Now I’m confused. What are you really trying to achieve. You mention above you want to disable the images because of he cropping. You simply need to add the code in the mobile theme section under custom css and the images will no longer show up. The mobile theme is tied to the main theme in many ways, yes.

Unfortunately you cannot make it always appear at the bottom no matter the content length. You will have to either leave it on default or specify a number of pixels after which the box will show up. There is no setting to for the option to be at the bottom always no matter the post content.

But the title are the ones that turn white on your site. Not the excerpt. This however seems to be a global setting. Please check the colors section of the theme panel. The general hover colors come from the theme accent color. If this is set to white then the posts will have a white hover color.
