Hi Lucian,
Sorry for delay responding to you.
Thank you so much for all your help so far. I think we are getting there:
HOMEPAGE – FIXED
http://www.betasite05.co.uk/
Sidebar is fixed.
However the category page font is Roboto Condensed again.
http://www.betasite05.co.uk/category/culture/
For some reason it keeps defaulting to the Roboto Condensed font. Is it worth sending you my login to make sure?
Ken
Unfortunately, I just tried this and it is not working. I am still seeing the 2 categories in the page blocks and widgets. I have placed all 60+ category numbers in multiple categories field because I want those to show but no difference (http://screencast.com/t/k3beLnoG3).
Indeed, I did (and cleared cache), but still no luck. This is what it looks like; is it right?
.blog-stack .sf-menu .current-menu-parent .current-menu-item a, .blog-stack .sf-menu .current-menu-parent > a, .blog-stack .sf-menu > li:hover > a, .blog-stack .sf-menu ul li:hover > a, .blog-stack .td-post-text-content .more-link-wrap:hover a, .blog-stack .sf-menu ul .td_mega_menu_sub_cats a.cur-sub-cat, .blog-stack .sf-menu ul .td_mega_menu_sub_cats a.cur-sub-cat:hover, .blog-stack .td-mega-menu .block-mega-child-cats a:hover, .blog-stack .td_mod_mega_menu:hover .item-details a {
color: #3daced !important;
background-color: #ffffff;
}
.blog-stack .sf-menu .current-menu-item a {
color: #ffffff !important;
background-color: inherit !important;
}

Thank you.. I’ve also noticed that on iPad, pictures become really small if you add them with vidth values in a text block (we need to do this on our product pages in order to get the pages to look the way we want).
See example:
http://www.vitamail.no/polarkrill/ (Just drag to window to see what I mean).
Any solutions for this responsive issue?
Hi,
Please send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send you a tutorial on how to create a custom block.
Thanks
I’d like to have a slider on top of my front page which is built with the visual composer however.. when doing to the slider block the items in the mega menu.
Basically the menu ends up behind the slider and not the other way around which happens when there is no slider.
Any way to work around this?
Hi,
You can set the block title to be shown then and hide it via css, should look something like this: http://screencast.com/t/TcaSUdHoQt or you can use other type of pagination like load more or infinite load http://screencast.com/t/wFBnbW9WN
Thanks
Hi,
@Pjump If you have the unique articles on page activated then the post will only show in the slider and not into the block, on other word will be shown in the module/block/slider that is first on the page, you could also try to use the “filter by tag” feature and show the post in the slider by specifying a unique tag to that post and add in the “Filter by tag slug:” field http://screencast.com/t/1pIURyOhAn
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Glad you’ve done it.
Thanks for the message!
Hi
I am trying to create a custom block for Visual Composer for a custom product type. I am not sure how to add one. I would like to use the code of the old blocks and create a custom one.
Is there any way to do so?
Regards
Hi,
You can use the “Multiple categories filter:” like this: http://screencast.com/t/W7UT9Aec Add the ID’s of the categories that you want to show in that block and just exclude the one you don’t want to show.
You can find the category ID’s here: http://screencast.com/t/kKVTLxSCa
Hope this helps!
Thanks
The problem is that I have one article that is in multiple categories like “Featured” (to show the article in the main slider), “Food” and “Clothing”. I have different blocks to show each category in homepage. The article is showed only in the “Food”. The problem is that I want to show the article only in the slider (“Featured” category). I have the unique article feature enabled.
Thank you, it works, but pagination on my block disappeared with the name. Is there any options how to get it back without title?
Hi,
Add .page class, should fix it, remove the previous code from custom css filed or simply add the class like this:
.page .td_mod_wrap .entry-title a {
font-family: Merriweather !important;
font-size: 22px !important;
line-height: 28px !important;
color: #000000 !important;
}
Sorry about this!
Thanks
Hi,
You use Jetpack Photon – http://jetpack.me/support/photon/ that’s why the image link looks like this – http://i0.wp.com/www.pickperclick.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/maxresdefault7.jpg?resize=326%2C159
Without this CDN the link should be something like http://www.pickperclick.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/maxresdefault7.jpg
I’m not sure I understand what do you mean by recenter it, the image it’s only cropped, other then this it’s not different from the original, other than the size of it off course.
WordPress has some default cropping sizes http://screencast.com/t/ifk8fE1HYk and we added more sizes inside the functions.php file – http://screencast.com/t/2QaaubXnqxL
Those sizes are used on modules and sliders (including the Big Slider) , you can read here about the thumbs used on modules and sliders –https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-and-blocks/
If the image is smaller it will not be cropped, you can’t crop and image that has 200×300px to 700×300px, it can only be upscaled and wordpress doesn’t have such a feature.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

Hi,
Can you please give us wp-access so we can check this? Please provide your wp-admin user and pass at contact@tagdiv.com and also include link to this topic in your message or specify the issues details.
Also until we can offer you a solution I can suggest you to use the filter by tag feature http://screencast.com/t/zqqRyDsY This way you will control which posts will be displayed within that block, just add a specific tag to the post you want to add and then add that specific tag into the “Filter by tag slug:” filed also.
Thanks
You can do this on a block-by-block basis by editing one in the visual composer, or on a site-wide basis by changing the WordPress Settings -> Reading -> Blog pages show at most … option.
Got it! 😀 Note to self: don’t rely on Advanced Custom Fields’s have_rows() function to know what post it is if I’m in a module…
For anyone else having a similar problem with ACF: just remember to pass the function the $post object when you see the theme code using $this 🙂
Hmm… But I did just notice that the blocks inherited some other things I did to the modules. So I guess they’re just not calling the function the way I expect. Will poke my head in a few more places.
I don’t really know what you’re talking about Steven.
Yes, the site was temporary down because of a syntax error while trying add a code like this: http://triangle717.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/enabling-the-if-modified-since-header-on-wordpress-org/
but site is working after deleted code again- also from mobile and logged out. So I don’t know what’s the point here.
seem you just playing around with code and the theme and not serious about making a website for people to visit..i just find it weird that’s all
Aha, if that’s what you’re thinking…. if I wouldn’t care I wouldn’t ask the whole stuff.
Guess it’s besser to ask nothing here, I said from the beginning that I’m no professional and new to all this.
Well whatever I’m out.
I’ve added a custom field for coauthors, followed their docs, and written some basic php. It’s working great 🙂 I’ve switched the functions in all my single templates and modules to use my coauthor display function instead of the default get_author function. I’ve tested it in every module and single template and it works.
But I’m having a hard time figuring out how to change the blocks used in the Visual Composer. I see td_block_1 through _9, td_block, td_block_layout, etc., but can’t seem to find where it actually looks up the posts.
Can you point me in the right direction??
Ideally you’d post a new article into a single category like “food” but not “clothing” and so when building modules on the home page you’d select one block to show the food content, and another to show clothing content. Similarly to highlight content from a single category, across more than one you can use the “featured” category for a big slider, etc.
Still, this is a common issue … for example visit nbcnews.com as they’re having similar issue with their new site design 🙂
I ran into this with a music category, books category, and then when I had a “music book” that ran in both I ended up with story in two places on home page. But not end of the world if that happens.
Trick is to pick and choose categories and not put stories in all of them.
Not sure that helped, but my two cents anyway. 🙂
Is there a way to not include a specific category when selecting the options in the for blocks and sections such as http://screencast.com/t/Qs6DvohnWt. I use block 1 and I want all categories but 1 to display random posts.
AAH!! Just noticed it’s altered my sidebar posts:
