No extra class. The same issue applies to all our existing articles; they used to render just fine but following the latest updates we have no gap between image and paragraph.

We are running the latest versions of Newspaper and WordPress.

Here is one example. Third image down, no space between image and text starting “Plumbed with a 320W TGP…”

Here it is in the editor.

This happens on every inserted image or gallery, though manually adding a caption circumvents the issue.

One more request for the mobile plugin: make the images vertically centred for the front-page grid. Currently they are bottom aligned which in our experience isn’t ideal.

While we await the next release with a fix for the above, I’d like to ask a related question:

In the theme panel, should Enable Article Schema be turned on or off?

The official description states “You can deactivate this, when you use an SEO plugin that comes with its own markups.” If a user has a third-party plugin such as Yoast or RankMath, is there a downside to leaving the theme schema on? Don’t quite understand the permutations and would appreciate some clarification.

Have the exact same problem, would be interested to hear if there’s a resolution.

Hi Anamaria, I thought that was the case, but thought I’d check.

Given the huge rise in mobile users, perhaps additional filters for the mobile theme could be considered for future Newspaper releases.

As things stand, even the front page grid filter can only be set to one category. Would be ideal to have an option for multiple categories here too.

* Ability to sort popular articles while front-end single post view count is disabled

* Option to show popular articles using date range – i.e. popular articles from those published in last 10 days

Displaying popular articles from the last x days is important to us, and it seems odd not to be able to do so while the stats are available in the backend.

Unfortunately the code to hide post views isn’t ideal, as the view counter does show briefly before the CSS hides it.

Is there no way to get the ‘last 7 days’ filter working with Show Post Views disabled?

Just tried your recommendation and you’re right, if I enable Post View from Post Settings -> Post and Custom Post Types -> Show Post Views, the sidebar block does then show popular articles from the last 7 days.

Question now is; how can I get it to work without publicly showing post views?

Still haven’t been able to get this working.

Single post views are set not to be visible on the page (Post Settings -> Post and Custom Post Types -> Show Post Views is turned off).
However, view counts are being recorded and displayed in the list of posts in the WP dashboard.

‘USE LAST 24/48 HOURS & 7 DAYS POST SORTING’ is enabled under Block Settings.
‘ENABLE / DISABLE AJAX POST VIEW COUNT’ is also enabled under Post Settings.

When I create the relevant sidebar widget – https://imgur.com/a/BSiK7pT – choosing ‘Popular (all time)’ works, but ‘Popular (last 24hrs),’ ‘Popular (last 48hrs)’ ‘Popular (last 7 days)’ result in a blank list.

I have tried turning WP Super Cache off, but that makes no difference.
