I am sending you the credentials to login to the FTP and admin tool. The admin-ajax.php file is read only and GODaddy.com cannot change these permissions for security purposes. The files that can be updated are the .user.ini or wp-config file. I really need to be able to add our google adsense script into the Newspaper theme panel in order to generate revenue and worry that we are losing money every day that this panel does not allow us to save this script on our home page and posts pages. Would you please update me on how this is going? Here are our credentials again:

I checked an there is no php.ini file in my SFTP account.

I did update the default-constants.php page in the wp-includes directory and uploaded this but the wp super cache plugin is not allowed in this server.

Thank you Caitlin for your response. I do know about the Vimeo and Youtube video playlists which is wonderful. On occasion, we do add embed codes to our post pages in the text tab. The link from here: http://www.myfoxboston.com/news/watertown-boy-skips-birthday-gifts-gives-to-sea-turtles/235034748 does offer embed code options and we have had other sites that have been successful in allowing us to embed videos within the content of our post pages, therefore I am curious as to why this does not appear on this page? https://powerofhumans.com/2015/05/kids-care-6-year-old-foregoes-birthday-gifts-instead-helps-sea-turtles/.

Is there a way to hide the author box on specific categories? We have hundreds of posts, however, if we could block the author box within posts in a category such as “Fun” on our blog site, that would be helpful as well: http://powerofhumans.com/category/fun/

Hello,

I did change to the Newspaper Theme a month ago and am also missing many Facebook likes on my posts. I did flush the cache and checked the facebook id etc. Everything should be working properly but am still not seeing the number of Facebook likes that where there originally.

I got the social counter to work now. Thank you. Another question I had was with regards to the # of facebook likes we had for our individual posts through Facebook. For example, this page: http://powerofhumans.com/2015/12/happy-76th-birthday-tina-turner-reminds-us-why-she-is-simply-the-best/, is set to “0” under the post where it has Facebook Likes. We have over dozens of likes from this post. How do I show this on my site?

Thank you for your response with this. I imported these posts from our current live website using a different WordPress theme. The youtube videos on all of these posts work fine. However, when I copy and paste the youtube link into the featured video widget in the admin tool, the videos do not show up. I did try disabling all of the plugins and clearing the cache per your recommendation but with no success.

Part of why I chose this theme was because of the featured video functionality and the ability for it to create automatic thumbnails based on the video link. I really want to keep this theme but in the last theme we had to create screen captures of the video, upload them to media and make them the featured image. These added steps take up way too much time and wish we could get this to work.
