Ah – now I see the source of the problem. I have been cloning existing articles as template for new articles and this carries over the post view figure! Ridiculous. Anyone know how to zero the post view count?

Hi Calin – it’s certainly adding new views each time you go to the page. The point is, it’s was showing 1700+ at publication, even in draft. I’m not sure you’ve understood that.

Thanks – but it’s not just duplication. The article published with over 1700 views. It showed 1700 in WP admin even in draft.

It previously shared with same length titles, and will still do so to personal FB page. It seems something has changed with FB business pages.

Calin, Bettina – are you sharing to a personal Facebook page? I can do that, but not to my Facebook business page. I used to be able to share to https://www.facebook.com/JazzJournal. Now it just hangs – the post share box never loads completely.

Tried in Firefox instead of Safari – same thing. I’ll try Chrome. Or maybe my computer is just too old. Thanks for testing.

It seems it won’t appear in Style 1, with the indented image.

Ah – now I see the problem is that selecting Featured Image in WP will insert the featured image but with no possibility of caption (and it doesn’t bring the caption from Media folder). If I select the same image using just Image in WP, it’s fine and the caption comes too.

So much wrong with WP, as always. Every improvement seems to make WP harder to use.

I have checked Preferences and I think every other option in WP but can’t find any option to add caption control.

Also, normally the caption given in Media will show automatically but it doesn’t when featured image is in the article. Is that normal?

I have managed to work around by modifying the Town Talk template as here:

…but it involves inserting the image in WordPress (never any fun) and I would rather have a cloud template that automatically includes a featured image in this position – so please do answer my initial enquiry above.

Another question: if I do use the WP method and manually insert the featured image, how can I get the featured image to show the caption allocated in the media directory? I can’t see any option to so in WP, nor in the Single Post Content element.

Hello Anamaria – thanks for this. I have deleted the page cache in Super Cache several times and had my host disable and re-enable object cache in the wp-config.php file. No file called “object-cache.php” exists in my WP. I still cannot hide any Flex Block 1 article.

Ad Box and Button elements are hiding fine. Flex Block 1 will not. I cloned one of my Flex Block 1 articles and changed it to Flex Block 3 – it hid fine. Is there a problem with Flex Block 1?

Hi Bettina – I can’t make this work. Can you take a look at this Guardian page – https://www.theguardian.com/uk – and reduce your browser size through tablet viewports to see how the time line (for example, “5m ago”) always sticks to a bottom line no matter what viewport is used? Can Newspaper do this?

If your “border-bottom of each element/row/column (CSS tab) or the separator shortcode” can work, can you give me a graphic example?

Thanks – not sure if you mean edit the front page where tabbed content is placed or edit the originating pages. But in neither case can I see any padding. I can’t see any padding in CSS row, column or element:
