If you do not want to have the grid on category page, you can disable it from theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/oibxe5 or if you want to have the grid on the first category page and remove it only for the rest of the category page, then you’ll need to use a custom code

Please note that our theme uses some blocks which displays the images on the frontend. All of these modules use more thumbnails, according to the block used by you. That depend of the footer style that you are using, if this is a predefined one, then you’ll need to change on a empty footer and set the elements in Appearance> Widgets

1. Once removed the category base (meaning the word category in the URL) will not show anymore on all the post links. Then it will depend on the permalink structure you choose in wordpress settings – http://prntscr.com/oh8l48
The website mentioned above https://www.theepochtimes.com/ uses a post name permalink structure from what I can see. So the URL will be example.com/post-name, no category base or category name.

2. You could check some online guides mentioning best free or premium newsletter plugins. Mailchimp is one of the most popular ones as far as I know

There could still be ways to bypass it, but it should block the vast majority of the attempts.

, for example the Big Grids do not have it, or you can use the “Title” element -> http://prntscr.com/oh8hsg

Unfortunately this can be achieve only global, on all blocks not only on specific blocks; in order to achieve that you’ll need to set a primary category, if there is not set any primary category then will be show in alphabetical order.

3)I suppose that you are using the Footer Template Style 1 which is default footer section which comes with some default blocks. In the homepage I see there are lots of mixed content issues, I believe you are in the process of installing the SSL certificate so that should solve itself when it is finished.

The wordpress recent posts widget doesn’t show an image as far as I know. It displays the post title and the date if enabled – http://prntscr.com/oh5ona

Note that some demos when installed will load a custom stylesheet, containing various CSS customization. The journal demo will set a background color for the website

I don’t quite understand what you are trying to do unfortunately. Blocks display posts regardless of what templates the posts use, according to their filtering. Posts that appear in a block can’t be filtered by post templates if that is what you want to do. Let me know.

So there should be no author there, and the date can be disabled in the widget settings. This widget can’t display the featured image of the post.
