Ok – thanks
Coming back to this, I have tried deactivating all plugins except tagdiv Composer and Leaky Paywall (which generates the paywall) but no success. Do you have any other ideas or could take a look at it?
Thanks
Mark Gilbert
Thanks, Calin – I used FTP. I’ll have a look at your tutorial as ads are same in all categories.
Thanks – so the problem may be the Leaky Paywall plugin design, replacing my footer page with something else? Or do you say clearing cache may work? I am not using child theme or cache plugin.
Thanks, Vlad – this works. But I haven’t changed or added any plugins (except updates). I think the problem started when I installed WP 5.3. Is there a problem with WP 5.3, or a conflict with Newspaper 9.2.2?
Thanks, Calin – I will do this in a while.
I have changed all ads to gif, there are no mp4s. I have cleared caches in Firefox. Still no Article Top ad.
Can you check further to see why no Article Top ad appearing?
Thanks
MG
All the sidebar ads work, including the MP4. I have cleared the cache in Firefox, many times. Can you say why Article Top ad doesn’t appear? Can you see any code problem? Or are you saying using MP4 in sidebar is preventing Article Top ad from appearing?
Hello Calin
I have now placed code for Article Top Ad – I didn’t do it at first because I didn’t want any ad to appear while testing.
<div class=”td-all-devices”>

</div>
Can you take a look and see why it doesn’t appear? The same code works fine for Article Inline Ad. And all my other ad positions work fine – see sidebar and leaderboard – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2019/04/17/harold-land-four-classic-albums/
Thanks
Mark
Thank again, Calin.
Ah, ok – I got it, thanks for detailed help. Can I change the font size on the words Reviewer rating likewise?

I see you have supplied a diagram – many thanks – but I don’t see Link CSS editor in my Edit Posts window. And would I have to do this for every post?
Thanks, Calin – if I want to use your custom css, where do I put this?
Thanks, Calin.
Hi Bogdan, sorry for delay in reply. Here’s the site: https://jazzjournal.co.uk.
I do not have a top of article ad in place right now. Do I need to for you to test?
Thanks
Mark
Many thanks, Catalin – I don’t code much – can you tell me exactly what code to delete and what to replace it with?
Hi Catalin – that’s correct – but please read my detailed description above. To repeat, I already have Show Author Name and Show Date activated in “Meta info on Blocks/Modules”.
However, author and date only show if I select M8 as display view – see here: https://jazzjournal.co.uk/category/reviews/audio-reviews/
If I select M6 or M7, no author appears, only date – see here: https://jazzjournal.co.uk/category/reviews/book-reviews/
I thought perhaps images were the problem, but another ADV with images, M16, allows author and date to appear. So the problem seems to be with M6 and M7 (and perhaps other views – I haven’t checked all of them).
I have cleared caches, but how do I purge CDN?
Thanks
Mark Gilbert
But if I add Show Review in Mera Info, Author and Date disappear from M8. So there are quite a few problems with Category settings?
Thanks
MG
I now see that if I select M8 as Article Display View (in other words, no featured images) then author and date do both appear. If I use M6 (or M7), no author appears. Another ADV with pictures, M16, allows author to appear.
Does this help you identify the problem?
Thanks
MG
Hi Catalin – not quite ready to load the update yet but I just noticed something. This page – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/category/letters/ is showing author and date. No other category page is. “jazzjournal” is the only user defined as administrator. All other users are either “contributor” or “editor”. Could this be a factor?
However, jazzjournal is used for Hermeto Pascoal (https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2019/02/27/hermeto-pascoal-that-crazy-brazilian-albino/) but the category page – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/category/features/ – does not show author for that.
Many thanks
MG
Thanks, Calin, but I need to have some words italic and some not in the same title. For example if I set the title of this post
https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2019/01/20/yelena-eckemoff-better-than-gold-and-silver/
as Yelena Eckemoff: Better than Gold and Silver
in the sidebar “Most-read audio reviews” Better than Gold and Silver will not inherit the italics.
Thanks – ok now.
I thought so, thanks – but since Gutenberg is coming forever it makes sense to follow.
Many thanks for your reply, Calin – I understand (hence “Flex” box, I suppose) but this would be a very good feature to add here – then I could load posts without constant adjustment to element depth.
I see that setting characters could fix this but it doesn’t look professional for a publication to end words half way through! You know journalists! Please consider make element depth fixable in next update. Newspapers would love it.
Regards
MG
Whoops – found the code elsewhere, so solved. But it would be good to have a image URL field in the widget…
