Hi,
If you put the php code between apostrophes like this: http://screencast.com/t/JuxaG3bp it will be interpreted as a string and the output it will be parsed like it is not rendering the code.
Try to concatenate the script and the rest of the html after the do_shortcode function, it should look something like this: http://screencast.com/t/au5wceeOH – while you declare a variable you don’t need to php tags anymore as you are already in php language.
If you still have issues with this and can’t manage to do it we suggest you get a freelancer to do it for you as you need custom work for this.
Thanks
Hi,
As Alin pointed using the theme’s Visual Composer plugin, that VC element along with others should not appear in VC elements list ad they all were disable by. You can check your functions file for this function and check if you have the same: http://screencast.com/t/rES76ro4
All Visual Composer elements will be added and fixed from version 5 of the theme including the post grid elements.
Please also provide your site’s URL or admin login if possible and/or if you want us to look into this to see why those vc elements appear in your editor if we have disabled them and you haven;t enabled them from your function file and you sue the VC version provide by us so they shouldn’t.
Use our email address to send us your admin login details and also include a link tot this tread: contact@tagdiv.com
Thanks
Hi,
Using a dot to remove the category base from your permalinks structure is not a well tested and an clean way to do this and from my research I’m not sure why the category base is removed when using a dot there or how this is working therefore is unstable and not reliable. Based on this article the post permalink structure needs to be set to /%category%/%postname%/ for this to work: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/removing-category-base-urls-wordpress/?utm_expid=3606929-32.jVSGECWYSiWZJXI3ODEEGA.0&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.ro%2F
My advice is to use the plugin also mentioned there as just keeping it active will remove the category base: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fv-top-level-cats/
Thanks
Hi,
We have this on our todo list and we’ll fix it in the next theme update.
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, place your code similar to this script in the header file: http://screencast.com/t/48qGROIW
Thanks
Hi,
We haven’t tested the Facebook plugin with the theme so unfortunately I can’t say for sure however I believe an option regarding the this should be in the plugin as og:image:width, og:image:height properties aren’t usually added by social plugins so there should be an option present for this in plugin’s configuration.
Please let me know if you have any updates on this and also provide your site’s URL.
Thanks
Hi,
This how I see your site in google’s search: http://screencast.com/t/XFh3Sy0Lb

Hi,
We aren’t aware of anything like this, if you have any real/concrete info on this please share it with us.
Please also note that our themes, and any other themes for that matter, have been tested and analyzed by Envato reviewers therefore if something was against their rules any of the themes would not pass their reviews.
Thanks
Hi,
It’s not a mistake. The post image effect was built using a background image there so settings another would break this feature, that’s why the background image isn’t setting there.
We’ll try to find another approach for this in the coming updates.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks
Hi,
We haven’t tested that plugin with the theme so we’re not aware of its coding. You can try to search for a solution for this online or search for an alternative for the plugin as we cannot test the plugin at the moment to provide a better answer on this and you need custom work for this as well. You can hire someone to look into this if you really need it.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The theme only adds the og:image and author meta tags so you need to use a plugin for those other og tags which the plugin adds on your page: http://screencast.com/t/vfOxcMwsZDHR and the sharer needs.
We recommend using the Yoast WordPress SEO: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ for this which adds those tags automatically to your page and it also gives you the ability to control those meta tags content from post editor and most of all it has been tested and works with the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately we haven’t tested the theme using the “Thrive Leads” plugin so we’re not aware of its coding but you could address this to plugin’s authors also and you could also check plugin’s settings/configuration for options which could conflict with theme’s pagination and also check plugin’s documentation for any references related to your issue.
Thanks
Hi,
Not sure about the accordion shortcode, please provide wp-access so we can check it and send you wp-admin login details via email at contact@tagdiv.com and also provide a link to this conversation.
We are aware of the VC buttons elements issues. This happens as the Visual Composer the classes have changed and the buttons that we haven styled lost their css, we have this on our todo list and we are working on it unfortunately we still have incompatibility issues regarding VC style. Note though that all Visual Composer elements have been restyled in the newspaper theme version 5 and all incompatibility regarding VC elements have been fixed.
You can find a solution for this in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21804 or use this custom css code in theme panel > custom css section: http://screencast.com/t/SWo34rkap8 – http://pastebin.com/YwyC14Zp
Thanks
Hi,
Setting the z-index to 0 for the rev slider usually solves this so make sure you use this custom css in theme panel custom css section:
.rev_slider_wrapper {
z-index: 0 !important;
}
If this dose not solve this please also provide your site’s ulr as we need to inspect this to provide and accurate solution on this.
Thanks
Hi,
I see you use an very old theme version (1.7) while the latest version is 4.6.3 now available on themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads so you need to change this sign theme’s customizer: http://screencast.com/t/ZIeLRKDWf2q If this cusomtizer isn’t working for you then you would have to update your theme and use the latest version’s features and panel to change the copyright date and text as you like.
To update the theme please follow the theme update guide paste below and make sure you backup your current theme an WordPress installations so you can revert back to them if something goes wrong: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Use thew instructions from this guide and update the theme to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/ – download the latest theme from themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads then use the FTP method and remove the old theme files and upload the new ones. After this you’ll or you can use the Visual Composer plugin to build you pages/posts content and layouts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Make sure you go trough all theme’s documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
If you don’t want to update the theme then you can change the copyright text and date hard coded and replace the $tds_footer_copyright variable with a string 'Copyright 2022 - your text' like this: http://screencast.com/t/JR6vKdsX – http://screencast.com/t/yE0HIIS2
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve checked your site and noticed all this 404 errors to theme’s resources (images/sprites/icons..) in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/wTCIpzv8byub
Make sure you also test this using the main theme and without plugins and make sure you also empty all caches then test again.
Let me know how it goes and also try to update the child theme, backup the change made to theme’s files there, update it and do the changes again and also make sure that you adapt the child theme customization to the latest theme files.
Let us know how ti goes using the main theme.
Thanks
Hi,
The itemprop="mainContentOfPage" microdata property is not an required property for the articles or reviews markup. The maincontentofpage property is a webpage type property: http://screencast.com/t/0nAUlGzFw9 not for articles or reviews types.
The markup system will be reviewed in version 5 (available towards the end of the month) of the theme all will work fine.
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for this. You could try the solution provide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/conditional-logic-for-menu/#post-20087 ..or a similar one, either way you would need custom work for this. We recommend you to hire a freelancer if you don’t know how to implement or achieve this by yourself. You can get one from site’s like: http://studio.envato.com/
Thanks

Hi,
We’ll have to investigate this our self so I’ll add this to our todo list fro further testing and see if we can find the reason for this.
We’ll get back to you if we have an update on this.
Thanks for letting us know about this!
Hi,
@rjohansen Chris is right! You don’t need to worry. If you have already purchased 3 licenses then you can use any license code for download updates and receive support.
Thanks
Hi,
The same way you use the plugin’s shortcodes to place the ad into posts’s content you can use theme’s ad spots shortcodes and place them in your posts’s content. So add your adsense code in one of the custom ad spots in theme panel ads section, customize your ad to use a 728×90 dimensions then use that ad spot shortcode and place it in post’s content: http://screencast.com/t/IMY84ut7 – http://screencast.com/t/2XxSnk2bd – http://screencast.com/t/8veDT9YMjZz
You can find each spot shortcode by adding the adbox VC element then switch to the classic view: http://screencast.com/t/LNIfxm6FB1u9 – http://screencast.com/t/3r1JL0AQcb
Thanks
Hi,
It seems that the adblock filters detect the ad container based on their classes so you could try to change those classes to avoid this.
Please check this tread fro more info on this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/header-ad-not-showing/
Thanks
Hi,
The latest theme version now available on themeforest has the new YouTube API support: http://screencast.com/t/sn8cSnukhgT
Please make sure that you update your theme to the latest version and test again: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Thanks
