Nice site! Do you know how to reduce the white space around the items in Block 9? It’s the block that lets you just put headlines of posts, no photos. Also, there’s a faint dotted line that I want to turn into a solid gray line. Any ideas?
The great thing about V6 you don’t need any CSS to take out white space it can all be done with the VC,each block you can fix all of that with out using any css…

Could someone give me some custom CSS I can add to the Theme Panel that will make smaller margins between posts in Block 8 and Block 11?
Also, I’d like less white space between the title and excerpt in Block 2.

I couldn’t make it work at first. I had put your code at the end of my Customm CSS. The white border in the link block was still there. Then I tried putting the same code at the beginning of my Custom CSS – and now it works.

I’d like to use Block 15 with 6 items in it: 4 photos from my Media library with headlines and links to an external site (curated content), and 2 photos with headlines linking to original posts on my site. Is it possible to specify this in Block 15, in a way that I can have it automatically populate the block with these different types of content? And if so, how should I create the direct links with photos in WordPress so that they feed into Block 15? Would I need to make them posts? (I’d like to avoid having a post that is simply a photo, headline and link to an external site.)

Unfortunately the social icons block is not available in version 6 of the theme(social icons can be activated only for top-bar and footer) and it is not an easy task to implement this block so I suggest to hire someone to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!

Another suggestion for the pagination features.
Example here with a very big post subdivided in 6 pages with the page break feature:

But it is not very clear for readers that there are other pages after the first (it is just numbers) ! 🙁
1/ I think i will be interesting to put the line on the right.
2/ Put a block title saying for example: Go to the next pages: (and with the possible to change the sentence in admin).
3/ Like you recently did with Smart list, create a new simple but effective feature.
My ideas:
There will be a fourth part after Reviews named Page.
When you go on this part, you could activate this and choose the Title tags, for example H2.
And now the system could do simple things like looking for H2 after each Break page code and used for title.
This title could be use to do a summary at the begining of each begining page.
I create sort of a example using your blockquote code:

Of course at the end of the article under the 1 / 2 / 3… itcould have a select with the names of each elements of the summary. “Go to…”

Three months ago, I asked about how to completely remove Google, Facebook elements in the theme (google-fonts etc.), because I’m using it for Chinese visitors. If there’s anything in the theme that links to these “prohibited” source, Chinese visitors will not be able to open my webpages.

Hi,
on http://www.swedentips.se/ I use an AdSense link block 728×15 in the footer. For this ad I have chosen the same colour as for the footer. Nevertheless, the ad shows a white border 1px (Chrome) or 2px (IE 11) on the top of the link block. I don’t think this is an AdSense issue – I have other sites where this works alright without top border.
How can I get rid of this white top border and make the ad fit in nicely?

I want to use it on a block (the text with title block). I’m not using module 15 & latest articles (also, I just had a look but I don’t even have module 15 displaying as an option when I adjust the page attributes. The closest I’ve got to your screen shot is “Homepage – with article list”, but then there is no module 15).
Anyway if I’ve understood this right there’s no way to get it to work on the text with title block?

on http://www.sverigetips.se/ I use footer template #12. However, I am not sure how I can put my content there. Ideally, I would like to use one of your content blocks. For that purpose I have copied over the code from a page drafted with Visual Composer that contains a content block. However, I couldn’t make it work in the footer. Perhaps the CSS for the footer overrides the CSS for the block. Just now I use shortcodes for a solution with six columns but the result looks boring. I would rather use your content block 15 here in the footer.
Could I make content blocks work in the footer? Or do you have any other suggestions for using template #12 with content arranged in a grid?

Hi,
I want to update my theme from 4.6.3 to the latest version. After updating Newspaper directory via FTP I got white page and this in error.log:

Is there a way to use the social icons in other pages/posts? I tried copying the HTML and icon classes but nothing ever displays. I was rather fond of the social media block in the older version of Newspaper that I could use on any page. I’m trying to create staff pages, though I don’t want to create user accounts just for each user since not everyone makes posts.
Having a bit of a challenge.
On the basic home page, the menu in blue is the “main menu” (top image)
If I click on a category in the main menu, I get a 2nd menu that is just repeating the cateogories (in white with black text, the 2nd image)
is this a block issue?

I am using three columns on “homepage blank”, when i use the site in mobile (landscape mode) we need show two blocks per row (pic 2), not one (pic 1). And the third block should be under row together with the first block in the under row. The others two blocks be together in another row.

I’ve managed some workaround by duplicating: td_module.php into td_module2.php, and so on for td_block, td_data_source. Then i modified block9 to use the *2.php files where in data_source the unique filter is comment out.Worked like a charm

I’ve checked your site and notice that in mobile devices Newsmag theme it’s inactive, that’s why the blocks are not displayed. Try to deactivate Jetpack mobile theme: http://screencast.com/t/EZIPMqxq, clear the cache, purge the cdn files if you’re using and test again.

I have checked your site and did not found any issues with the thumbnails they properly cropped – http://screencast.com/t/jIDXmPgNbN There’s no ideal image size, the modules have thumbs with different aspect ratio and a part of the image may get lost on the cropping process. You could read more about the featured image size here (it’s from Newsmag documentation but the principles are the same) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/image-size/ You have to do some tests and see what aspect ratio to use, depending what blocks/modules you use most.
Also if you want to change the crop mode(center-top) or add a different thumb size, you need to alter the code – http://screencast.com/t/7nlYBLgcfb also the thumb is used in the modules – http://screencast.com/t/U34sGuJ2gfX If you make any changes you will have to regenerate thumbs.
