In the latest theme version 6.x we have done a lot of optimization and speed improvements, and should work better with large taxonomies. I checked you site and on fronted is SUPER fast.

I know that the VC plugin had made some improvements to in the latest version, some people complain about VC speed issue in some versions.

On our side the back-end works fine, probably because we doesn’t have so many posts. We made some tests with 50k tags and categories and works pretty well.

The views should work without ajax enabled, if you don’t use a caching plugin. About the 7 days views, is not possible to reset the counter, but not needed, because the views are done on each day per 7 day period.

We don’t have a copy of that plugin to test it, sorry about that.

The latest theme version is 6.1. We no more longer support old theme versions, sorry for the inconvenience. We have fixed a lot in the latest update. We strongly recommend to update to the latest theme version(before doing that please make sure you backup all your files and database).
