
Thank you !
Hi,
If I understand correctly you want to have a website with more language ( this will be the region select ), and the content to be translate ( change ), if is so then you can use the theme translations together with WPML -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hello Guys
We created a custom post type by modifying one of the preset templated in the cloud library. Now we want to set this template for all pages so we went to
Theme panel> post settings>Default site post template
There we could see the new template that we created and selected it. This was done for all the languages that we have (We are using WPML)
This works for a while but then when we switch languages then the post template in the theme panel reverts to the default.
WE also tried changing the template in the post options, this works for some time but then the template reverts to the default template.
This has us really stuck as we cannot design anything! The theme panel is the latest. We clear the cache and the system settings are default.
Tried disabling plugins but still this happens. We are anyway using all recommended plugins.
Please let us know what is missing
Regards
Ashutosh

(Update: it is working now)

Hello
I have just updated the theme to latest version. And I had read about the new amp developments.
1- The issue is with WP Bakery
Some functionalities are not working when tag div composer and wp bakery? For example we disabled some rows so that they are not visible on frontend. But they are still visible. Yes, tagdiv is installed and enabled.
2 – The issue with amp.
We are using WPML for multi language website. The view of homepages and posts are different than each other. Please see the screen shots here. Are we missing any steps and modifications?

3 – When we test some posts with google amp tester, first we get non-amp submitted result but with a reference. Seeing the amo version result confirms that it is a valid amp page. Is this normal?

Can you help me?
Hi,
Unfortunately, this such a language is not added in the WordPress list, sorry! If you want to translate it to another language, you need to use a plugin with this functionality, like WPML and check the results.
Thank you!
Hola veo que el theme es compatible con WPML para traducciones a otro idiomas(multi idioma), también es compatible con el módulo Google Language Translator? (https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/google-language-translator/) o tambien con el https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/?

P.S I’m using WPML plugin to translate the articles
And Also I’m having issues when opening the post from facebook,it directs me to the mobile version of the theme.
Hi,
So you want to create a multi-language website? That is possible using translation plugins. This way you can create posts in as many languages as you want, then website visitors can use a language switcher (most translation plugins have this) to change the language to see specific content.
The theme blocks, grids or any element that can display posts, will display the same content for all visitors. You can sort and filter them, but the content will be the same for all.
For example using the WPML plugin you can create pages for each language, with the content you want. When the language is changed the page will change.
Thanks

Hi,
Thank you for your response. It seems like even with the WPML plugin, the theme does not display correctly in the RTL. Hence, I would really appreciate the refund.
Thank you,

Hello,
My website is translated with WPML in two languages, and has two RSS feeds.
In the theme header I add the RSS icon (via Admin panel – Social networks), but there is no option to choose different feeds per language.
Can you please advise?
Thank you!
Hi,
thank you for the wonderful theme, I have been very happy with Newspaper. Now, when I have been translating my posts from Finnish to English I have noticed two issues with your theme and WPML:
1. the tagDiv slider gallery captions are not translated for some reason (they tend to stay in Finnish, even though I have translated the media captions.) I had to get back to the basic WordPress gallery to get the translations working. (this page: https://www.elamystampere.fi/there-and-back-again-a-steamboat-trip-to-st-petersburg-in-2011/?lang=en)
2. The category templates by the tagDiv editor are not translated at all: (e.g. this page: https://www.elamystampere.fi/steamboats/?lang=en) I have not found a way to translate the texts on the category page sidebar.
If you’d have any suggestions, I’d be very happy!
Best,
Mikko
Hi,
Yes our theme is compatible with WPML, please check our documentation for Using the theme translations together with WPML-> https://tagdiv.com/wpml-newspaper-theme-compatibility/
Please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Thank you!
I’m trying to install WPML plugin but all attempts failed. Is this theme compatible with WPML?
Hi,
Seems a more precise code is needed. I believe you want the menu items from the top bar to be displayed, the socials are displayed when the mobile menu is open. Something like this would work – http://prntscr.com/mtf1dj
This is the code for it, I could modify it if needed
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .top-header-menu>li {
display: inline-block;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container {
float: none;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .top-header-menu>li a {
margin-right: 16px;
}}
Hi,
First please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
That website is using the WPML plugin, this will allow the creation of a multi-language website. With it you can translate pages and posts. Some info about it here

Also please check a similar topic ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpml-plugin-with-newspaper-9-theme/
Thank you for your understanding!
Well I’ve fixed the home page issue, but the main issue remains i.e. Tagdiv editor is not workable for translations.
I’ve created a ticket at WPML forum as well, but haven’t received their reply yet.
