1 the social media block top right won’t save urls correctly

Thank you so much for helping me with the meta info formatting. I have added a plugin to display read time and added the shortcode to the Cloud template Single Template – HRE. I would like to add this to my Cloud Template Category Template – HRE as well. The Block I need to add this to is the Post Loop block. On a page in the elementor editor I’ve put a block which works fine, not showing the images in the editor but shows them live however the block header background and text color take the global color set in the theme or elementor.
So when I change the colors in the editor it shows but live it’s always the global colors.
I,ve check this on 3 different browsers, mobile, incognito browsers ofc with empty cache but the colors don’t change on the front end while when I change the color of a block header on the homepage made with tagDiv composer they will show up up after saving.
Could you investigate this?

From your report this problem can be caused by an admin ajax that is blocked. You can check this by using the inspect option from the right click before click on the save settings button, check the console to see if you get some errors.
Normally admin-ajax.php is blocked by modSecurity from host, it can be from firewall or other security modules/plugins.
If you can not manage the situation, we can do it for you, for this, make a full backup and contact us at contact@tagdiv.com provide wp-admin and cPanel, also provide as many details as you can about the problem.

Hi! Sorry I wasn’t clear. I need to keep the view count on, so the 7 days popularity sort option can work on our ‘Populares’ section. If I disable it, then the 7 days sorting stops working for this block.

Hi kevinsikora, if you make the correct changes in theme files, then yes, you can display the custom fields, but the problem is that those flex elements will not work in a child theme. I saw in the video you have an admin-ajax error when you try to upload the image in post (isn’t a page) usually, this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Also, make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

I think that you are referring to blocks and flex blocks, because the grids doesn’t have excerpt option, only title length.
Now on flex blocks it should display the first x words/letters from the post content if you do not have set a text in excerpt zone (when you set a text in excerpt box this is consider that need to be all display and the excerpt is no longer apply).

What you can do is to set on blocks you want to apply the code an extra class and replace the “body” from code with that extra class, then the code will apply only on the blocks that have the class set by you.

All the elemenets of your page ( blocks, images, social counter, titles, etc… ) are a dom. The more elements you have, the more DOMs you will have. In order to reduce this you will have to make your page lighter, remove some elements that may be unused.

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to refresh the excerpt shown for articles in a grid (I’m using Flex Block 1).
When you first publish an article, the excerpt will show the content published in your article e.g. ‘123’, however, if you update the article’s content to ‘321’, this change doesn’t show in the excerpt of the grid. Instead, the grid will display the old content ‘123’ and not the updated one ‘321’.
I initially thought this was a caching issue, however after refreshing my cache (WP Super Cache) and browser cache, nothing changed.
Is it possible to refresh the article excerpt in a grid once the article is updated?
