Don’t worry about that message. You will get updates to the Visual Composer the next time that this theme gets updated 🙂

Hey there! I’m no expert, but I just went through this same thing myself, so I will try to help with what I can 🙂

So, if you’re using Chrome browser, click on the little paper/lock icon immediately to the left of your URL in the address bar. Then, click on the blue-highlighted “Details” which should open up the dev pane to the browser’s right. Finally, reload the page so that this pane can record the process. It should then alert you as to what things are being called over HTTP and need to be changed to HTTPS or a URL-relative path.

Just for your information, mixed content alerts mean that your page is being downgraded, so to speak, from full HTTPS, because your site is calling HTTP content. I notice there is a link on your menu, first of all, that is pointing to http://blog.temporadalivre.com/ rather than to the HTTPS version. You fix these, you fix your problem!

Hope that helps 🙂

Andrei, thanks so much for your response! However, I’ve updated my theme accordingly, with your VC update instructions. Also, if you look at the VC page on Code Canyon (the official sales page), many people seem to be leaving comments these past two weeks about template save issues, as well as other issues. I believe the issue is there with WP Bakery side, but any word on when it might be fixed?

I am also having this issue. Not only can I not save any new templates, but all my old templates appear to be broken now. Any ideas?

Andrei, thanks for this, but do you happen to have an estimate as to when it might be fixed? Or perhaps you have a temporary fix (like some custom CSS) that might help me until the update? Thanks so much!

Thanks Bogdan, cache was cleared and that fixed it all 🙂

Sure thing!

Hey, did you put in just the IDs, not the entire URL? Like my Facebook Page’s URL is https://www.facebook.com/dauntlessjaunter

and in this widget, you should just put “dauntlessjaunter”

This works for me, hope it helps. Good luck!

I see them on both, at least no weird characters. However, on the ‘new’ one, I don’t see the social icons on the top right.

Ok, thanks for your help! For now, it’s not the greatest of tragedies for me, as things generally are still spaced and ordered as a list, just minus the icon.

Chris, while you’re here and I have your ear, could I show you a possible related issue?

If you look at this page, which is my landing page for the continent of Africa, the countries in the three columns all show up correctly, but also without the bullet point “icons.”

However, if you look at this other page, which is my landing page for the continent of Europe, and look at the three columns of countries, do you see that the first column is far too left, and thus hidden under the left border? These countries on this page I DID NOT use the unordered listing structure, and they are just there, so that means that these now go to the left? When I played around and ‘previewed’ what would happen if I would bullet-point them into an unordered list, they come back into view, but without the bullet “icons.”

Any idea what’s up, and if this is related? Thanks so much, once again!

Christian

P.S. – Just FYI, these two pages above are ‘custom post types’ but with adjusted page templates as instructed to me by Emil.

Thanks so much, Chris, you’re always the best 🙂 So, this is a legit issue, right? But it must be the theme, I imagine, as that’s the only thing I’ve changed recently.

Anybody have any ideas? I’ve been trying to solve this, but to no avail yet.

@lrajabi, you saved my sanity! Thanks a million for posting your step-by-step!

cityslicker444

Wait, I didn’t get it to work. Is there a way to load the icons locally?

cityslicker444

I’m having the same problems, no response in that other thread yet. I really don’t want to have to mess with “CORS rules”.

cityslicker444

Never mind! I figured it out 🙂

Theme Options > Theme Colors > Header

Handiso, that seems like the right fix, but when I followed your steps, it still returned a lot of Chinese fonts and blank boxes. Am I supposed to manually change each one over to a new font and then download?

cityslicker444

Ah, that makes sense. It only has been doing it on a few, so I’ll just drop the issue unless it starts doing it for new posts/pages. Thanks for your help!

Hey, thanks for the quick answer! I tried using that field while editing the block, but to no avail. I played around and did various configurations in that post type field (putting both “country” and “country=###” for the tag id), and also putting the tag id in the two fields above it, for the multiple categories filter and tag slug.

Thanks for your help, though. Any other ideas?

Some reason it had to do with one specific photo I had, which I’ve never encountered before. It’s all working now, though. Thanks!

Radu, thanks for all your help. Since the theme changed to the new 4.0, there is no more loop-single.php, right?

Can you give me updated instructions on how to remove the author box for just one user? Thanks so much!

Emil, thanks for the response! I use several plugins, but nothing that should deter the thumbnails from being used. All Gravatar images display correctly, but the facebook ones don’t. This never bothered me, because I didn’t even know WordPress would pull FB images, but when I see the thumbnail profile pics in my admin/comment area, I was just wondering why that can’t translate over to the front-end of the site. Any ideas?

Is this going to get fixed? It’s probably not a function issue, but it is simply quite annoying and there’s no way to dismiss this message.

cityslicker444

Yes, please update! It looks like there are many key changes in this 4.2 version, chief among them being the fact that it will enable update via admin panel in the future, which I guess means we won’t have to ask again 🙂

I don’t use the SEO by Yoast plugin, and have never used it, so I’m not sure that this is the problem. I also have 0 post views on the two or three posts I have published since the latest Newspaper update.
