Hi Anamarie, sorry but I still don’t understand what you mean. It’s not possible to add column text or additional fields into the newsletter form in tagdiv..

Hi Anamarie,

We use mailchimp but the link you sent isn’t relevant. I’m asking how to use the pre-built form that comes with TagDiv.. I’d like to add First and Last name to that form. The first/last names are already selected within Mailchimp, so the problem isn’t mapping to mailchimp. The problem is that the fields don’t exist in the form. Please let me know? Thanks!

Sure I’ve just sent an email. Thanks!

Still the same. I’ve also tried a private browser.

Hi no, that didn’t work. The problem is with the full page, not any columns –

Thanks, Anamaria. I have checked 3 different browsers and my phone, and they all still show the unpublished articles.

OK, thanks, I’ve emailed.

Hi Bettina, unfortunately that didn’t work. :/

Hi Bettina,

That code actually centered all things on the page (headers, titles, bylines, social, etc).

It worked! Thanks, Calin!!

Hi Anamarie yes I’ve tried that and nothing works.

Thanks, Bettina, how did you do that? There doesn’t seem to be a text align option in tagdiv, just the H.align (which is already centered).

Hi Bettina,

Adding a margin to the widget didn’t change anything.

Hi Anamarie, that doesn’t work for a custom field. The custom field still wraps the text.

Hi Calin,

I noticed on mobile the custom fields are wrapping. Do you know how to fix this? Please see here: https://snipboard.io/XDy1Mp.jpg (The custom field is the “medically reviewed” byline). Thanks!

Amazing thank you!

Hi Colin,

The Guest Authors plug-in you mentioned doesn’t actually work. Per the plug-in, there should be a way to alternate between guests and users, and there isn’t. Do you know?

As for the content, yes, I need to be able to show all articles the author contributed to. Is this possible? Otherwise, is it possible to tag the author using the author’s name in each post, and display a posts loop by tag? However, the tag would need to be hidden from the page.

Hi Calin,

It’s not really an option because if we have 50 freelancers, we won’t be able to maintain updating every page when we have design or copy changes. Aside from linking, how can I create a design template that I can use multiple times, versus re-creating a page 50 times and updating 50 times? It is possible to use templates in this way?

Thanks!

Hi Anamaria,

Unfortunately that doesn’t work. The guest authors are created via custom fields, so they aren’t listed in the user panel. I need to link each of them to an author page, and I’d like to use a template, so that we don’t have to create a new page for every author. Let me know?

Thanks!

Megan

Calin – it worked! Like magic. 🙂 🙂 Thank you so much!

Perfect, thanks, Calin!

As for the alignment, it works fine in tagdiv composer for horizontal alignment. It just doesn’t work for vertical alignment. Wouldn’t that be a problem with tagdiv? Is it necessary to add custom css?

Hi Calin,

I figured out a workaround, furthering through the initial instructions from HeritageLab. This workaround means I don’t need to install the advanced fields plug-in.

In the custom field value box, I simply include:
(<)img src=”” alt=”” width=”20″ height=”20″ border-radius=”50%”(>) Medically Reviewed by (<)a href=””(>)(<)b(>)(name)(<)/b(>)(<)/a(>), (title)

You can see the example here: https://rareparenting.com/what-is-occupational-therapy-for-children/

The only problem is that the border radius isn’t working. Could you let me know how to update this so it works?

Also, the alignment of the custom field also doesn’t work, within the TagDiv designer. It horizontally aligns but the vertical alignment doesn’t work. Any ideas about this?

Overall, this does mean a lot of work per-post, so it would be great if the theme can be updated to accommodate guest authors, multiple authors, and two rows.

Thanks!
