2)I suppose that you want to display the ads after the main menu bar, for every post,page and category page, right? Please notice that our theme does not have such an option to add this but only with a bit of coding. The only way to add a banner ad above the menu is using the do_shortcode method which you will have to add in the corresponding file for page/post/category template. For the events post template you have to change the condition. In the code provided above, there is a is_category function mentioned so it will only be different on that specific category. For your custom post type, you will have to search for a function that can target the event post type. If you want to add a table in Newspaper theme you will have to use a bit of HTML code for generating this.
As a hint, this is a table with some links which are added through HTML. It’s a bit more complicated than that upon inspecting the element closer, It comes directly from facebook within an iframe and an iframe cannot be targeted with css. As an alternative you can try to implement a different facebook button like this example: http://screencast.com/t/OegGtb7D
For this design, you have to do a few steps like so:

2) Press the get code button.

I have noticed that you are using the all of three way to shows the ads, like article top ad, article inline ad, and article bottom ad, from Theme panel. Also, I have noticed that you are using the ad to your top of your sidebar.
