- NewspaperHow to update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin
- NewspapertagDiv Composer Tutorial
- NewspaperWhat’s Included in the Newspaper Theme Package
We don’t use tagDiv Composer in anyone of websites, no one.
The requirements are more than sufficient.
I can’t detect any conflict or PHP error/warning.
Everything was working fine till now.
As I write in my first post: “I tried in almost 5 different websites with same result”, “When I debug the WPBakery Page Builder AJAX request the answer always is 0.” and the box/popup is blank, just with title and close button, but without any option to configure the WPBakery Page Builder or Newspaper element.
What happens? It’s a bug from the latest WPBakery Page Builder? It’s an incompatibility between that version and your 9.6.1 theme version?
Kind regards.
Hi,
Please use the WPBakery Page Builder only on pages that are created with it, do not use the WPBakery Page Builder on pages build with tagDiv Composer, this will cause issues.
Please make sure that all the settings are as in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there is still a problem, please provide some more details and some screenshots.
Thank you!
Hi,
The reason for doing it was because users who wanted to use for example single images in WPBakery, couldn’t because the tagDiv composer affected the single images functionality.
So now when WPBakery is active and users wish to use it, some elements will not be part of the composer, to prevent conflicts. If a different solution is found, this may change however.
If you want you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take make it to work like before the update. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
Hi,
The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Also for the 3 blocks, you’ll need to have set same feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.
Let me know if you have more questions!
Hi,
There was some changes for tagDiv Composer and WPBakery.

So now when WPBakery is active and users wish to use it, some elements will not be part of the composer, to prevent conflicts. If a different solution is found, this may change however.
You need to deactivate the WPBakery plugin, and all the elements will be show again.
Unfortunately, for the moment you cannot add images in header title, sorry!
Thank you!

Hi,
Unfortunately in Newspaper v9.7.3 there is a problem between WPBakery, tagDiv Composer, child theme and tagDiv Cloud Library, we’ll try to fix it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
When I try to open any one just see a blank box. I tried in almost 5 different websites with same result.
When I debug the WPBakery Page Builder AJAX request the answer always is 0. I’m using the latest WPBakery Page Builder update.
Kind regards.

So after disabling plugins, I found it was a plugin BJ lazy load stopping my images loading although my featured image still doesn’t load.
Apparently, I was using WP Bakery as if I disabled TagDiv composer and kept WP Bakery, my posts loaded fine but without Tag Div fanciness. If I disable Bakery and keep Tag Div Composer, my posts are still messed up.
With tag div composer enabled I get the giant social media icons and a bunch of code at the bottom of each post. https://www.screencast.com/t/HMsv5e07eP
One of the reasons I purchased the newspaper pack was because of the child themes it comes with and how it looks. I especially like the gadget theme so before I downgrade which is really the last resort is there any way to fix all these issues? keep tag div composer and WP bakery for my individual articles which you can’t edit with tag div composer.
For now, I’ve had to completely deactivate tag div composer as with it my posts are too messed up which could affect my rankings. Now surely that can’t be right.
The pages have been built in WP Bakery Page Builder. I turned off all the plugins without any change.

The tagDiv Composer need to be activate in order to have the Newspaper theme functionally.
Thank you!
ok, I’m going to start rebuilding my web only with Composer and forget about WPBakery. Last question I use a lot of horizontal lines to separate blocks. With Composer I have the option to include horizontal lines and change them thickness and color
Thank you
Hello !
Unfortunately this is a known issue caused by WP-Bakery, Our developers are working on fixing it. As a quick fix you can disable the smart-sidebar located in Theme Panel – Template Settings – Smart sidebar like here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/scroll-up-issues-on-articles/
We are sorry fot the inconvenience !
Thank you !
I don’t use WPBakery, it’s not active. My home page and the general pages ain’t the problem. They appear fine. It’s the posts that are messed up with no images and giant social media icons.
So I’ve got to delete the theme, reinstall an older version and start again from scratch because of an update? Is there no way to simply rollback to the previous update?
All is working, here is my progress:
– updating staging site, (featured) images disappeared. I edited my main page (tagdiv composer and wp bakery together), then updated the page. Staging site was working.
– today, I updated my main site, performed all the required updates, but the (featured) images did work.
All end’s well 😉
ok I understand. I’ll wait, do you think it will take a long time to solve this problem?
And ask if you had to stay with a builder, what would you advise me, Composer or WPBakery?
If I stay with Composer, can I have the same functions as WPBakery?
Thank you
Also I use NINJA Forms… they worked perfectly with WP Bakery. Now I don’t know how to get them to show up. You don’t have a “Ninja Form” Or even a “Contact Form 7” in your Elements to add.
I’ve rolled back to 9.7.2 until I hear back regarding possible fixes.
Other info: not a child-theme user, not a wp bakery user.
I think i may have fixed by deactivating WP Bakery, but now the website has a bunch of short code and it looks messed up
I keep trying to add a new “single image” in “inline single image”. I remove the old photo and upload my photo. I keep getting “Error: Invalid data”
Why won’t this work? I really am not like this Tag Div Composer. Why can’t we just keep WP Bakery/VC?
