Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check again. If it’s not a conflicting plugin, you can try to regenerate your thumbs by using force regenerate plugin.
Let us know if the problem is still there after you try these solutions.
Thank you!
Hello Claudiu,
I have tried this code with an external image on posts/pages/category pages and it works on all versions:
.td-logo-wrap-full {
background-image: url("https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/56/Canons_Ashby_House_and_Mulberry_Tree_-_geograph.org.uk_-_22987.jpg");
background-repeat: repeat-x;
}
post: http://screencast.com/t/PPMku2tE
page: http://screencast.com/t/vblQ7qHE
category: http://screencast.com/t/ygmjueUeba9
Thank you!
Hi,
It works on the default template too, you just need to place the code in the case used. There are 2 cases: ‘// the page is rendered using the page builder template (no sidebars)’ and ‘//no page builder detected, we load a default page template with sidebar / no sidebar’ : http://screencast.com/t/BxIdewOs
You can place the code in both cases if you want because it will only display the one detected.
This is how it looks like on my end. This is on the default template : http://screencast.com/t/i6BtIxN7t2
Thank you!
Hello,
I have checked your website and it seems fine now. The load speed is OK and the footer image is present.
The error is referring to the footer background image: http://screencast.com/t/DveP4pT5xdPm . For some reason it could not be found. This image can be changed from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/mXuv8ydaZsf
Let us know if the problem reappears.
Thank you!
Hello,
The documentation you read is about how to implement a custom post type. If you are looking to find how to create one, you can read this topic: https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types
Our documentation basically describes how you can use CPT with our theme and provides a demo custom post type called Books. The theme automatically detect custom post types and provides a few settings in the theme panel for them.
Please note that implementation of custom post types is still limited and it requires customization to make it work with our theme modules and blocks.
In future updates we will implement better CPT support and a more detailed explanation in our documentation.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try it without any plugins. Remove all plugins except visual composer and the social icons. It could be a conflicting plugin. I also found some errors in your console: http://screencast.com/t/9EYAZNjIMo.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello,
Nothing happens for no reason at all, our theme does not delete images from your website. Please try to provide more details to your problem. Maybe you installed a plugin or made some customizations. If the problem reappears you can try to disable your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it.
Based on what you wrote, we cannot know what caused the problem.
@Schuchi
I have checked your website and images seem to display fine: http://screencast.com/t/MIKlEtXdmrF – http://screencast.com/t/jcDV79FNFpTN
Let us know if the problem reappears.
Thank you!
Hello,
The formatting option is there in the editor. You maybe have it hidden: http://screencast.com/t/UVj2ymJyp38
The little toolbar toggle is a big nuisance.
Thank you!
Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
I have checked your request. In order to lower the whole site you can use a solution i provided here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-a-space-gap-above-the-whole-website/
But you cannot target a specific area to add a background image to.
You will need custom modifications to do it.
Thanks.
Hello,
If you want the modification below the header and above all the content, simply place the code directly above the main content div: http://screencast.com/t/Is6mWYqhd so the content will not be affected by it.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please create a few test posts (about 8) and add featured images to them. You can use the same image if you want.
Then when you add a block element on your page using visual composer, the block settings will appear: http://screencast.com/t/8o9SoWHQ – http://screencast.com/t/RfL2Ew0CcTO. There are a few option like the number of posts. If you only have 4 posts it will not slide because it will have nothing to slide to. You have to change this option to at least 8. Now your slider should appear and slide through your posts.
There are a number of other settings to a block element.
The first thing we recommend when using our theme for the first time is to check the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ You will find very useful information in there.
You can also check our Youtube Chanel for video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
Multi language translations are possible with our theme. You can translate your website to the language you prefer (http://screencast.com/t/mbczfRZ0), but switching the site between languages actively is a whole different matter.
You can use a plugin for this option but we have not tested translation plugins with our theme so we cannot say for sure if it will work 100% or not. Some of our users use the plugin you suggested, other use https://wordpress.org/plugins/qtranslate-x/
You can try out a couple of free plugins and see how they work.
Thank you.
Hello,
I understand the problem now. Speedbooster has no settings. It’s either active or disabled. The plugin works in such a way that it moves the css code to the bottom of the page so the main one will be loaded first and then the modification. When CSS colors are changed, this is a side-effect of this procedure. The easiest way to keep speedbooster active and also have the colors apply instant, you have to apply the color you want to set in the style.css file. That way it will be the first option to load, not the second.

We hope in a future update we will be able to fix this issue.
Thank you!
Hello Ben,
CSS is a very specific code, so this will remove only the padding on this exact page. It is based on the page ID. If you want to apply this code to another page you will have to modify the page id number to match your page’s.
You can see the page id on the body tag with your browser inspector: http://screencast.com/t/Rghq4y8tN2
You have to be this specific otherwise it will apply to all pages of your site and create other problems.
Use this code in the theme panel -> custom CSS box
.page-id-1178 .td-main-page-wrap{
padding-top:0!important;
}
.page-id-1178 .td-main-content-wrap{
padding-bottom:0!important;
}
result: http://screencast.com/t/QCCjP1T4h
Thanks.
Hello,
The theme specifies in the featured video post that you can only use youtube or vimeo videos and the post styles it can be used on. http://screencast.com/t/CUoXmaIS
If your setting does not meet these parameters, then it will not work.
What it does not specify is that the video has to be public so everyone can access it.
In your case, the youtube video is not public: http://screencast.com/t/O0fabXBvPJUv – http://screencast.com/t/zRd9cTlgNDg5 so the theme cannot access it to grab a featured image.
Please try to use public videos in your posts.
Thank you!
Hello Babo,
You could remove the padding from the main container with 4px, but we do not know if it will affect other parts of the website. This modification interferes with the column display and can cause different problems along the way. Every element is in relation to one an other. If you really need this modification you can use this custom css:
.single-post .td-main-content{
padding-left:22px!important;
padding-right:22px!important;
}
But if you want to play it safe and not risk other problems, you can regenerate your thumbs locally (it will take a bit of time) and then upload them to your website. You can use a plugin like force regenerate thumbs.
If you chose the css method, if problems occur in the future because of this, please point out this modification to us.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please paste this custom CSS in the theme panel-Custom CSS box:
.td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>li>a:after {
background-color: transparent;
content: "";
width: 100%;
height: 4px;
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
-webkit-transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
display: block;
}
.td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-menu-item>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-menu-ancestor>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.current-category-ancestor>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>li:hover>a:after, .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu>.sfHover>a:after {
background-color: red !important;
}
.td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-menu-item > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-menu-ancestor > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .current-category-ancestor > a, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > li > a:hover, .td-header-style-5 .black-menu .sf-menu > .sfHover > a {
background-color: transparent !important;
}
I set the border color to red, but you can modify the code to any color you want it to display.
Thanks.
Hello Rudy,
Please make sure your slider has posts to display. If the block settings specify a category or tag that do not contain posts, the element will not appear.
If the block has posts to display but it still doesn’t, please provide a link to your website so we can take a closer look.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer and check your site again. I have checked your site and saw you have quite a number of them installed. Sometimes plugins cause more problems than solutions and incompatibility between them is experienced very often.
Let us know how it goes.
Hello,
You can hide them on specific posts using custom css code or you can also use a plugin like Advanced Custom Fields and use this method to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/function-to-hide-ads-and-function-to-show-author/
Thanks.
Hi,
I understand now. You can target them with CSS: just add this code in the theme panel->Custom CSS
.td-post-category{
background-color:red;
}
You can change the color in the code to your preferred one.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can add an adbox element from visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/pGpcCwybfoXu and select a custom ad spot: http://screencast.com/t/90xyuon1rc1. Make sure you have an ad in the theme panel custom ads section you selected.
result: http://screencast.com/t/TExPtxVAIQ
Our theme was built to work with adsense but you can use custom ads as well
You can read more about ads in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-ad-spots/
Thank you!
Hello Gipo,
You can change this option in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/5vICznWSa0t
You can read more about post settings or other settings in our documentation : https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-settings/
Thank you!
