from the bottom of Home Page? I cannot find them in the appearance/widgets, and they are not editable in the tagdiv page composer.
Plus how do I enable author names in the blocks? I have done so in the
theme panel/block settings/meta info on Modules+Block/Show Author Name
But the author names are not being displayed in the blocks.

That seems to be an issue. Normally there should be options for the color like this https://i.imgur.com/i455vPH.png
But it seems that in the latest theme version those options do not appear. That is an issue. I have added it on our list for investigation. I believe it will be fixed very soon. For the time being I could provide some CSS to change the colors of the block titles if needed, or if it would be possible to wait until the issue is fixed, that is an option as well.

That’s definitely NOT a practical solution for anyone using your Theme. Clearly, this is a problem with other Newspaper Theme users and not just me, yet nowhere do you mention this that Links to Images placed on a Page or Post DO NOT WORK.
I’m sorry that you are feeling this way, but please read my reply above. This has been tested on standard wordpress theme, with no plugins, and the result is the same. This is not Newspaper Theme related.

Hi,
I have the homepage enable unique article, there is one block that I want to have its posts sorted with the latest post. How can it be done? I don’t see any setting to exclude the category from the unique article and want to show the duplicated post on the page.
I know I can make it works by using the offset setting, but it doesn’t always get the count correctly.
How do you offset with the block that has multiple categories?
Example:
1st block set to show 10 posts with these categories ( Fashion, Music, Arts, Movie)
-for instance,
– day one, I have 2 posts for Fashion, 3 for Music, 3 for Arts, and 2 for Movie
– day two, I have 4 posts for Fashion, 2 for Music, 2 for Arts, and 1 for Movie
– day three, I have 3 posts for Fashion, 1 for Music, 1 for Arts, and 5 for Movie
2nd block is Fashion
3rd block is Music
4th block is Arts
5th block is Movie
So if you use offset (3) for Fashion on the 2nd block, one day one the Fashion category will have a missing post.

I can update the background now, but the homepage isn’t full width now. How can I change this back?
Also the blocks/rows stay white. When changing the individual background colors of the rows, the margin-bottom stays white and can’t seem to be changed?

First, I tried to update Visual Composure by uploading the js-composer.zip file. It won’t upload. I hit install now and nothing happens. On my installed Plugins section, there is no way to deactivate the plugin. It just says, “There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 5.0.1 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate your Visual Composer. Got Visual Composer in theme?” I feel I’m stuck in an endless loop. I activated the TagDiv Composer and was going to move to that and be done with it. But when I open a new page, I see no way to access this plugin. Nothing comes up. No blue button to active the side bar like in the tutorial. I can only compose a page using “blocks” which I assume is from Visual Composer as the screen looks nothing like the tutorials for TagDiv Composure.
Further, I tried what you suggested. But when I place a Custom HTML block on the blog post and enter the code you said I should, ALL of the text below the HTML Block becomes hyperlinked. And subsequently, it look stupid and changes the text to the hyperlink color!

We are having an issue with ad spots in a header made with the Cloud Template tool on our news site MyRGV.com.
In looking at the way the system is set up, it appears our ad spots in our header are each loading twice, once for the desktop and tablet breakpoints, and then again at the mobile breakpoints.
Because of this, we are seeing different ads on mobile as opposed to at other breakpoints.
We are using the Widget Sidebar blocks in the TagDiv tool and loading the same ad tag in the different locations.
In looking at the site with the DFP tool, we can see the mobile and desktop versions of the ads have different CSS tags, showing they are completely different divs each loading their own ad on site load.
Is there a setting we can implement to make the ads responsive to where the TagDiv blocks will shift into the cloud template from the standard cloud template?

Does the plugin you are using offer you a shortcode for that block ? If you have a shortcode you can implement that via column text, Simply copy the shortcode and insert it in the text area of the column text as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/UEMEsVKog

I updated and installed all plugins for your theme. Site is back. But I just want to know. Why did put purchase license when customers entered my site? when i already purchased. I have screen shot. I will share. This will happen again?

Note : I have found why I’m not login to wp-admin that because one of my plugin that allow to login front end and prevent wp-login. So, locked out is not because of your theme. Sorry for that. But, Your theme blocked my site and shows as I send to you screen shot.
Please kindly give a complete guide for this error!. Because it should not happened in future.

That is a part of the latest articles page template. The latest articles option and related posts come from WordPress not from Newspaper Theme. You can disable it from here as you can see: https://www.screencast.com/t/uzXRgXTiHlH You can disable that and replace it with a Flex block that has more editing options.

I don’t know how to change the block title colors in the home screen.
I’m talking about any kind of block. Those titles they all have a black background, except the ones that came with the demo home screen. I tried to look where is that color configured in those blocks, I can’t find it.
So, I create new blocks, and the titles are always all black. I tried everywhere, for example, when I use the Flex Block 1, I tried in the “Pre-made style presets”, but nothing happens when I click on a color.
I also tried in the Theme panel, in the theme colors section, and in the block settings, I just don’t see any option that overrides those black titles that we don’t want.

In addition the site has been disassembled completely modifying the home page and other sections.

We just get an error “Instagram Gallery Block Render Failed – Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.”
But we have already successfully linked FB and instagram using the theme update section in “Newsmag > Social Networks” panel but issue persists.

I cant access the TagDiv Composer to edit my Pages. It is loading constantly in a loop. No matter which page i want to edit, it happens with every page/site.
This happened after i changed some Columns and saved it. Before everything was fine.

I just got off the phone with my host support at Hostgator.com. I spoke to a 15-year WordPress Developer. After he spent over 30 minutes with me troubleshooting, he came to the conclusion that the Newspaper Theme has not been updated since July 2021 and that WordPress has had a major update with a lot of features including the block features which he says that the Newspaper Theme 11.2 (which I have installed) does not address.
He further said that the image blocks placed in a blog Post are not working properly to link to a different destination URL because of the current Newspaper Theme version.
Does your development team even know that this is an issue?
Please advise. Obviously, I am a Registered User of this theme but this issue exists and it is NOT happening because of anything in my WordPress setup or hosting.

From the case details, I understand that you are unable to edit the pages using the tagDiv Composer editor.
I have checked the installation http://www.iev.wju.mybluehost.me/ and I was able to replicate the issue. The editor keeps on spinning. As suggested by the plugin vendor, I checked for the firewall block, but could not locate any. Currently, you are using the latest version of WordPress and PHP. It appears that the current version of the plugin is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress or PHP.
We have tried our best to troubleshoot the error, but could not fix it on our end. We are not trained web developers, so we do not have the working knowledge to address all website concerns and errors that may occur. The best option is to check this with the plugin vendor/developer as they would have the most experience working with their products. If they/you need any help, let us know and we can assist with anything on our server-side.
