Very sad to hear. The forum has been an invaluable resource, not only for support, but for tips, tricks, and general problem solving when using the theme.
Will the existing forum threads remain online?
Hi Simion,
Thank you for following up. Out of interest I did try switching to the default Twenty Twenty theme, and visual revisions did then work.
Look forward to seeing the team work their magic.
Can confirm this was fixed in the latest update. Thank you once again.
NEWSPAPER – VERSION: 12.7.5
new: External image support for Image info box;
new: Load more option(ajax) to Categories/tags list shortcode;
new: Custom no post message on all Flex blocks;

new: Category siblings option to hide all the categories when no siblings;
You rock, team. Such a welcome addition, already implemented and working great.
Have a lovely weekend!
Ironic that the next release came out seconds after I posted. Nevertheless, great to see the category siblings fix was rolled in.
Top-notch support from the team as always, thank you all for the great work you do.
Hi Calin,
Thanks for confirming, it’s reassuring to know that I haven’t overlooked something, and that the problem lies elsewhere.
Hopefully this can be fixed in the next release. Thanks for adding it to the list.
Hi Calin,
In the first instance, can you confirm whether the template works for you on a cloud template?
Ideally I’d like to get it working without having to inject additional code. Very strange that it works fine on other cloud templates, just not category cloud templates.
Hi Calin,
Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, the suggested code hasn’t worked; it does turn the gallery into a pop-up modal, but shows the same incorrect image from the media library for each picture.
Do we know what’s causing the issue; why does a cloud category template behave this way even though the modal box is checked?
Hi Calin,
You can now see an example of the gallery not working as expected at this url.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Yeah it’s so strange. The modal option is there, and seems to work everywhere apart from category cloud templates.
My updated work is still in dev but I’ll see if I can push it live sooner for you to take a look at. In the meantime, can you try importing the gallery template (https://cloud.tagdiv.com/photo-gallery-spa-heaven/) into a category cloud template, to see if it works for you?
Hi Calin,
Further to the above, here are some possible alternatives to Umgur that are now blocked in the UK:
https://imgbb.com
https://postimages.org
https://catbox.moe
Hopefully one of these is usable for you.
Hi Calin,
I’ve tried importing the gallery on my local staging site using a blank category template, with all other plugins disabled, but frustratingly still can’t get the images to pop-up.
Update: if I create a new page, or a page cloud template, the gallery does work. However, if I import the gallery to a category cloud template, it doesn’t work.
Any idea why pop-up images wouldn’t work in category templates?
Hi Calin,
Yes, that’s right, it would be nice to have an option to disable the opacity on hover setting. I have an instance where the buttons overhang a background of the same colour. It looks nice until someone hovers over a button.
Also, please note that imgur is now blocked in the UK, making your shared screenshots inaccessible to a wide number of users. Might I suggest another image sharing tool.
You’re a star. Thank you.
Excellent, thank you, Calin!
Hi Calin,
Thank you for the revised code. Can I assume this will be rolled into the next release?
Thanks for the clarification, Calin.
Suggestion still stands, would be great if the developers could add an option to display the message on flex blocks as well as loop blocks.
Apologies for bumping such an old request, but it’s an issue that persists.
A secondary colour would be helpful, but it is also worth noting that be default opacity is reduced on hover. If not a second colour, it would be nice to have an option disable this behaviour.
Hi Calin,
That doesn’t quite fix the underlying problem.
For example, if my category hierarchy were as follows:
Category 1
– sub-category 1
– sub-category 2
– sub-category 3
Category 2
Category 3
– sub-category 4
– sub-category 5
Category 1 page would show ‘sub-category 1’, ‘sub-category 2’ and ‘sub-category 3’ when using category siblings.
Category 3 page would show ‘sub-category 4’ and ‘sub-category 5’ as siblings.
Both of the above would be correct, however Category 2 page, with no available subcategories, would incorrectly show ‘Category 1’, ‘sub-category 1’, ‘sub-category 2’, ‘sub-category 3’, ‘Category 3’, ‘sub-category 4’ and ‘sub-category 5’.
In previous versions, siblings were ignored if no sub-categories are present. That’s how I believe it should be.
Hi Calin,
Just tried the flex block builder, which as you say does have the filtering options. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t let me display a ‘no results found’ message.
Thank you for the tip nonetheless.
Hi all,
Do we know if the fix has been rolled into any recent release?
Hi Calin,
Thank you for the prompt response as always. I had a play with the module builder, and though it’s very useful, I went back to Flex Block X due to its ability to filter by category.
Perhaps one for the suggestions box; it would be handy to display ‘no results’ on a Flex Block that doesn’t return results.
Hi Simion,
Thanks for the suggestion. Cache by device type was not active in APO. Going to turn it on as that sounds like the logical fix. Will let you know how it goes.
Hi Simion,
Thanks for the suggestion.
The ‘Don’t load on mobile’ option is enabled, but I actually prefer it this way, as it prevents the menu from displaying on mobile devices in a landscape orientation.
Using Cloudflare for cache.
Thank you, Calin, much appreciated.
