I guess the schema “name”, e.g. the item being reviewed is missing. All stars are gone from SERPs so this would be kind of urgent to get updated.

Same here. I am looking for a way to show published date, in case of an update, show modified date as well.
Plus, show the modified date in schema SERP results to highlight that the post is not many years old.
Please implement this is the next theme update.

I don’t want to show the same add on all devices.

The horizontal one for desktop …728×90.jpg

and … _300x250.jpg for the phone.

Right now both show for approx one second on both devices, then after showing up, the one which is not supposed to show disappears… which is not a very nice user experience.

What you told me is understood. I can deactivate ad code on some devices (in this case for tablets, which I did), but I still need to insert ad variations for the desktop/phone.

Please advise if this loading/choosing/arranging process can be done without this delay or at least without the display of both ads; e.g. could shortcodes do a better job than image URLs?

I found the plugin that caused the problem: It was caused by the WP Retina 2x plugin. After uninstalling the plugin it works fine now.

After running a test on the Firefox developer browser (picking a mobile device), I discovered this error message in the console when on the non-working categories:

TypeError: jQuery(…).attr(…) is undefined[Learn More]

I have tested on 2 iPhones and the online simulator browserstack.com and it won’t work.

Yes, it seems to be best practice to start the content with a h2, h1 being the post title.

H1 is the title of the page or the blog post, and you should only use it once per article. Other headings can be used multiple times, as long as they follow a hierarchical structure – so you should use H2 before you use H3 within a topic.

So you recommend not to use a h1 in the blog visual editor as the title is already h1?

It seems rather strange that it works on the Newspaper AMP theme (by AMP for WordPress) which tends to strip down everything.

Normally it’s the other way around, fancy thinks don’t work in AMP.

Maybe the Newspaper is having a code line which does prevent shortcodes to show. These are simple text output short code, e.g. displaying a product price.

ok, so a possible work around could be that in a future update in the “Block Settings” you allow show/hide date in “meta info on modules/blocks” > 1. Show Date for Posts (already there) 2. Show Date for Pages (not there, would be nice to have).

I don’t know how difficult this is to implement from a coding perspective, but it would be nice to have this function in a future update.

Hi, I am not referring to the date on the pages or post.

The discussion I am trying to make here is about the date in the sidebar widget not the date on single posts or pages.

We want the date of posts to show in the block 7 sidebar widget but to hide the date if the block 7 sidebar widget displays (filtered) pages.

this option works fine across posts and pages (date is hidden).

However, we want to hide the date only for pages (not for posts).
The reason being is that pages are mostly evergreen content and it may look outdated even if it’s still very much relevant.
Whereas posts should highlight the date as publishing date shows freshness of content.

Please advise how to hide the date meta in widgets/sidebars only for pages and keep it for posts.
