i have my blog settings > media set as:
before installed Newspaper Theme, when i insert a photo in post editor and choose mid/large thumb, everything works ok.
but after i started using Newspaper Theme, the image size selector in post editor became:
which is the default settings of wordpress, and the source code shows:
[*/uploads/2016/11/image00###-1024x###.jpg” width=”640″/]
which means wordpress resized my photo to large[1024], but added the default large width[640] to the photo.
if i disable the Newspaper Theme, the post editor worked well again.
how i can solve this problem?

I just purchased this awesome theme!
I’d like to adjust the colors based on categories.
Example: In the homepage, i am fine with creating blocks where based on the category, i assign the color for that category. However, i’d like to assign the same category color when clicking menu (which leads to a category).
1. The Menu color is Orange in the home page.
2. Category 1 is “VIDEOS”, and i’d like everything under my VIDEOS link category to show as “RED”.
3. Category 2 is “AUDIO”, and i’d like to have eveything assinged to this category as “BLUE”
It would be great to know if after the menu is clicked, the menu color is highlighted as that assigned color.

I’ve just upgraded from 7.4 to 7.5. Several aspects of the site are not working properly mainly on our homepage.
First, we use a News ticker and a Big Grid Slide at the top of our homepage. Following the upgrade, without changing anything, the slider has stopped rendering on the homepage.
Here is our Visual Composer Layout:

I checked the source code of the page and the element is simply not there.
I thought I’d check and see if TagDiv Composer might be of use. When I attempted to use it, I got the following error:

Finally, we use Block 1 at the bottom of a two-column row. In Newspaper 7.4, the block formatted itself into two columns with the big story on the left and four smaller ones on the right. Now, it spans both columns.
Any help with these issues is appreciated with the Big Grid Slide being the most urgent.

in the newsmag theme i can change the backgroundstyle for the blocks (colour present, style 1, 2 , 3…) in the widget top down menue. Where can i change the backgroundstyle in the newspaper theme? I like this option, but can’t find this in the newspaper theme.

Im using the Newspaper theme on more websites.
Now Ive installed the theme yesterday on my new website and I’m not able to save my (Visual Composer) blocks on my pages and posts.
The first 5 or 10 minutes everything is working. After this time Im pressing the ‘save’ button of my text blocks, image blocks or other blocks and nothing happens.
Its very frustrating because I cant work on my website with this.
Is this a bug or is it my mistake? I already deactived and reinstalled the plugin.

I have small issue with the category filter on block 1. When I try to filter categories with ID, (add more categories) it only pulls the first one. Am I missing something?
– Yes, I did clean browser cache and cookies from this url
– Yes, I left “show all categories” drop down option on default
– I have no installed plugins except two of yours (social counter and visual composer)

I just installed the theme, I set up the home page by studying the code generated
by the demo install on a localhost, I prefer working with the shortcodes rather than Visual
composer.
I got a couple of questions:
1.I used the tag [td_block_slide] to generate the slide on the home page, how do i make
the slide to auto-slide and to display pictures from let’s say 6 latest posts.
2.What is the visual composer short codes for Latest Posts widget, Categories widget,and Text widget.
3.How do I make the default side bar appear on the home page.
4.How do I populate the Editor Picks widgets in the footer with selected posts.

My category id is 29, however as I mentioned, it’s picking up every article that is posted.
I just noticed that in categories, the “NEWS” does not have a checkbox. That may be the issue?
For example, I just posted an article in “WORLD” and it’s showing up in NEWS.
Are there any other settings I should be looking at?

Sorry but our theme blocks ignore sticky posts. They will simply not work as they will break the block layout.

You should add the Block 24 layout from your Visual Composer. Please notice that each demo has own style if you want to have, for example, on the Say What demo the style from Car Blog demo, notice that you should do it manually. Also, you can use the inspector browser, check the style from your desired demo and then you should implement it yourself. If you want to make some additional customization to our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because wee cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Unfortunately, we do not recommend changing the size of our blocks because your can break the layout of theme, sorry! Notice that the height of our slider is standard and it is adjusted and calibrated to work as properly with the theme. If you want to change this you should make some adjustments in the theme which involve custom work and we can not provide this type of services at the moment, sorry!

I want to pin one previous article on that blog, as you can see the homepage I have used only one block and I dont want to use more, so help me in this so that I can pin anyone article at first.
As previously I have used ‘Your Latest Posts’ (Settings -> Reading) but on that I have seen the front page looks weird and all posts are coming on big list posts, and on that I can pined any article from Article creating, as you can see while creating any post click on Visibility you can see “Stick this post to the front page” so when I check on that the pined is working fine,
Please guide me which one should I go with, I just want the same UI but the feature like check box so that it will make me easy to pin any post while creation only on WP.

You should n ot use big grid element to show one post. Here are a couple of potential blocks that will show 1 post in an elegant manner:

As you can see there are plenty of blocks to choose from. Big grids do not work well with fewer posts as it;s a static grid.

As for the headers, it depends where the header gets it’s style. In this case it’s a buddypress style that affects the header color.
You can use this css code to target ALL block titles at once and have them the color that you want:
.td-main-sidebar .block-title > span{
background-color:black!important;
}

I disabled all plugins except visual composer, then i installed “WP Super Cache” and “cleared all cache” and reset cdn files if you use it. Then i tested the editor role, it worked.. But when i activated plugin from admin. the issue is still same as i mentioned”I created a New User as an EDITOR, but i am not able to edit any post & not even can create a page or add new post. when i am clicking on to edit post or add new post it just shoe blank white page. i tried different browse as well.
But everything working fine in admin before doing anything and now. Please suggest

Hello,Our theme does not change the default user roles and capabilities of wordpress: https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities If your user roles are not working properly, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test the user role again.

In order to remove more from author you can use 2 methods:

For your second request, if you want to change the background-color for the Related Articles tab you should use the cocde below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

Hello Chris S. First of all I want to thank you for your attention. I had read about TD composer, but I did not quite understand its purpose of being a SHIM strand. Maybe I did not understand because of my poor English LOL !!!
I followed your guidelines, but from the beginning I received the following error:
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init () -> bindViewsModelsWrappers ()!
I tried to disable all plugins to work with only it, and still the error appears in the superrior part of the block editing screen.
Could you tell me what might be going on?
