@Bogdan – I have the same problem since I just installed Newspaper 6.6.5 and VC 4.9.2 on my test domain.
The display looks OK, but VC backend doesn’t work.
I deactivated all other plugins and I have the System Parameters set. (see below)
The VC Block that shows up on existing designed pages looks like a rounded button, with no edit or properties.
(I hovered over one so you can see it in this screenshot)

Sending three links with images of what is happening to me …

Sorry. Guess my point was the counter *is* working on thousands of sites “right now” without issue.

So, this typically means something on YOUR site(s) has a conflict with the simple “hit counter” which is just a dumb counter that increments +1 each time page is loaded/viewed.

Some plugins might conflict with this “function” — some caching setups won’t count the increment, hence the ajax method, and “hits” may go down if fewer “bots” are pinging the page (which hare false “reads”). “Hits” can also go down if you get less spammer attempts by live spam farms and spam bots.

On one site we were getting 4,000 views first day for some posts; when we blocked the Ukraine spam farms, it went down to 850 views.

Just some feedback, not trying to play down the issue you’re having 🙂

There is no http hardcoded link into the database. Our Apache virtualhost is configured to force https.
WP_HOME and WP_URL are defined with https.
The only problem comes from the theme functions and plugins which in that case generate image html code with http protocol.

as you can see, a href are https but img src are http.

Hi

Usually this happens when you try to load the fonts from external sources. Check in browser console if there are any errors related by Cross-Origin Resource. If there are any errors like this try this solution: http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/71630/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide an url where I can inspect this closer.

I use Prime Time WordPress template until last week (Link : http://prime.themerex.net/ ). In that template it offer us to link the ‘category pages’ in every blocks. (Link : http://prnt.sc/a3l9kz ).

Is their any chance to link category pages link like my previous template in newspaper template ?.

Yes I tried that or similar, it works but the original block-title css has a bold underline that runs the entire div span. How do I cut it off to the point at which the two colours divide, again like in example.

In cea ce priveste imaginile eu pot sa iti dau un css simplu care le schimba modul de afisare in pagina insa acesta va afecta toate imaginile care le vei aduga ulterior in orice post. Codual ar genera avest rezultat: http://screencast.com/t/EGGEuxLKL

Dupa cum spuneam toate imaginile inserate in continutul postului vor fi afectate de acest cod si nu pot anticipa cum vor fi afectate pe diferite post template-uri sau pe diferite dispozitive mobile.
Cea mai sigura metoda e cea prezentata in respunsul anterior, desii e un pic mai sofisticata.
Faci un container specific pentru imaginile care vrei sa le afisezi una langa alta, iar apoi foilosesti clasa in css pentru a aplica stilul dorit. In acest fel vei targeta doar imaginile din interiorul acelui container, fara riscul de a afecta alte imagini in mod inutil.
Majoritatea elementelor din continutul postului au disply block, exceptant situatille cand au float. Aceasta implementare se poate schimba relativ usor doar ca trebuie sa fi atent la ce selctori folosesti. Cu cat selectorul e mai precis cu atat riscurile sunt mai mici. De examplu daca vrei sa schimbi disply-ul paragrafelor poti face astfel:

display: inline block;
}

Aceastra nu e cea mai buna abordare fiinca vei prinde o gama foarte mare the paragrafe care sar putea sa nu fie afisate bine folosind acest disply. In schimb poti face astfel:

.post-id-123 .td-post-content p{
display: inline-block;
}

Acest css targeteaza dor p-ul din continutul postului cu id-ul 123. Acesta e doar un exemplu de baza, dar poate fii folosit pentru a face css-ul cat mai specific.
Un alt aspect de care trebuie sa tii cont e complexitatea temei. Css-ul e imens si multe reguli se pot rescrie in functie de situatie. Trebuie sa fii atent ce selctori folosesti, daca sunt suficienti de puternici astfel incat sa rescrie codul initial si mai ales daca acei selctori nu afecteaza si elemnte nedorite.

Am folosit ce ati spus dvs si am editat direct in css, fara sa pun la urma, caci nu prea mergea treaba, linii precum 6629, 4702 5px, 5076 pus 5px si display: inline-block; iar in editor css am editat direct linia 1457 adaugat display: inline-block;. Continue e mutat stanga folosind codul dvs. Nu am ajuns la data si views-urile, dar o sa urmez sfatul dvs. O sa caut si pixelii body si p pentru txt in editor css,sper sa ii gasesc.

Mai totul e display block sa fi fost inline de la inceput si niste px mai putini pentru img si p, si tema merge si pentru cei cu poze mai mici…

Rezolvat. (Daca am gresit ceva, puteti sa ma corectati). Multumesc.

Yes, i have articles in category and follow istruction for set them, i put cat id in field but don’t show nothing, if i leave blank Work fine with all categories.
But i need to show one cat for block.

Using the theme for over 2 years and social links have gone UP for us, not down.

I highly doubt the “theme” impacts people on Facebook clicking a link to your website. How would they see your site prior to visiting it — that doesn’t make sense, unless I’m missing your point.

It’s not rocket science.

For all marketing efforts, why not simply go back to another theme and see how your page views are doing?

Also, note that the best way to measure site views is actually at the server level “above” the web pages, as this precludes issues with caching and javacript disabled, adblockers, etc.

I like to link the category pages in the block section like this attached link (http://prnt.sc/a3l9kz).

Their are some options to show more posts such as ‘load more button’, Next Prev ajax & infinite load. But i like to link the category pages somewhere in the each ‘block’ area.
