Hi

Ok I have deactivated a plugin that I had installed called WPBakery. Now I am left with just the Tagdiv Composer

I believe I am missing some extra shortcodes from my elements such as Call to Action, Hero Sections and a whole other bunch. Where can I find them? Thanks

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your reply. So basically there is no way to make those two pages look the same?

As you said you wouldn’t recommend using WP Bakery, so is there an alternative with tagDiv to create elements like Accordions, Tabs, Maps etc?

Thanks for your reply.

Regards,
Rhys

Hello !

Unfortunately yes, even tough WP bakery is a tested plugin I personally wouldn’t recommend using it. Since tagDiv Composer was created as our own page builder the developers are working on developing this plugin.

1. In the tagDiv Composer you can add ROWs. Each row has a layout setting which can be edited: https://www.screencast.com/t/0aq1TR5sPSFf And there is no limit in the amount of rows you add. Each row can have a different layout and different sizes.

2. In order for the Newspaper theme to work flawlessly we recommend meeting all of our themes system requirements which can be found here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/. Also we do offer a tutorial for increasing the page speed and many users have reported big improvements: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ ; Also if the users choose to use plugins that get in conflict with the tagDiv Composer that is something that we can do nothing about it. Plugin conflicts can happen on many other plugin / theme setups.

3. You can stretch the row’s content to the width you want but if you are using a background color or image that will reduce your page width to a boxed layout.

As a personal note I would recommend to always make a backup before every modification and also using a test server where you will be able to test every modification / plugin you want. That will give you the ability to test all the features you want without compromising the main website.

I hope you will find this helpful and we are sorry for the inconveniences !

Thank you !

Hi,

I’m in the process of moving my website. I wanted to change to this theme so I have installed it and am having a few issues with WP Bakery. I have read all the forums and guides and I understand that the two editors do conflict.

I have built my site using WP Bakery with another theme so I though when installing this it would display the same. I’m having a few issues getting it to look the same and I need to use WP Bakery because I need the ability to add Accordians, Tabs, Maps, Videos etc, which aren’t in tagDiv.

See the two links below for the difference between my current site and the new site I’m builidng using this theme:
Old website (other theme): https://www.socialfishing.com.au/complete-guide-golden-perch-in-dams/
New website (Newspaper Theme): https://member.socialfishing.com.au/complete-guide-golden-perch-in-dams/

It looks similar but a few of the elements are working correctly. A few issues I need help with:

1. Do I have to only use the 3 column styles mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ and what happens if other columns are used?

2. On long pages I cannot edit for long without the page giving me the error ‘Connection Lost’. I’ve read into a few of the forums and this is said to be due to a plugin conflict. I used this plugin and all the others installed fine and once installing the new theme I get this error. I uninstalled the tagDiv Composer plugin and this error stopped. It also takes an extremely long time to load.

3. Is there a way to make the background elements full width. Like on the original site? WP Bakery says its full width but it doesn’t show.

Is there anyway I can get those pages working fine with your theme using WP Bakery. I want to stay with your theme for the ability to use tagDiv on the header, menu and footer. I would like to stay but I need to be able to fix the issues I’m having.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Rhys

Hello !

Please note that we do not recommend using 2 page builders on the same page. Also by working with WP bakery on cloud templates may cause issues and conflicts.

Please provide a link to your website in order to inspect.

Also if you are facing any issues we are here to help so let us know !

Thank you !

Hey guys,

On your advice I made a menu with the TAGDIV composer and it worked fine. But Now looking at my page it has completely ruined my main page. I made it with the WPbakery visual composer and now I have to add so many other things.

Hello !

Our templates are fully customizable with TagDiv Composer. We do not recommend using WP Bakery on our templates because they could produce conflicts.

In order to remove that you will have to edit it using the tagdiv composer and delete every element from it. Right click on the ROW tab and delete it: https://www.screencast.com/t/oR332f60uT5

Thank you !

Hi,

I would like to make some modifications to the homepage in the default template, e.g. add a different block, move some elements elsewhere, add some elements from another template, etc.

Is it possible? Because e.g. i can’t delete some rows? Is the only solution CSS / tagDiv Composer or can I using e.g. WPBakery Page Builder.

I am asking for advice how to customize a template quickly and easily?

Best regards,

Mario

Thanks for the advice. It turned out that the problem is in the plugin WPBakery Page Builder.

Hello,

The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Also in Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello! I use the demo (News Magazine – demo ID: magazine | install type: full) but I would like my logo (PNG image) in red on the screenshot to take up all the space and occupy the part delimited in blue.
Thank you very much for your help (I do not know the builder TagDiv: I only master DIVI, Elementor, WPBakery and SiteOrigin).

Ok, thank you. I think I am going to use WP Bakery as it is more intuitive for me. I will keep tagDic Composer active at the same time.
Thank you

Hello !

You can use WP Bakery but we do recomend using the tagDiv Composer. Also please note that tagDiv Composer MUST be active in order to benefit from Newspaper Themes fully functionality.

If you want to use the tagdiv composer you can find many tutorials and how to in our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/

I hope this is helpfull !

Thank you !

Hello,

Usually these kind of problem appear when you are using WP Bakery or other plugins, please deactivate all non theme plugins and let only these that have the word tagDiv in there names, after that try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

Usually this is a cache problem, when the mobile version is apply to desktop, please make sure that you clear all cache and try again.

Hello @vlad , @exxxtra01 and @smehr we do not have WP Bakery so this was not the issue. It worked because we changed our browser. We use Chrome but it does not work with chrome, so we used Internet Explorer and Mozilla and it worked. Does anyone have a solution so we can still use Chrome and tagdiv?

Hello !

Please disable WP-Bakery. Unfortunately this is a conflict between WP Bakery and tagDiv Composer.

We recommend using only one Page Builder on your website.

We are sorry for the inconvenience !

Thanks Vlad.

It was WPBakery Page Builder that was causing the issue.

I’ve Network Deactivated it and the sidebar has now come back.

Thanks,
Paul

Ok I will try to explain again.

On Post’s the URL and captions are not working on images. We are using WPBakery. There is no TagDiv Composer code on the post.

Hello !

Indeed, wp bakery can be used on posts too. But you cannot use WP bakery on top of tagDiv Composer.

Thank you !

Hello !

WP Bakery and tagDiv Composer are both pagebuilders. You cannot use both of them on the same page. We suggest sticking only to one of them.

Unfortunately you cannot use the WP Bakery inside the tagDiv Composer.

We are sorry for the inconvenience !

Thank you !

We are also having an issue with URL’s and captions behind images in posts created with WP Bakery Visual composer (I’m using the plugin provided by Newspaper)
