Hi. I see that they put a lot of effort to the Newspaper pepa (already in 8), however I do not see that NewsMag advances, for example in design improvements or templates. I have an idea that would improve this template, which looks like a forgotten child. Thank you.
Hello! Where in the font settings can I change the font style for the title of the Category pages? Seen here (http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/category/gallery/) the title “Gallery” is seen as black and all caps. I would like for it to be blue and not caps, and possibly smaller. I’ve looked through the font settings in the Theme Panel and can’t seem to find where to change it. Can you tell me where? Thanks!!

Having a strange issue that just started – On posts the content jumps to the right, as you start to scroll it returns. Looks very messy at the beginning and I am not sure where to start poking to fix. Any ideas?

Is there another way to build pages besides TagDiv – as it is one of the worst page builders out there. It makes editing & building pages extremely slow. It is not fully compatible with Chrome and it has serious bugs. You also don’t have any proper documentation on it (besides a 3min video)!
The sidebar for editing the page also isn’t wide enough so it’s impossible to see what you’re editing half the time!
Please let me know if there are any other alternatives or if I can still use Visual Composer.

Here’s an example for two different post using Homepage Post type:
https://revistacosmos.com/axis-mundi-si-geto-dacia/ – this photo is almost square (1600×1500) and it’s working.
https://revistacosmos.com/sirul-fibonacci-ascuns-in-data-nasterii/ – this photo is wide
(1700×1000) and shows a bad stretch.
The wider the photo the more it looks incorrectly.
I know is working good for the default theme. I use only legitimate plugins and I can’t disable them because they are vital. I was hoping you guys have an idea, otherwise I’ll have to make sure I’ll upload each time photos that aren’t wide.

1) I’ve recently updated the theme to v8 (via FTP after deleting old files), however in WordPress it still shows as v7.6. I’ve checked the uploaded files (style.css) and it shows as V8. Cache has been cleared. Please advise.
2) The sticky menu changes the size of the menu & logo everytime I scroll. Please let me know how I can get the menu & logo to be the same size when it’s static & scrolling. Thanks.
3) When my page initially loads a boxed version, and then reverts to a wide page layout. Is there any way to avoid this – so that it just loads the wide layout immediately?

Sorry but there is no option to show posts from the last 30 days.
The sorting option of the posts of the last 7 days mentions posts that are famous in the past 7 days. It is not about posts published in the past 7 days but rather the posts with the most views in the last 7 days. If your posts from 2 years back get the most views, then they will show up.

I’m experiencing issues with “Homepage post” block images when trying to resize the screen. It appears to be a responsive problem.
It appears that when I use wide photos I have problems, but with square images it works ok.
This is an example when I adjust the window explorer:

Hi, we are in bad time here.
Our theme child have missing Excerpt and Content Restriction Messages (a kind of paywall that links the subscription page) of Woocommerce Memberships plugin.
Yes, i know that this plugin is not officially supported but always worked perfectly up to the updating of the master theme to 8.0.
On my local test i see that if i reset (this operation is dangerous) the child theme the Excerpt and Content Restriction Message are present. So the problem i think are theme options but after 5 hours testing i do not understand the problem. So the only way is reset but i do not want lost menu/widget and other.

On console i see that the class div class “woocommerce-info wc-restricted…” under div class td-post-content is not loaded.

We have a huge problem that comes about when we get a moderate amount of traffic to our site. Our servers are not the problem – our host has confirmed that they have sufficient resources. The issues is with your theme, and constant ajax.php requests that are exhausting our server’s Apache workers.
We are now unable to access the wp-admin of our site when we receive a moderate amount of traffic and we require this issue resolve immediately.
Our server engineers have determined that the POST request to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php call is calling this function – td_ajax_update_views which is defined in those files:

The engineers say that themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster is the one causing the Apache workers to be exhausted, and to bring this to your attention as you should be aware of this issue and be able to further disable or edit the functionality without causing disruption to our website.
Any suggestion as what could be it in child theme? Note that I made the child theme when I was in NP6 level. Do I need to recreate it to match with NP8?
I had 2 modified files in woocommerce/single-product.php & archive-product.php.
Anything that I have to differently in NP8 now?

Maybe you have another conflicting plugin that prevents the product category from providing the results. Here is an example from my end:

Please disable all plugins except the page builder and woocommerce, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I use ‘Easy Social Sharing plugin’ to display FB comments currently and have used the method you have described above too in the past, but the issue remained same.
Actually, I again checked by simply deactivating all the plugins and running default Newspaper theme only, it still loads the <script id=”facebook-jssdk” src=”//connect.facebook.net/tl_PH/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3″></script> when checked under Google Chrome inspect elements.
So, it’s sure that it’s coming from theme but it’s also quite clear since you guys hasn’t included anything like this, it might externally have been embedded somewhere which I am not sure how.
It appears on pages where there is some Facebook post embed etc. is there. You know that now we only need to insert links to embed Facebook posts, images etc. We no more need to write an embed code here. So, it might be possible that the default wordpress code has been changed. How this facebook embed works? Does the Facebook API part of WordPress core files or the newspaper theme.
If you can help me understand the location of the default Facebook API, it might give me a direction to search for it.
What I see is this JS currently under the head section. If you need login access to inspect around, kindly let me know.

When the post is contained of Facebook post embeds, everything is fine except when this post is shown on the homepage in some of the blocks where it automatically pulls “text excerpt” bellow the image.

If a post has multiple categories, setting a primary category will ensure that it’s tag will be displayed on the modules.
For example this post has three categories

By default the primary category will be the first one alphabetically, and it’s tag will be displayed

This may be over-complicating things in regards of categories. The category structure should be clear and have a logic behind it. One should try not to hide posts from categories, or categories from posts.

So, I have setup Facebook comments plugin to comment using Facebook. But it’s default language is displaying t1_PH, when checked on Facebook. This is Tagalog – PHILIPPINES (PH) language. In my consciousness, I have never setup this language. I also checked the Language setting on Facebook, and it’s set to English.
Here is the related javascript that loads under my header:

I have checked and tried disabling all other plugins but couldn’t find the origin of this JS. Does Newspaper theme load Facebook API JS on our site? If yes, how can I check if somehow the language has been changed there?

Yes, I think there’s a misunderstanding. Let’s use the “Get Inspired” category as an example. I would like for the Get Inspired tag to show on the category page, but I do not want it to show on the post, or on any of the modules. So, for example, a post will have two categories: Get Inspired and Photography. I want it to display “Photography” but not Get Inspired. But if I go to the categories page, there will be a “Get Inspired” tag, and if I click on it, that post will be there. How can I do this? (By the way, I tried setting the primary category, but the post and modules will still show the other category that I don’t want displayed.)
