They do not work with newspaper

Hi, any update if this feature is coming to Newspaper, highly sought after by many live blog users.

Guys, there is a workaround without disabling RankMath as most of us use it for SEO. Till the time they do not find a solution.

I rolled back to version. 1.0.258 of rankmath and everything started to work.

You can use the Wp-rollback plugin for the same.

I have put it up in Rankmath support let’s see what they come up with.

Yes, same problem can be seen on other friends websites. Many have moved away from Newspaper theme. Not enough updates are coming out from NewsPaper makers TagDiv, 2-3 years ago they used to quickly solve issues and bug fixes and push out new updates for the themes, which were modern and new features were brought. They are not keeping up with the times and a lot of features like infinite loading with ads are not working. “Read more” feature on the article page was also to be brought, but never came.

Now the LCP, FCP and CLS of the theme are also going high, resulting in revenue and viewer loss.

Even after using top-end cache paid cache plugins, the newspaper theme is very, very outdated and heavy. Hope they fix things and make the theme lighter in regulations with Google Pagespeeds insights.

Hi, yes facing the same issue. Suddenly all big grid flex colums have stopped working cannot see any images.

We found the problem, Force Rewrite titles in Yoast SEO was enabled. We disabled it, 2nd title went away.

Hi, we use just 1 plugin for SEO.
and Paid Yoast.
Disabling the paid/premium version does nothing. only when we disable yoast main plugin then the whole 2nd title goes away.

Thanks for the update Ana, this is one of the most sought-after features when it comes to SEO as it increases engagement, which Search Engines are looking for. Hopefully, soon we will be able to see it and other good new SEO innovations.

Thanks, we disabled the Standard pack and were able to see the mobile post settings. As we are very old-time users of Newspaper theme on multiple websites of ours, we built this website with the standard pack. However, realised only 1-2 elements/blocks are on standard pack rest we have already updated to the new one.
Disabling the standard pack will improve website performance is what I read in one of your blog posts?

Few questions as we are trying to make the mobile theme better.

1) How can we change the font size and colour of the breadcrumbs on top of the article page?
2) How can we change the font size and colour of the subtitle under the headline/article title on the article page?
3) How Can we rename the “modified date” to “Last Updated”? And also how can we change its and “By Author” colours?

thank, we found what was causing the error on the homepage, it was WordFence.
Which is very strange, wordfence works very well with Newspaper.

However we turned it off and we were able to get in to composer on the homepage.

We use Mobile theme for Mobile + AMP. However when putting it to just Mobile. It is not showing Post settings – Under Mobile themes tab.

Any workaround, should we disable the mobile theme then?

As different dates is not What any Search engine and definitely not what Google wants.

Thanks, that worked after 2-3 saves. Also, if anyone is using cache plugin, you have to deactivate the cache plugin once, save the settings in the theme panel and then it works. Then you can reactivate the cache plugin.

Thanks @Calin, hope it can be taken as top most and tier 1 priority. As revenue is extremely important for each and every publisher and this has been lingering for a very long time now.

thanks, Ana, then for future update my feedback is to find another way of infinite loading. Other themes on Envato have infinite load and the ads are working there, even on mobile sites some themes have infinite load with ads.

If users are not able to display ads within your theme, then why will one go with Newspaper theme?

Something needs to be done in the near future update, my strong feedback as we have been using Newspaper for 8 years now.

Yes, true it is a significant revenue loss. Hope @Calin and the team can find a solution soon as we tried it on a few other competing themes on our partner websites and there the infinite scroll and Google Ads work superbly well.

We have been suffering for a very long time now and no one should wait to get a resolution for a non-working of a plugin that is owned by TagDiv. Please check the email and take this up on priority please.

If you cannot let me know what the problem is or how to solve it, please let me know. We will move away from Newspaper theme.

We cannot wait for weeks to get a simple resolution that your cloud library plugin is corrupt and not working (as we moved to a fresh new dedicated server just to test it out as well, and there too it crashes the site), which is why our website crashes and without Tagdiv Cloud library header and footers do not work.

Really sad, that a 10-year-old customer who has multiple websites working on Newspaper with legit licenses has to wait for such a long time. Others on the forums are also complaining about this plugin that has bad PHP code in it.
