I bought the Newspaper theme for a friend and in the demos, it has a sidebar on the home page yet no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get one for my site, http://timetravelnexus.com/.
On the edit page page I see this message: “While using Visual Composer sidebar settings are not available. To add a sidebar on page use the widgetised sidebar block.”
Yet, when I use that it just puts my sidebar at the bottom of my page. The rest of the pages on my site have the sidebar to the right. When we tried to put it to the right by splitting the columns, it seriously messed up and distorted the page. How can I get it to show up on my home page?

Hi, I need to create posts without using the templates that automatically insert content in the content area. I do want the header and footer, but no other content blocks. I want to create the post with visual composer and have full control of the content area. How do I do this? or what are basic steps to create my own custom template, if that’s possible? Thanks.

I want to move the blue logo on the left close the the ‘About Us’ text and remove also remove the ‘About Us’ title block – where can I hide the files I need to change through FTP or could you provide some custom CSS please?

Hi there, when one sets the row to 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 and adds a “Block 9” to each of the elements, it shows up stacked on top of each other instead of side to side across the page.
Please advise.

Not sure what happend but my site @ socialhomenews.com is acting funny. I noticed that there is now [vc_row][vc_column] and other code appearing. Now the module blocks aren’t aligning and the sidebar has disappeared? Before I started using Newspaper I had Avada installed which uses something called Fusion Builder and I’m not sure if there is a conflict between Visual Composer and that but something is not right.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. thanks.
1) If you look at what I wrote earlier in this post.. ” Think we have six licences for the moment.”<—- So that’s six different websites.. so.. what you saw is another site actually. It’s not related to https.. have same problem on http and https sites.

You basically told me to go f. myself but not in those words (I could stop using the theme..) If that’s not an unprofessional answer I don’t know what is. I wrote “You have great theme and usually excellent support. But your final answer was really unprofessional and disappointing. ” now you are twisting it into something else.. and we are both wasting our time so no need to continue this thread unless you put me in contact with your support manager.. we are both wasting our time.

I am trying to change the available translations on theme panel as show in the videos.
The problem is that while my language has an available translate and is supported (not google translate) when I click to select it nothing happens. The translations tab does not drop down like in video or anything.
I tried both on google chrome and firefox, disabled my adblock. Still nothing
I have the latest release of the theme and no other problems whatsoever

The theme block titles can be changed from block setings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ but the overall style of the titles is provided by the theme demo you chose. There is no setting to select a different style for the headers.

Unfortunately our theme blocks will only work with visual composer. We have not tested any other page builder. There is a slim chance the blocks will work with another builder. We have not tested the beaver builder so we cannot say for sure if it will even run with our theme. you will have to give it a try if you already own a copy but you will do so at your own risk. Make a back-up beforehand.

That feature is theme specific and only available on the newsman theme. There is no such styling on newspaper. You can customize each block from the design option tab in visual composer though.

I have tested on my site and the block seems to work as properly if I filtered it by more than one category. Please try to disable all the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all your caches and check again the results.

I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with your infinite loading to your Block 19. It seems to work as properly. If the problem reappears and if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of this and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

There is no theme setting to exclude certain articles from the latest articles loop but you can easily replicate the entire related articles section with a simple block element and choosing another page template that does not have the related articles section. Here is an example:

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of required plugins (Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1). Clear all the caches and check again. Please keep in mind that the theme should display all the categories in the Category filter and if you select one of them the posts from that category should be displayed in the block. I am a new newspaper theme user and am very curious to become possibilities. I went to work and soon found out that you mega menu, a plugin that I blocked a lot of use (if menu)! can you guys look at to still get back to work that plugin or make into your theme.

Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean, sorry! Please notice that our demo uses the Big Grid Slide VC element to the homepage at the top of the page while you are using the Big Grid 2 which cannot allow you to slide your posts. You should replace the block with the Big Grid Slider and check the results. If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Maybe a bad install? Maybe you have some kind of CDN minification running breaking theme panel?
You should be able to
a) go to wordpress > settings > uncheck allow people to comment; built in option in WordPress
b) on the theme panel > post settings, toggle “off” items you don’t want to see on POSTS
c) on theme panel > block settings > meta … toggle “off” items you don’t want to see on blocks/modules.
If none of that works, then something wrong with your setup, perhaps a plugin is breaking theme functions?
Maybe do a screen capture of WHAT you are trying to remove ?

It’s found on the Themeforest website and in the download ‘all files’ for the Newsmag theme.
You will get automated email from TF when the theme is actually updated. Don’t go by the “last updated” box on right side of TF page as that is just when the info was updated, not necessarily the actual theme.
