Hi is it possible to set up in-feed ads with this theme, if so how?
For example, I have Block 1 module with 5 posts in it, I want to put an in-article feed ad instead of post 3 in that module.
Hi guys, hope you’re all well.
We’ve noticed some display issues after upgrading to v9.1 this morning:
1. some of our Flex Box 1 blocks decided to throw a module overlay in that wasn’t there before. Only in a few cases, but it was the same image placement on three different sites (same design):
https://www.screencast.com/t/AgR40gJumJW
Example URL: http://compareallvans.co.uk/
It was an easy fix to take it out, but I assume it’s not supposed to be there in the first place. We use that flex block a lot and the vast majority were unaffected, so not sure why it affected that lead image only.
2. On our featured background images, the cropping seems to have gone wrong somewhere. In 9.1 we can now crop vertical alignment by steps of 1%, which is fantastic, but cropping to 50% seems to cause a problem. If we crop to 49% or 51% it looks absolutely fine, with the image almost perfectly centred as you’d expect. But if you select 50%, it seems to suddenly crop to the top (ie – 0%). Some examples from three different sites, where the vehicle in the image is now falling out of the bottom of the frame:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/suzuki-jimny-test-drive/
https://thetruckexpert.co.uk/road-to-zero-could-mean-a-dead-end-for-truck-operators/
https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/aston-martin-dbs-superleggera-fastest-ever/
Obviously this only happens where the image size is larger than the space provided, but it affects a large number of our images as everything is vertically aligned to what used to be centre (now 50%).
I hope there is a relatively easy fix for this, because I don’t want to go back into every page (and post template) and align everything to 51% to get around it…
Other than that, still loving v9. We’ve made a few new tweaks based on the new features and demos added to 9.1, and are planning even more based on the incredible flexibility you guys have built into the theme.
Cheers,
stuart
For some reason I can’t get the AMP version of my posts to appear. I have the plugin activated and configured correctly, but I’m only getting the mobile responsive version with out AMP. Any ideas?
Hi,
AMP usually works with lists, but will detect the js in content and will cause some conflicts.
If you decide to try, please make a full backup to your website then you can go on.
tagDiv AMP Plugin Tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Here is a validator to check your AMP post/page : https://validator.ampproject.org/
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi, i have read the posts about td composer not working, and i’ve setting everything as described and as required in the system status but still the td composer it’s not loading at all, just a blank page https://www.motoexcape.com/wp-admin/post.php?post_id=624&td_action=tdc&tdbTemplateType=page&prev_url=%2F%2Fwww.motoexcape.com%2F
Is there something i could do? Thank you, Fabio
Hi,
Unfortunately I don’t think you can do that ( AMP is a plugin, not a theme to can make a child theme )
Unfortunately if at the next update this issue reappear you need to do this again.
We’ll continue investigation to see why appear this issues for some customers.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi,
Every post is showing double image when we open the post to read. I think one is coming from featured image and second one is actually inserted in the post itself. Please refer to the following link for example.
Please guide how to remove the duplicate image from the post. Which setting needs to be changed.
Thanks for your help.
I have a website that is based on lists it is almost 99% lists. I would like to know if is possible to use amp plug-in with lists. if not could this be codded into it by a developer? also, ADS are placed in the page by JS shortcodes.
Thanks in advance!
Hello greenvpro,
The message you get is quite common with WordPress. In most cases it can be easily fixed.
For example â https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-link-you-followed-has-expired/
In that case the max upload size was limited, increasing it solved the problem. Usually this is the main cause.
Check this guide carefully and make modifications if needed
â https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If everything is set properly there should be no problem. Contact your hosting provider if needed and ask them to make changes as the guide suggests.
You can also install the theme by FTP, that is not difficult to do and itâs very useful to know how to use FTP. If our guide is not detailed enough check some more online
â https://dappercodes.com/installing-wordpress-theme-via-ftp/
â https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/141-how-to-manually-install-or-update-a-wordpress-theme
â https://www.shoutmeloud.com/install-wordpress-theme.html
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Sorry please remove the above css if you paste it in custom css.
I’ve try your footer logo ( https://www.screencast.com/t/yWKx0EqEE ) on my website and it works ( https://www.screencast.com/t/zbccdV295bI ), unfortunately all I can do for you is to provide a css that need to be please in wp-content>plugins>td-amp>templates>style.php (example https://www.screencast.com/t/vIUHFAbD6uRH )
.td-footer-component-wrap .td-footer-logo amp-img,
.td-footer-component-wrap .td-footer-logo img{
max-width: 272px;
max-height: 90px;
}
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding.
It doesn’t work. Pls check my AMP site in above post. I did all thing you said.
I did 3 tests.
Test 1: I copied link the footer logo on your demo page, then pasted it on my footer logo. On the AMP page, it shows correctly.
Test 2: I downloaded your footer logo, then reuploaded to my site. On the AMP page, the footer logo is blurred (huge size).
Test 3: I copied link footer logo of the other site (using Newspaper theme), then pasted it on my footer logo in theme panel. On the AMP page, the footer logo is blurred. ?
All logo are the same size each other. Can you explain this for me?
Many thanks.
Hi,
Please check the Screen Options from that post ( https://www.screencast.com/t/JgTbS0Qte9D ), you can have some plugins that interfere with the theme; also if the âEntitiesâ is provide from some plugins ( example https://www.screencast.com/t/St9FoGK4rz ), those don’t make part of theme.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
Since updating to version 9.1 I have noticed a couple of bugs.
In the theme panel when trying to change the general theme colours or sub footer colours the colour picker is partly hidden as in this example:
https://www.screencast.com/t/W0hRwQRe
Also in the sub footer I have an email address which is not displaying the correct text colour anymore.
Example:
https://www.screencast.com/t/j7ulqKOEyNmT
I have tried applying the text colour again and clearing the cache but nothing seems to work.
Any thoughts on what might be causing these issues?
Regards
Kevin
Hello,
I hope you are well! Can you please help me get rid of this padding that is separating my main background from the menu?
You can find this example here – https://blog.flock.aero/ground-handling-request-essentials/
I would like it to look exactly like this – https://blog.flock.aero/library/
One section, no padding. Please let me know how I can do that.
Hi,
First make sure that your you set the correct size
https://www.screencast.com/t/9rflt7ZgBsI
save the cahnge you made
https://www.screencast.com/t/XqJcJVaMz0cx
See the results: https://www.screencast.com/t/Jhcy7LmAGu9R
If this don’t work, then please add the below css in Newspaper> Theme panel> Custom code> Custom css:
.td-footer-logo amp-img{
width: 272px;
height: 90px;
}
Thanks.

Hi,
Each theme version works with the composer version provided with it. The composer will try to update itself, but if this fails it will remain deactivated.
There will be a message mentioning if the plugins were deactivated and that you should update them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1EFP3tx1nE
In that case you have to update it manually (by update button) in the theme plugins panel, like this example for some plugins that were deactivated
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8jMMCjOg7y1W
@Jair Prandi In some cases login issues (I believe you get a 500 error) were solved by increasing the WP memory to a higher value. For most users a 256M value would be enough
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
@Sydney Archdiocese If you would create a new topic and mention the problems you are facing in detail, it would be very helpful. Also we will be able to help you in that case.
If shortcodes are displayed in pages, please check if the tagDiv composer plugin is active after the update.
Thanks

Hi,
@TerrenceLP If you wish to use local fonts you can upload them in the theme panel for example, like mentioned in the guide.
The Google fonts can then be disabled in the font settings

Thanks
Hi,
If this ( https://www.screencast.com/t/vesHQGfI ) is what you want, than copy the below css and paste it in Newspaper> Theme panel> Custom code > Custom css
@media (max-width: 1256px) {
.backstretch img{
width: 100%;
}
}
@media (max-width: 1140px) {
.backstretch img{
width: 100%;
height: 80%;
}
}
You can edit the code if you like, is just an example with what you need to do.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks.
Hi,
You can do that using a plugin ( example Co-Authors Plus),
Please read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/multiple-authors-co-authors-on-articles-author-links-and-author-boxes/
Thank you.
Pls help me fix the footer logo on AMP.

tag div amp plugin not working error through 404 page not fount
I just purchased NewsPaper and downloaded the zip. When installing on localhost I received a message that the link has expired. Multiple downloads give same result. The forum seems to show that this as a common recurring problem so I have already read and followed the previously recommended links to no avail.
Why is this a common problem and how is it fixed?
Thx,
