I’m having the same issue. I’m running the site with demo content, and I get the errors when I remove blocks. The only third-party plugin I’m using is Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP), but I was getting the errors before I installed that. The site functions fine. Saves fine. But I have to refresh the page to get rid of the error messages. Glensidetoday.com

I’m not sure I understand. It says here (https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/):

“To make the transition from 9.8 to Newspaper 10 with Cloud templates, you need to ensure you gradually and smoothly remove the dependencies. Please read this, don’t scan. Failing in removing dependencies prior to deactivating the Standard Pack will break your website.

If your website uses any of the templates present there, you must replace it with its equivalent from the tagDiv Cloud Library.

We’ve made it easy for you and recreated them. Every template from the theme panel already exists in the tagDiv Cloud Library. It should be easy to find the one that’s closer to your brand and import it on your website. Customize it using tagDiv Composer and assign it to replace the existing one.

You must find and replace templates until you’ve completed the process. Then simply deactivate the Standard Pack, and you are ready for speed and performance.”

Doesn’t that mean I can now go into the Home page in ‘Pages’ and my other pages in Cloud Templates and swap the current header, blocks etc with I guess ones from the Cloud Library? Like I said above, you guys really need a guide on how to do this properly. It’s a little confusing.

Hello,

I want to add new icons fonts in the Tag Div Composer, I have read you have to download the *.woff extension, but when I download from webs it´s a block of different files, like here. I think I don´t do right the way to upload. In the theme panel –> theme fonts option –> I upload the *.woff file, but when I check-in the composer, no fonts are uploaded.
¿Can you help me?

We changed the site’s demo to Default PRO yesterday, updated the theme panel to make things look like they were, etc., and then briefly deactivated the Standard Pack to see what it would look like. Below, you can see some screenshots of the Home page, an article page, and category page.

https://www.vitalthrills.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/screenshot3.jpg

https://www.vitalthrills.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/screenshot1.jpg

https://www.vitalthrills.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/screenshot2.jpg

What would we need to do in order for things like the logo & header, the content block on the home page, and the sidebar on category pages to show normally?

Are there elements available in tagDiv Composer that should replace these? Does it work the same for the Pages and Cloud Templates sections?

Here is the live site with the Standard Pack activated: https://www.vitalthrills.com

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi,

You can use the tagDiv Composer -> and set some flex blocks -> http://prntscr.com/pu6k91 or add some block titles -> http://prntscr.com/pu6kkc -> http://prntscr.com/pu6kr8

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

You can achieve this is two ways, using custom css or using flex blocks, set filter category -> http://prntscr.com/pu4ph8 and style color -> http://prntscr.com/pu4pot -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Here is a topic for how to use the custom css to change the background color for label
categories -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-can-i-show-the-category-of-each-post-on-the-thumbnail-of-the-post/

Thank you!

Hi,

That would be possible by entering this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS
https://www.screencast.com/t/oZzqJc6v7

.td_block_related_posts .td-related-right {
display:none;
}

Or using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it with tagDiv Composer and set only related articles.

Thanks

Hello, images do not work in my template. I cannot attach images when I edit a block.

The first option to add an image does not work at all:
1) https://ibb.co/Htm2JwF
2) https://ibb.co/QpCWrZx
3) https://ibb.co/7N2fMw6 (I updated but not working anyway)

The second option works, but does not display the image on the site, and when saving does not update the information:

2) https://ibb.co/Hh2bnCF

Hi,

Unfortunately, Multiple Authors Plugin, has not been tested with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry!
The author box that appear on categories and pages can be found in this theme file -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes/td_block_author.php

Thank you for your understanding!

There are a lot of formatting issues in my sidebar. screen attached shows all the problem areas.

1 – all the fonts are different styles and weights. we have used the font section of the theme panel to the best of our ability but of all the areas on the site the sidebar widgets do not seem to be available. and the top section is HTML, how do we make sure the same font styles are used in open HTML? is there a reference sheet somewhere?

2 – our custom HTML widget could use an outline around the content block to fit in with the other content, is there any custom CSS that could help?

Footer Instagram Section doesn’t work.
I just have a red block “Instagram Gallery” instead of the Footer Instagram Section. I use the instagram account access configuration in the theme setting but it does not change anything.
What should I do ?

@co50 I think Calin was trying to tell you where the dpi settings were, if you would like to adjust the threshold to display retina images down to 100dpi.

Also a part of retina is set in this file -> http://prntscr.com/pt251i -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_util.php and this file -> http://prntscr.com/pt25ns -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js if you change the tagdiv_theme.js you’ll need to mimify the code en replace the one from tagdiv_theme.min.js

That seems to be the main cause of your issue and I would personally not consider it a “bug” – its just how they have their theme configured to keep images / page sizes optimized for faster load times.

While everything is translated on desktop I still see some English terms in mobile theme (screenshots attached)
https://yadi.sk/i/XRh3atrq_AoW_g
https://yadi.sk/i/Xst2HywDA9-wmw

I could hide things like that:
.td-mobile-footer-wrap .block-title {
margin: 0 0 10px 0;
visibility: hidden;
}

But:
1. it’s not good at all;
2. ‘LATEST ARTICLES’ doesn’t have distinct class for mobile.

When do you plan to fix this issue?

Question: I’m thinking of downgrading for now, considering I sent the information requested, would they still be able to see what the issue is? While I can operate without the block feature, I like the aesthetic of it.

very nice template with a lot of content 🙂

On Homepage Influencer template

I find how to edit the items displayed in the first block :
Featured Articles
Flex Block 1=> filter => Category filter 🙂

But
I would like to filter the content of other blocks:
– Latest Articles
but I did not find how to filter the category

Is it possible to make the last block of the template invisible?

<div>td-pb-span12 td-main-content</div>
</div>td-ss-main-content td_block_template_1</div>

I made a display: none, but it doesn’t work.

The block are the last items before the footer

Hi,

So in order to achieve a better speed, you’ll need to remove the dependencies ( standard elements from the theme ) -> http://prntscr.com/ptlqqp If your website uses any of the templates/blocks present there, you must replace it with its equivalent from the tagDiv Cloud Library, in this way you’ll not longer need to have activate the standard pack plugin.
We recommend to make this local host or on sub-domain in this way you’ll make sure that this will not interfere with your online website.

Thank you!

/* custom css */
.td-gutenberg-editor .editor-styles-wrapper .wp-block {
max-width: 334px;
}

This is the code that’s overwriting correct CSS.

Hi,

Please try this custom css -> http://prntscr.com/ptkxw7
.vc_widget_sidebar .widget_categories .block-title span{
background-color: red;
}
.vc_widget_sidebar .widget_categories .block-title {
border-color: red;
}
.vc_widget_sidebar .widget_archive .block-title span{
background-color: green;
}
.vc_widget_sidebar .widget_archive .block-title {
border-color: green;
}

The code need to be set in Theme Panel> Custom code> Custom css, also feel free to change the colors.

Thank you!

Hello !

Please make sure that you have made the update correctly. We recommend deleting the older version of the theme and plugins and install the new one, overwriting the files of the theme could cause issues. Also please watch our tutorial regarding images here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Thank you !
