Hi,
The theme doesn’t have a similar filter for blocks widgets to do that. Only if you find a plugin that have something similar that get similar posts in a widget.

Tried those and still same weird issue. The blocks settings they are all turned on, still didn’t help. The image is actually set to be inserted as 640×360 still didn’t help when set to be the tagdiv fullwidth style, not sure why though. I’ll test a whole brand new post and insert the image there and see if the same things happen.
Good thing I’m testing this on my theme test domain and not my actual site first.
If youre referring to the headlines at top block, you need to regenerate your thumbnails to fit size of the boxes.
Use the regenerate thumbnails plugin.

okay, now with Yoast WordPress SEO “on” as well as “Limit Longin Attempts” plugin turned on (security to block repeat hack attempts by password guessing with bots); we now see the “rdfa-node” populated.
The preview still does not show the rating.
Publisher markup now on via Yoast setting, but “not verified publisher markup” error – even though it is verified.
Bookmark section related to item 1 appears to be error; as that is different story than “this page.”

am removing all my custom CSS ….. NO CHANGE

which is being inserted into the page as 681×383, which is breaking your layout.
You may want to go into the wp settings > media > and set the large or medium size to 640×480 or something like that, even though the theme should be doing that.
Also check the newsmag theme setting for blocks to ensure the 640×0000 size is “enabled” checked “on.”
That should solve it 🙂
Hi, updating from 1.1 to 1.301 this weekend.
Curious what would be simplest way to add breadcrumbs to top of the image area for the big image of post style 6?
perhaps add

From the update released today, the changelog shows 1.3 to 1.3.1 is the result of:
[ V 1.3.1 ]
– updated visual composer to V 4.3.5 (this version of the plugin is compatible with WordPress 4.1)
I actually already own the plugin separate from the theme. I’ve already updated the plugin to its newest version as well. I did this early this morning in fact.
I just want to clarify that there was nothing else updated outside of the plugin as I’m currently deep in customizing the theme for my live website, which will replace the current version of the theme already in use on my site hopefully by Monday. If in fact there were no additional updates/changes, I plan to just change the name of the style.css file from 1.3 to 1.3.1 since it wouldn’t make sense to re-upload the files only to write over my edits (yes, I’m using a Child theme).
Thoughts?

Every time I try to put video article i get this error that you see in the attachment.
So I select “DEFAULT” look of post, choose the format “VIDEO” and when I go to save the post, and this appears to me.
After this error, post is visible on the front page. However, is there is a solution to put video post and that does not answer to this error.

Hey , I purchased the NEWS MAG theme , it works great.
Just while Setting up , i m a complete non-techie guy and thus came across few queries , I M ON A URGENT NEED FOR THESE TO BE SOLVED , hence posting these together. i m priority wise posting my doubts below the UNIQUE POST & SMART-LISTS are the top to be solved ,Please help me out.
1. On my homepage , i have several blocks!
I have a BIG GRID >> all categories , which is sorting posts according to LATEST POSTS.
below that i have several BLOCKs which are displaying single category according to LATEST POSTs.
Now whenever i publish a post , it appears twice on the screen , once in the GRID and other in the catagory BLOCK.

How do i enable unique post option in news mag , so i don’t have redundant posts on my homepage.

4 While using Visual Composer ,whenever I insert a ROW and in row layouts i use the dividing it in two equal columns , the the border of the separator is extending till the bottom of the page. I tried the no border thing in row settings , but din work out for me.

Not sure to what css coding you refer to, just add the block where you want it then use css to style it.
You can also take a look at how the blocks are used in the footer and do the same for the header.

When uploading an image and when you set a post to video mode the theme generates this thumbnails sizes: http://screencast.com/t/DuBXXSuMhy which are used on blocks,sliders..
This are generated once for each image/video, this is normal so if in your case thumbs are created for the same video or same image each time you update a post or edit it please make sure that this is not cause by a plugin and check this without any plugins active, empty cache and try again and please let me know if this still happens as I have also tested this and didn’t found any issues.

I know how to do all the coding (PHP/CSS, etc) by myself so I don’t need to hire anyone, I just need to know what CSS coding to copy as my template to best code the header with block 16. I already placed the block in the correct header file, but the result is the content appears in a singular column instead of as a row.

Yesterday I bought this Theme and it’s really great.
But this morning when I tried to login to the admin panel I got this error.
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies before you can use WordPress.
I tried all possible cleaning the cache on Broser, chrome, firefox, internet explorer is still the same. I contacted the hosting provider because the hosting has turned on cache. But they say not to them but to the theme.
By the way have installed the latest version NewsMag 1.3. I worked on a lot of wordpress site but this had never happens except now.

This is a common and known issue and it’s related to your server configuration you can also test this on our forum or other site’s and just add another parameter like this ?parameter to the URL structure and you will find that it load the same page that is why this is interpreted as duplicate content.
To prevent search robots to index URL you can try using a plugins like WordPress Yoast SEO: https://yoast.com/wordpress-noindex-specific-posts-and-pages/ or you can also use this URL blocking method: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6062608?hl=en
The theme doesn’t pass the html5 validator you can also check his on out demo site: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/

You would need to use the below media query to target the mobile screens and alter the css for the block/blocks you need to set on two columns so that it would behave like you want it to when your site is accessed from a maximum 767px screen width.
I suggest altering the css for blocks 7/8 which have the smallest thumbnails.
This needs custom work and you would have to do this yourself or get some to do it for you as we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/
Here is the media query you need to target the mobile screens and apply your changes to the css code:

The theme’s blocks are designed and work better when using this page layouts: http://screencast.com/t/b6t7GCMG0W so please make sure that you set one of those layout for your page then also use the full width template(without sidebar) for a better view: http://screencast.com/t/OQzWeKCf
Other layout can also be used but not all blocks would behave well when using them and you would need additional styling to make them fit well on page.

this problem only appears when I use the Big Grid. The categories are NOT set up in any menu (and they are not set up as subcategories). They just exist as categories because I am planning to use them as parent categories in the future. When I use another block than the big grid everything is fine. This is why I still think it is a bug.
Anyway, I will hide it via CSS (or will not use the big grid).
