Hi

To achieve that ae required many customizations in block’s layout and even in it’s php structure. First it’s required a new container which will contain the image, then the style must be adapted such that the image an the posts displayed in block to have proper layout. The file which must be edited is td_block_10.php: http://screencast.com/t/LIRFH0qMCOY so you can try if you want on a test site to change it’s layout a bit.

Note that this is a complex task which require many customization and also good php/html/css coding skills. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.

Thanks!

Hi

On page-builder+title post template is no need to detect the page-builder as the page structure is different. The indicated code remained there from previous versions of the theme but no have no usage with the current implementation and can be removed with no problems.

Thanks!

Hi

If you’re using page-builder+title as a page template then you can use this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to hide the page tile:

.td-page-title{
display: none;
}

Regarding the error make sure you made the changes exactly as I indicated in previous screens as the indicated error appear when the php code returns an invalid html structure. The php code have a syntax which must be respected otherwise will return errors.
If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.

Thanks!

Hi

You can use each theme license just on one product (website/domain) these terms are set by Envato here – http://themeforest.net/licenses/standardhttp://themeforest.net/licenses/faq They specify that you can use one license for one product (website/domain). You can use it on multiple test sites and on multiple subdomains as a part of the same site-product, for ex. if you use it to create different category styles or different languages with the same content the same environment we have set for our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/

To achieve that you need to edit the td_block_social_counter.php file and add the target="_blank" atribute like here: http://screencast.com/t/yLgJLuUo2uT2 Like this any link from the plugin should open in a new tab: http://screencast.com/t/bYzlRBeI0qJL

Hi,

We have fixed this fb social counter issue in latest theme version, V 2.3.5 and latest version of the social counter plugin, so please make sure you use the latest version of the plugin, V 3.1 and that you configure the fb counter like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ Also you have to use the lates version of Visual Composer included in theme path, V 4.9.2: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You can make sure you use the latest version of the plugin by removing it then install it form theme’s > plugins section: http://screencast.com/t/W0nHgyA1US and for the theme log into your themeforest account then go the downloads section, you find the latest theme version there, download it and update it using the update guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thanks!

Hi

Theme’s developers works on the new update but I can’t say for sure how much will take until will be finished. We do our best to improve theme’s performances and the required customization take some time to be implemented. Also we must do lots of tests on different browsers and also different.
All these take a bit of time and will take a while until the next update will be released.

Thanks

Hi

Please make sure you added the url like here: http://screencast.com/t/MdHianZ0 but note that the smart-lists wren’t designed to open images in new tabs, only in modal image. Using custom links on images from smart-lists it’s possible to appear some issues, for example in smart list 1 images with custom links are doubled: http://screencast.com/t/SetM6vbpZW
Changing this requires many customization in theme’s files and unfortunately we cannot offer any custom servcices at the moment. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

Thanks!

Hi

We’re sorry for for all this inconveniences.
There are many alternatives to control the video’s layout according with it’s aspect ratio but all this involve custom code.
The videos layout it’s entirely controlled by javascript and works like this:
– first read the width of the container where video it’s displayed then set apply a 100% width to the video. For example if the container have 980px width the video will also have the same width.
– second step it’s setting up the height. This value It is obtained by multiplying the width’s value with 0.5625 for videos from vimeo.
This value can be changed anytime but this will affect all videos, no matter what aspect ratio they have. For example by changing the value like this: http://screencast.com/t/eesYaBhn9d I get this results:
– for a video with aspect ratio 4:3: http://screencast.com/t/uq7e9Nu9G
– for a video with aspect ration 16:9: http://screencast.com/t/CiuMxuf8fD You can notice in this screen that by changing the value these black bars will appear on videos with 16:9 aspect ratio. The default value, 0.5628, display correct 16:9 videos: http://screencast.com/t/OzkY7zgx but affect others.

With this informations I intended to point out that by changing the current implementation such that to display the correct videos with 4:3 aspect ratio, will be affected other videos layout, respectively the ones with 16:9 aspect ratio.

A possible solution would be to use only videos with 4:3 aspect ratio and modify the indicated value to 0.7625: http://screencast.com/t/eesYaBhn9d Other solution would be a custom code which calculate the rapport between width and height, and depending by that result apply a specific style such that the black bars to not appear on videos.
This is the complex task which I refereed as are required many investigations and tests in order to obtain best results for videos.

We certainly plan to improve this system in the future updates. I’ve added this on our todo list and when the time comes our developers will consider it. This may take some time because we have a long implementation list and we take them one by one.

I hope you will find this information useful and I apologize again if I didn’t make myself quite clear from the beginning.

Thanks!

Hi

I am not sure how do you want to change the authors display on post/pages so please provide more specific deteils about what you’re trying to do and maybe I can help.
Meanwhile you can try to edit the functions which generate the authors here:
– for post the function is located in td_module_single_base.php here: http://screencast.com/t/ZGfzKtyN5I This function is called in each file corresponding for each post template: http://screencast.com/t/M5h69wJ5
– for pages the function is located in td_module.php here: http://screencast.com/t/2CxKOXLhI The function is called in each file which generate a module’s layout: http://screencast.com/t/cqLTdKZJa
– for authors box the code is located in td_block_authors.php here: http://screencast.com/t/BPVFo5Xf

Hi

The theme automatically add the modal window on images from smart-list. To avoid that comment this code from tagdiv_theme.js: http://screencast.com/t/VJLsxfFD Like this when you click on the image will link either on the attachment page or on a custom link if you have one set.
Note that this modification will affect all images displayed in smart-list.

Thanks!

Hi

I’ve checked your site again and noticed that you made some changes over a row from Visual Composer. By changing row’s width all layout will be affected: http://screencast.com/t/f5regdI2Oz8Z as it was initially designed with a fixed value by 680px. Try revert all changes made in theme’s files, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.

Thanks!

Hi

The ad system it’s tested and works fine. For more details about banner ads usage with our theme please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-using-other-ads/ To load different banner ads you can use this code:

<div class="td-visible-desktop">
<a href="#"><img src="image-for-desktop"/></a>
</div>
<div class="td-visible-phone">
<a href="#"><img src="image-for-mobile"/></a>
</div>

This css will display a image for desktop and a different image for mobile, including iPhone.

Thanks!

Hi

To apply a different style on mobile devices you can use media queries like this:

@media (max-width: 768px){
.css-class-of-the-element{
color:red
}
}

This is just a basic example but works like this: for screens smaller then 768px apply a red color for the element with this css class: .css-class-of-the-element. You have to replace this expression with the real selector of the element of which’s style you want to change.
Note that this is a complex task which require good css coding skills and many tests in order to be accomplished. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.

Thanks!

Hi

All videos embed in the theme or uploaded via WordPress are controlled by theme’s javascript: http://screencast.com/t/iyFKcGh7b For a different aspect ratio you will need to modify the indicated function such that the style applied to be different.
This is a very complex task which involve many customizations in theme files and I can’t provide a solution now. If you can’t do it yourself my advice is to find someone to help you or hire a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to do this for you.

Thanks!
