Hi
I am showing a Flex Block 3 at the homepage and filtered a particular category. All good. However, I ve just published a new article of this category and this one is not displaying in the Flex Block 3. Any idea why?
Hello,
So, certain settings may apply to each viewport (e.g., where the border is blue), while others do not (e.g., where the border is black).
1. You can not set another limit of the posts, one for desktop and one for mobile, only if you have a mobile template.
2. I recommend first doing the changes for the desktop and then for another viewport.If you want some blocks for mobile then I recommend to create a mobile page/template.
Also, check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/
Thank you!
Hello @thanhtan09!
Go to the Cloud Templates -> Modules: https://app.screencast.com/SYbTBMFjmo9Dw and add the module template – World Matters Standard: https://app.screencast.com/77u9XbVvmlf3T
Edit the homepage with the tagdiv Composer, click on that block message and choose the module from here: https://app.screencast.com/LuuBf7MzIuU6o in order to display the block design with your own content.
Thank you!
Hi mnunezve, for this you’ll need to use tagDiv Composer to edit the homepage – https://i.imgur.com/TyGlqLN.png then select the blocks and search for background in search field, after that check in Style tab – https://i.imgur.com/0lY4avc.png the color should be on meta info background – https://i.imgur.com/GezMKak.png and it is also possible to be on category background.
I hope this will help you!
Hello,
Our theme option for ads is only to display them, there is noting else special. If you need to have full control over ads you should use a dedicate plugin like ad inserter – https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/
Using the theme option for ads you can set banners or other type of ads in different places, like header, footer, articles … – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-ads/ – https://i.imgur.com/e2AklaL.png but if you want to can set different ads per categories, or pages, then you’ll need to use a dedicate plugin like the one mentioned above.
Use a block code for ads as mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-sidebar-ads/ this should help you to resolve the problem.
Thank you!
Hi muktipolice, the post title color from articles inside modules / blocks can be changed using the theme panel options – https://i.imgur.com/4kVfju0.png now in case that the block/module you are using doesn’t exist in the theme panel you’ll need a custom css like this one:
h1>a, h2>a, h3>a, h4>a, h5>a, h6>a {
color: #ffffff;
}
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure that you have a posts loop block in the search template.
Thank you!
To clarify, I do see some changes between desktop and mobile reflecting correctly, but at least these changes made on mobile also reflect for desktop, etc. and I only want the changes to apply to mobile:
1) Post count – via tagDiv Composer > (Any flex block) > General > Extra > Limit post number
2) While in mobile view, I created a new Title block. That Title block and its formatting also appeared in desktop. I only wanted the Title block placed/viewable in mobile view.
Hi team,
I purchased newspaper theme. I tried to load World Matters template (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_world_matters_pro/). But it show Block is no longer support. Please help me how to create a section like below picture.
Thanks.
Hello,
Why do I see those blocks with a green background? The theme has just been imported and I haven’t modified the colors, only the menu. Where are the options to revert it to the original theme?
Thanks!
Hello,
In case that you are referring to those modules – https://i.imgur.com/fG7IDju.png then you can use this custom css:
.td_block_3 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
border-bottom: 1px solid #808080;
}
I hope this will help you!
Hello,
You can try to use the offset option on the blocks, and set an offset there of how many posts you want -> forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
Thank you!
Hi,
You can create a mobile template and use another block for mobile or hide the block for mobile.
Thank you!
If for example you click on the featured news item (top left corner, largest image on home page) — the Flex Block 1 — go to Style, and then attempt to change Block Fonts > Block header and try to change “Default font” to “Global font #1”, the system attempts to ‘draw’ a tooltip/modal, but fails and redirects to an ‘Aw, Snap’ white screen — Error code: STATUS_BREAKPOINT.
Man I’m rusty on targeting this stuff.
Basically, with a home page layout with
block 3 and 4, I think it’s .td_module_2 .entry-thumb
trying to add {border-bottom:1px solid #333333;}
basically – since original images have borders, the slightly cropped thumbs for modules chop off bottom border so looks funky. Adding a css bottom border seems like best fix.

No rush. Forgotten how to target some of the td_whatever stuff.
Hi,
Please don’t use blocks 1 to 25, big grid,or standard templates for header, footer, etc. Use cloud templates and flex blocks and big grids flex, as the demo was made.
The issue with the homepage was resolved after I disable the mobile theme plugin as I said to you to do.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. if you add logo image make sure that is set to show and delete the logo text->
2. If you created a mobile template, then you can delete the block with right-click, but if you use the responsive version, then please hide one element on the mobile and unhide it on desktop, for example -> https://imgur.com/GKIKvgt. Every element in the TagDiv Composer has a setting to make it invisible. This setting can be seen in the CSS tab of every element: [Display: HIDDEN]. You can also hide the entire row.
To see the hidden elements in Composer, you can enable this option from Manager -> Settings -> https://i.imgur.com/OkfpxSL.png
Thank you!
I second this preload feature for flex blocks! This would make pages load so much faster! Thank you and I look forward to seeing this feature soon. -A
Hello!
Yes, you are right. Unfortunately, you can’t assign them globally. You should set the font to each element. There is only a possibility to do that, if you will install a demo with global fonts already done and already assigned to each element. The guide is here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
You have the settings to change font size or weights on each element. They could be custom, with different values and not the same.
You can copy-paste for example a flex block in the tagdiv Composer. Right-click on the element -> copy and paste after another element by clicking on other element, right-click -> paste. Also, you can change some settings for style to one flex block (copy-style) and apply on other blocks(paste-style).
We recommend you to have the fonts locally stored. Check this thread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-do-i-disable-the-mobile-share-button-and-font-optimization/
That option will load alternative fonts for different devices. So, you will have a little bit more control about what font will display there.
Thank you!
Looking for further guidance on the Newspaper theme font configuration, as the provided guides aren’t comprehensive. There seem to be settings everywhere, fighting for priority.
I want to set 2-3 default fonts of my choice for the entire site, but it isn’t straightforward.
Setting ‘page title’ font under theme panel -> theme fonts -> pages doesn’t actually change anything. Am I right in thinking these settings are only for the standard pack and not applicable to custom cloud templates?
If the above is true, I think I need to use Website Manager to create global fonts. I see the option to add fonts, but how can I assign them globally? i.e. how can I define a font for page titles across the site?
There’s also no option to choose font size or weights under Website Manager. Therefore, if I have multiple templates and blocks and want, for example, body text to be the same size, do I need to go and edit them all individually?
Lastly, are they any recommendations for optimisation? What implications does enabling/disabling Google Fonts have? Same for disabling the theme’s default fonts. Website Manager also has an option for iOS and Android when specifying global fonts, is this an override for mobile devices?
Thanks for the help, I’m sure some answers to the above will be helpful to both myself and the wider Newspaper user base.
It still doesn’t work. At this point, it seems to me that the ideal solution is to use the category page and maybe modify it to make it similar to my container page. Unfortunately, any future modifications to the category pages will need to be done through code, and this will take time.
I have been exploring this possible solution for a while, as I was asking above: In the categories page, there is this white element (see photos), how can I change its color? I would like to make it gray like the rest of the block.
