Hi Vlad, thanks for your response. I did check with the hoster. The operator updated PHP and the robots.txt file. But from their end, everything looks normal.
One strange thing though: I’m getting a good Pingdom score of 99. But on Google PageSpeed Insights I’m getting the worst possible score.
Any idea why the results are so different?
I ended up using a plug-in now “open graph for FAcebook & Twitter” but I’m still getting the same behavior, double feature image when posting to Facebook.
Could that be a theme issue? Did anybody witness the same behavior with Twitter large image summary card and Facebook posts?
thank you
Ah I see. thanks for the info regarding the fonts, I’ll check that.
I skipped the mobile theme since the desktop theme seemed to be looking good on mobile. I guess I’ll have to install the dedicated mobile theme then.
thank you
oh yes, you are right. It’s there 🙂 ….I’m also in the process of speeding up the site and try moving the according .js files via speed booster. that seems to take forever. Guess I’ll better get that site sped up. thanks for the quick response anyway.
After months of testing and trying to find out what the problem was I found out how to get the composer back to work: I just simply did reset the theme panel!
Thought I’d put that in here if anybody does face the same problem and can’t find a solution. Try reseting the theme panel first 😉

Hey, I stil have the same issue. Saw your comment in my thread.
do you mind telling me how you solved it? Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.
any news on this? …still got the spinning circle. Maybe there is some new evidence regarding this issue?
I went through the whole process of sending the link / infos / checklist etc. back then.
If there is anything new I can do please let me know.
I’m having exactly the same problem. But I’m still on 8.5.1
I did follow all suggested steps (including memory size, .htaccess, php.ini – everything).
got 2 replies from the support which weren’t really helpful (“try a default .htaccess”, “test the theme on a fresh wordpress install”).
I don’t want to spread any bad feelings at all, I just want the theme to work.
In my thread I wrote that I am even willing to pay somebody to get this running again (if a developer reads this).
I just installed the site, literally a hand full of articles so it can’t be any memory size or cluttered / exotic plug-ins & content.
guys, is it possible to hire somebody on your end to take an in depth look at my problem. I’ll pay whatever it costs.
The responses I’m getting via support are a little disturbing…to say the least.
If not, if anybody reads this who is profitient with wordpress development and the newspaper theme please contact me via fotografiemagazin(dot)de
I’ve got a job for you.
thanks
Ok I will. Thanks for getting back.
ok I was able to restore the site through my provider again. I’m not going to touch the wp-config file again (obviously opened it with an editor which saved it in the wrong charset.)
Now we’re back to the infinite loading screen with the td composer. Any help here would be much appreciated.
ok I double checked the wp-config for whitespaces. Still getting an error “cannot modify header information…”
it all started with the TDComposer not loading and me following the instructions to incraese the WP Memory in the wp-config.
Guys, I seriously need some help here. I bought the theme from theme forest with support.
Site still works though when I’m looged in but from the outside I’m getting a bunch of errors.
deactivated wp super cache due to a header warning, now the whole site is broken!! :O
[SOLVED] ok solved, after reading the documentary, that said that the theme will set the site to “blog” by default and I should create a dedicated homepage by hand.
Once getting used to the TD composer it’s pretty easy to click everything together. Great theme.
ok, so here is what I’ve found out so far (I can’t seem to edit previous posts):
The demo looks as intended in any category.
The homepage though, is set to “blog” (the breadcrumb shows home/blog). It’s a fresh inststall so no way this has been set manually.
Plus when I address the homepage manually URL/home the layout is broken.
So bottom line: demo layout (newsmagazine) works on category level.
But not on the homepage.
So after playing around with it, I was able to find out that it works with any category.
However, on the homepage it still shows just a regular blog style list of articles.
The only thing I need to achieve now is that demo look (news magazine) for the home page (all categories).
I’d be thankful for any hints. thank you.
It works on page level though. Do I have to create a dedicated home page? Which is not set just yet.
