HI,
If you do not want to have the grid on category page, you can disable it from theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/oibxe5 or if you want to have the grid on the first category page and remove it only for the rest of the category page, then you’ll need to use a custom code
if (document.body.classList.contains('category')) {
if (document.body.classList.contains('paged')) {
document.getElementsByClassName("td_block_big_grid_1")[0].style.display = "none";
}
}
The code need to be set in Theme Panel>Custom code> Custom JavaScript -> http://prntscr.com/oicaib
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Please note that our theme uses some blocks which displays the images on the frontend. All of these modules use more thumbnails, according to the block used by you. All of the available thumbnails of the theme might be found here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/H8BnyntmRw Also, you can regenerate all of your images using the Thumbnails Regenerate plugin or Force Regenerate, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you!
Hi,
This can be achieve only using css like this one
http://prntscr.com/oibw8k
.td_block_big_grid_1 .td-post-date, .td_block_3 .td-post-date {
display: none
}
The code need to be set in theme panel > Custom code> Custom css.
Hope this will help you to achieve what you need.
Thank you!
Hi CRiTiCAL,
Please try this custom css to remove the date from the mobile homepage ( and all blocks that have the homepage module )
-> http://prntscr.com/oiaojv
.td_module_mob_1 .td-post-date{
display: none;
}
The code need to be set in the mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/0IE0OfH6Z1Fd also please clear all cache after you set this code.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
You can do this easily, binder that most popular post blocks, did you notices there is a filters option just opt-in there and pick the categories you want to be showing up but the issue here is that you can only pick one categories since you don’t want all categories to be showed
See the setup In the below screenshot
Another observation: the div td-header-sp-rec,which is the parent div to the above, is showing a size of 728×0. That could explain why nothing is visible in that block. What would cause this?
<div class="td-header-sp-rec">
<div class="td-header-ad-wrap td-ad-m td-ad-tp td-ad-p">
<div class="td-a-rec td-a-rec-id-header td_uid_1_5d34cdb15827f_rand td_block_template_1">
<span class="td-adspot-title">TEST </span>
<div class="td-all-devices">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>

I’m back on this problem. In Chrome’s Inspector, the block is there. It’s just not visible.
<div class="td-header-ad-wrap td-ad-m td-ad-tp td-ad-p">
<div class="td-a-rec td-a-rec-id-header td_uid_1_5d34c16c4662e_rand td_block_template_1"><span class="td-adspot-title">TEST </span>
<div class="td-all-devices">

</div>
</div>
</div>
The image URL is good so this points to a possible CSS issue with block visibility.
Hi Simion,
Thank you so much for your time. Wonderful advice and yes I have used Flex Block 1 and now have the desired result. I must of overlooked this block.
Thanks again
Liam
Hi, Thanks I have checked the link and this is what I also want to do. However it does not work for me.
.td-module-image a[href$="/news/"],
.td-meta-info-container a[href$="/news/"]
{
background-color: green;
}
.td-module-image a[href$="/nxt/"],
.td-meta-info-container a[href$="/nxt/"]
{
background-color: blue;
}
.td-module-image a[href$="/wweresults/"],
.td-meta-info-container a[href$="/wweresults/"]
{
background-color: red;
}
If my block does not contain any images, do I still use the “td-module-image part”?
For example, I am using block 9 which is only title and text. The code above is not changing the category tag colour within the block element.
My category is titled “Employment”, what different code do I need to use to change colour please?
Thanks.

Yes, that worked for changing the text.
What if I want to get rid of the complete text on certain blocks while keeping them for others.
For instance on this URL – https://www.techuntold.com/
In the featured block and the one below it, we don’t want to show “Last Updated” label and while showing it for the block “Useful Resources”.
Hi,
That depend of the footer style that you are using, if this is a predefined one, then you’ll need to change on a empty footer and set the elements in Appearance> Widgets
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ for example if you have the style 2 you’ll need to use the style 3 and add the blocks you need from Widgets -> http://prntscr.com/oh9tce
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,
1. Once removed the category base (meaning the word category in the URL) will not show anymore on all the post links. Then it will depend on the permalink structure you choose in wordpress settings – http://prntscr.com/oh8l48
The website mentioned above https://www.theepochtimes.com/ uses a post name permalink structure from what I can see. So the URL will be example.com/post-name, no category base or category name.
2. You could check some online guides mentioning best free or premium newsletter plugins. Mailchimp is one of the most popular ones as far as I know
– https://www.formget.com/best-free-wordpress-newsletter-email-marketing-plugins/
3. I really can’t say, maybe try some of these – https://www.sitepoint.com/best-donation-plugins-for-wordpress/
4. By default WordPress cannot do this. maybe it could be done with a plugin, check this topic for some plugin suggestions – https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-publish-manage-blog-posts-from-single-Wordpress-website-to-multiple-Wordpress-websites
5. The theme can export the theme panel settings only – https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
So all the settings made in the theme panel, ad codes, custom codes etc can be exported and used in a different location where the theme is installed.
There are content protection plugins to try and prevent these actions. I believe this one is quite widely used – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-content-copy-protection/
There could still be ways to bypass it, but it should block the vast majority of the attempts.
You could try others as well – https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/content-protection/
Thanks
Hi,
I think that you are referring to the “Custom title:” -> http://prntscr.com/oh8gm3 if is so please notice that not all blocks have this “Custom title”
, for example the Big Grids do not have it, or you can use the “Title” element -> http://prntscr.com/oh8hsg
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details and some screenshots.
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to have different category tag color on post page you can check the options from Theme Panel> Categories in Per category settings section -> http://prntscr.com/oh7eu0 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/default-category-settings/
If you want to achieve this on blocks/modules, you can do this only using custom css -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-create-custom-code-in-newspaper-theme/
You can check this similar topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-can-i-show-the-category-of-each-post-on-the-thumbnail-of-the-post/
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
From what I can find wp rocket already has render blocking capabilities
– https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/108-render-blocking-javascript-and-css-pagespeed
Maybe you could use the settings from there, and not a different plugin. Then make tests.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately this can be achieve only global, on all blocks not only on specific blocks; in order to achieve that you’ll need to set a primary category, if there is not set any primary category then will be show in alphabetical order.
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
1)You can use a bit of CSS code for that. Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Cusotm CSS area.
.td-header-container{
border: 3px solid green;
}
The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Mg8hXDjeEI
3)I suppose that you are using the Footer Template Style 1 which is default footer section which comes with some default blocks. If you want to have more control over that section you will need to use another Footer Template, like 2 or 6 which allows you to add any widget you want from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Q2fi9hZBU7t -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3yiUQsCT Check the documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you very much for your appreciation. I will try to help with the issues you are having.
In the homepage I see there are lots of mixed content issues, I believe you are in the process of installing the SSL certificate so that should solve itself when it is finished.
The wordpress recent posts widget doesn’t show an image as far as I know. It displays the post title and the date if enabled – http://prntscr.com/oh5ona
You could however use a theme block instead of that widget, and call it recent posts. Sort it by latest so that it shows the freshest posts – http://prntscr.com/oh4olg
– http://prntscr.com/oh4ooy
In the footer currently I see that a footer page is set. The theme provides predefined footer templates but it can also display a footer page in the footer location
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
If you want to customize the footer page, there is an option in the theme panel
– http://prntscr.com/oh5qo4
Note that some demos when installed will load a custom stylesheet, containing various CSS customization. The journal demo will set a background color for the website
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_journal/
This will override the theme panel background color it seems, I will make a note of it and we will find a different solution for this demo customization. For the time being you could remove the background color from the demo here – http://prntscr.com/oh5z27 Then the theme panel color will apply. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
I don’t quite understand what you are trying to do unfortunately. Blocks display posts regardless of what templates the posts use, according to their filtering. Posts that appear in a block can’t be filtered by post templates if that is what you want to do. Let me know.
Hi,
The theme create automatic thumbs for each modules.
Thumbnails – Fix strange looking images on blocks -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If there is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can check this picture in the Big Grid 3.
Thank you!
Hi,
The wordpress recent posts widget should display only the article title and date (if date is enabled) – http://prntscr.com/oh4lrl – http://prntscr.com/oh4lxw
So there should be no author there, and the date can be disabled in the widget settings. This widget can’t display the featured image of the post.
You could however use a theme block instead of that widget, and call it recent posts. Sort it by latest so that it shows the freshest posts – http://prntscr.com/oh4olg
– http://prntscr.com/oh4ooy
Please let me know if you have more questions, or if I misunderstood what you want to do.
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Flex Block 1 for your homepage. Please note that you can change the text size from the Block Settings from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/XwVca62Nu
Thank you!
We are having an issue with our site bionavigen.com, where on the home page (https://bionavigen.com), in the top hero banner, we are not able to align the Column Title block (“Navigate With Confidence”) used in the top hero banner in Firefox.
Here is a screenshot of how it appears on Firefox: https://snag.gy/A9hfUE.jpg
Here is a screenshot of how it should appear using Chrome: https://snag.gy/GQfEOh.jpg
Please let me know if there is a fix for this. Thanks
That CSS does not work.
The category page uses the ‘Style 1’ template.
http://prntscr.com/oh03s4
Where do I change the options of the block that use the ‘Style 1’ template (for category pages) to apply the ‘accent hover color’ to title as you suggest in this link?
https://www.screencast.com/t/jYyV0MMSWWM8
That is what I want. You change the accent color in the category pages.
Best regards
Joseph
