Thank you Anamaria for your reply, I think my problem is different than the one mentioned in the link you provided.
I have no problem in the header and footer and some other templates (Like post template for example).
My problem is specifically in the “Search” and “404” templates, theme configurations do not allow me to choose a different template for each language (for example, when I choose the English template of Search it applies on the Arabic interface as well.
If I change the interface to Arabic and choose the Arabic search template, it applies to the English too as well.

Hello,

just in case someone has the same problem, here is the solution to add Custom Post Types into the loop of AMP-Pages. Of course this has to be done after every theme-update.

In /wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php add the following function:

function add_custom_post_type_to_query( $query ) { if (is_home() || is_archive()) { $query->set( 'post_type', array('post', 'your_CPT_name_here') ); } } add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'add_custom_post_type_to_query' );

Mobile
1. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by RWD? The AMP works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Documentation here:

Note that you can not customize AMP so much, because it comes with its own design.
There are some settings in the Theme panel -> Mobile Theme and Dashboard -> AMP only.
You can not add a shortcode as in the TagDiv Composer. Please note that you can’t customize the AMP pages with the TagDiv Composer.
Make sure the redirect mobile visitors to the amp option is disabled.

Hello,
I have a multi-language website (English & Arabic) and I use “Polylang” addon.
I want to use a different template for each language (for example: Search template and 404 template), when i go to “newspaper theme panel” then “template settings” then “Search template” for example and choose a template (the English one) it applies on both Arabic and English language, but I need the “Search Page” to be in Arabic when the user is using the Arabic interface.
How can I achieve this?

I want to create a DYNAMIC LINK by using ACF Field. From what your answer above is just a way to Display the ACF Field. and BY using CUSTOM FIELD block it have a unique url not dynamic that I can input from the back-end.

How to use ACF Fields in a href html tag?

Example:
I create a Directory Page where URL is different from each shop.
I have a Shop URL : http://www.someoneshop.com << this has two ACF value(display text; URL)
so from the Back-end I can input the value (display text; url) and it’s will display the dynamic link in the front end for visitor to see.

something like this:

Hello,
I have a custom post type “podcast”. On the AMP version of the startpage those CPT is not displayed in the latest post list. I have AMP plugin installed and use the mobile theme for AMP pages. How can I enable CPT in that list?

AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is an optimised website page format for mobile devices. AMP pages are designed to provide accelerated page display on mobile platforms. There are several plugins that automate this. In practical terms, it is an automatically generated, slimmed-down version of your website.

It was also practical for a long time, as AMP pages ranked better, but the advantage is now gone.

I would no longer recommend relying on AMP. Google has dropped AMP and more and more websites are throwing it out. It is also a lot of work as errors occur time and again that can lead to ranking collapses.

For the mobile version, we have 3 options. The best one depends on each user. You can choose to use whichever one is more affordable and useful for you.

The best and newest feature is the mobile pages, which are 100% customizable and work as you want.

Hello,

The mobile pages are empty because you are using the mobile theme with amp, and when you are using the mobile theme this will overwrite the responsive version to make it faster the pages need to be made using the mobile editor -> https://i.imgur.com/bK2ykfh.png (because most of the time those are made using builders).
What you can do is to set a mobile content for those pages, or use the mobile theme with amp only for posts -> https://i.imgur.com/PM9X2ln.png

My Site, ( https://micheletorr.net ) is based on Newspaper 11.5 with the igossip demo. The site works very well, on both desktop and mobile, there are only a few little design problems with ACF-Fields. My site is a Fan-Site, and for Fan-sites of any kind the user-experience is one of the most important things. So i ask any one who reads this: Is there a real good advantage for the User-Experience, made by the mobile theme ? And is it worth to change a running system.

An example with smartphones. If you have an iPhone 5, and you are very satisfied with it, you have a big advantage when you switch to an iPhone 12, despite all your satisfaction. A bigger one than if you switch from an Iphone 12 to an Iphone 13 Plus. This is what i want to know.

Hi, it appears that when I save an element for later use it is not available for adding into another page. For example on this page https://gotomarket.global/us-federal-contracts-panel-348/ a saved module with the title Orr Vinegold is visible. On this page https://gotomarket.global/events/better-business-with-europe-349/ and others, Orr is not available.

I assumed that the purpose of this feature is to build a library of common objects. However, if their usage is restricted then this is of little value. Or maybe there is a bug or a cache issue etc.

Hello!

Yes, there is not a problem, it is normal to change that number automatically after you refresh the page for example. In this case, you need to create a class for that element and apply the custom code in order to have the border radius.
Please note that the border radius option from Composer is not working when you have a background color set up.

Hi!

In popular digital news platforms, one often comes across a second sticky header feat. the title of the article and social share links. This is especially helpful in mobile views. Is there a way to create something like this using the Newspaper theme?

I know I can create a sticky row – but how do I set it to feat the article title each time or appear only when a reader has scrolled a bit?

Hi,
It is possible to be something that is blocking the wp-editor request. Usually this can be seen in the console.
If I understand correctly, you reedy tried the steps from our guide, if you didn’t see the code like in our example, then the problem is caused by a different setting or plugin

If you test it only with tagDiv plugins, the problem persist?

Modify featured image size in post page - reply

Hi,
Normally, if you use a de post style 1 the featured image will be set in a small format, but if you use default, style 2,3,4,5,6,8 the the full width image should be used.
Now in some situations if you are using optimization plugins those can interfere to set a smaller thumbnail for the featured image, for example -> https://i.imgur.com/zzxKnia.png
I recommend to do some tests using only the theme plugins and see if the small thumb is still used for the featured image.

Resize / contain image in flex block 1, via css ? - topic

Hello,

we set our flex block 1 to the pre made style presets, image of ratio 4:3.
Sometimes however the image won’t show that nicely, like in the example below (rock am ring square poster).
We’d like to set it that the height shows as 100% and the width auto adjusts.

However, I keep on failing miserably.
How can this be done correctly via css please ?

Hello!

Unfortunately, in our theme we do not have dark mode and light mode features.
You have to do it manually. Change the background color into white from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Theme colors -> General theme colors. And also the global colors which are used in the demo, you can find and change them if you edit the homepage for example with the TagDiv Composer, access Website Manager : https://prnt.sc/LJVqfzmJ72wi.

breadcrumb theme problem - topic

Everything was working fine and the breadcrumbs showed normal like on this link here:

I don’t know what changed but now, every new post I make has no title, and no breadcrumbs at the top. example here:

The ‘Post Template’ remains the same which is ‘from panel’. The Theme Panel settings seem to all be the same I don’t remember changing anything. I deactivated all my wordpress plugins and the issue is still happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
