Thank you for your prompt reply Bettina. I would like to add a sidebar to all posts and pages to add widgets there.
In addition I would like to add the add the Art Blog Pro Must Read and Recent Articles post sidebar widgets to all my pages.
Best wishes,
Derek
This was a cache problem which I’ve fixed.
It’s ok – I’ve figured it all out myself now so don’t need help.
Thank you Bettina. Do I need to uninstall my current theme design Animal News or do I just install the new pre built design over the top of it?
Tried your suggestion but still the top bar didn’t appear. What now?
Hi, problem solved by clearing all css for icon boxes!
Thanks for all your help.
Love and light,
Derek
This worked partially. The text is centered on my mobile by some of the lines of text exceed the width of the mobile page.
Any idea how this can be fixed?
Thank you.
Thank you Anamaria. The text in the icon boxes is now centered correctly. Unfortunately the shadow lines are not. I would like to get rid of the shadow lines altogether and revert to the Style-1 default icon boxes. Unfortunately when I use the default I still have the same problem with the text centre alignment on mobiles. What custom css would I need to correct it?
Thank you.
Tried putting code into theme panel custom CSS. Unfortunately it didn’t work. If you look at my site on your mobile you’ll see the icon box problem – wagglydogs.com
Thanks. Where do I input the code?
Thank you Vlad. I have created the front page as a mobile page and everything is ok except the 6 icon boxes at the bottom of the page are not centre aligning on mobile and I would like to change the color of the blue shadow lines to hex code 14a96d.
Can you please tell me how to fix?
Thank you.
I have now fixed column problem but front page (home page) not showing icon boxes correctly on mobile.
What’s the solution?
This is urgent. Can you please tell me how to create 6 icon boxes on 2 rows with the same column width for each?
Thank you.
Hi, still waiting for a fix. Is it possible some of my theme’s files may be corrupted and if that is the case how can I reinstall the theme without losing any data/settings?
Thank you.
Sorry but that doesn’t solve the problem. The problem is when I go here https://wagglydogs.com/wp-admin/widgets.php and try to add for example a custom html widget to a widget sidebar it does not allow me to input any custom html. This applies to anything I try to add any widget to any of the Widget sidebars I have created.
1. Thanks. Unfortunately the code you provided changes the menu text to green (#14a96d). I’d like the menu text to be white (Clear) and the menu text
-
background
to be green (#14a96d).
Can you please let me have the custom css for that?
2. Can you please explain how using TagDivComposer I can add hyperlinks?
Thank you.
Thank you Vlad.
1. I have already tried to change the main menu background color in the way you have suggested to #14a96d (green) but this hasn’t worked – they are still black as you can see when you look here https://wagglydogs.com
2. I mean adding internal links to the text areas here immediately under the Title “Prepare To Be Inspired By Authors Like These” here https://wagglydogs.com
Since I’ve already spent hours trying to figure this out I’d like to suggest you add the (what I call) Newspaper 2 widget for me on my front page then I won’t have to waste more of my valuable time – I’m 70 yo so may not have much time left AND I’ll know what to do in (my limited) future!
Thank you.
Calin,
What you’re suggesting doesn’t work for me. Can’t get to drop down widget list on my Front page. Need specific directions. Step 1, step 2, step 3 etc.
Thank you so much. Perfect – it’s exactly what I wanted.
All the best.
Derek
Hi,
This is far from a satisfactory solution. Retaining view counts is essential if you run
a blog with many authors. My guess is the majority of blog owners have many authors nowadays and it is essential to retain views so that you can see how popular their posts are.
I think that this issue is so important I would like you to fix this problem for me as a matter of urgency and explain how when updating your theme I can stop the same thing happening again.
Thank you.
Derek
Hi Calin,
Unfortunately not. I contacted the plugin’s creator and this is what he said:
I asked the advice of the theme support people if <?php echo $td_mod_single->get_views();?> as the post meta in the box they provided under options was correct.
They replied…….
“No, it is not formatted correctly. You need to provide a valid callback: either a standalone function (like get_view()) or a static method in a class. Note that, anyway, the function should take in a post ID to work fine with Post Pay Counter”.
Can you advise me further in view of the plugin creator’s comments?
Thanks
I’m confused. Can you please provide the postmeta name that counts the views so that I can enter that into the field box provided by the post view counter plugin?
Thank you.
