Can I see how the newspaper theme looks in AMP? For me I can see the basic free wordpress theme 🙁 Its no where like Newspaper theme. Can you help to get that look?

And how to insert ads in between pos, Above title, below content and sticky?

Make sure all of your plugins were updated as well for the theme and then reactivated. I had that happen as well

I had this happen as well, the only way I could get it to work was to change from “Responsive” to “Fixed Height – 100px”

They showed up perfectly after that. Not sure what the fix is beyond that, but you may try it.

Yeah I assumed there wasn’t any testing done. Would there be anywhere I can edit within the theme/amp plugin files to add a statement?

I have tried this solution, but it appears that you have to have the latest version of NP in order for it to work. I have version: 8.7.4 which apparently doesn’t work.

Thank you for letting me know. Do you have an estimate on major update? I currently have my site copied and in a staging mode to update from v7.8.1

I would like to only have to do this one time vs taking the time to get everything updated to only have to do it again in a short amount of time.

Can you give me any estimate. I doubt you can give me a date, but are we talking days, weeks, or months?

Just wondering if this featured has been added yet or if there is any plans to do so?

I know it has been some time since this was asked. But can this be done in the new version? it seems the way you would have me do it is to change it so that all images would go to a certain link.

What I am looking for is to have each post have an option to make the featured image go to a specific page. So if Article 1 was about Widgetxyz and I wanted that particular post to make the featured image clickable to an affiliate page of widgetxyz.

Is that possible?

Thanks for your reply. I was asking more about how to actually do that. How do you “comment it out” so that it overrides the plugin compatibility. Then it should work with any plugin.

As a quick solution to your problem is to comment out this section in the speedbooster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh to override the plugin compatibility. Now it should work with any plugin

Yeah, it is Free. I think you can upgrade to get more features. But I currently use the free one.

I currently use “WpDiscuz” and I have posts with upwards of 500 comments.

I’m not sure if that is the best plugin to use or not though. I haven’t done any tests with another commenting system.

I’ve seen a lot of increased spam/logins on my site as well. I can’t say its from here or not. But you may try a WordPress plugin called “WordFence” as it has helped my site block a lot of IP’s and people trying to login via an unauthorized login name.

@TheRiz – That’s exactly what I did without losing any settings. I turned off Cache then dragged/dropped and uploaded.

I did mine around 3AM last night since that is when traffic is at its lowest. But I had no issues.

Which plugin are you using for Cache? Or are you using a CDN?

Did you follow the steps in https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ when updating from v4 to v6?

We used the plugin “Regenerate Thumbnails” after we upgraded to v6 to make images all correct again. Maybe try that plugin instead.

You will only lose customizations if you edited the files themselves. But your Custom CSS, Analytic code, category, post changes will all remain the same.

Just do a backup of the current folder to your desktop.

/public_html/YOURFOLDER/wp-content/themes/Newspaper

Then drop in the new 6.3.1 version. Tell it to overwrite all files.

I did this on my site without any issues.

I’ve always just reuploaded the NewsPaper theme folder.

I just upgraded my site and didn’t find any issues with this.

What version did you upgrade from?
