Hello! After I figured out the issue, Simon confirmed it via email and told me to post the solution and links to the tutorials I created on how to resolve the issue.
The issue is double gzip compression. Bluehost is set to compress by default and then WP Super Cache also compresses causing the weird characters. Compression has to be turned off on one of them. I turned off Bluehost compression (cache control) in both the host and WordPress settings allowing WP Super Cache handle it. The website was restored.
The same issue can happen with any web hosting provider, cache plugin or if there are two caching plugins. Only one thing can compress the website at a time.

Thanks so much for an awesome theme and letting me help with this!
Melissa
My website, theaterbyte.com, has the formatting thrown off when I try to update to 12.6.1. I have had to roll it back to 12.5.1 as clearing cache, etc. does not seem to fix this.
Hi,
Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.
Thank you!
Hi NyttenET,
I made some deep research and it looks that the ” https://www-eurasiantimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/” is related to AMP Cache URL Format and Request Handling, normally if you don’t use AMP, when a reader clicks one of your links on the https://news.google.com site they should be redirected to your site. On mobile, the article is instead opened in the Google News app and the reader can still optionally visit your site from the article.
Thank you!
Hi Anamaria
I just did it, but the problem still exists. no change takes effect, also I cleared the cache.
Hi,
Please go to the theme panel -> block settings -> inline css and disable the option to minify the css, clear the cache and check after.
Thank you!
Hello!
Check the last answer in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/google-ad-manager-use-in-theme-ad-admin-panel/
Clear all the cache, force refresh and try again.
Thank you!

Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin or mobile page for your website, then you’ll need to be sure that you are using a cache plugin that supports mobile cache to can deliver different cache when you are on mobile and when you are on desktop, otherwise it will be deliver the cache version that was last time made (sometimes will be mobile version, sometimes desktop version).
Thank you!
Strange, I’m using the recommended plugin WP Super Cache. There are no problems with the standard gallery. For example, everything is normal here – https://libymax.ru/smart-ochki-mini-augmented-vision-glass/.
On this page https://libymax.ru/carlex-mercedes-g63-amg-steampunk-edition/ in the error console I see a 404 error for the gallery buttons – arrowscleft30.png:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (). There are no left-right buttons…
Hello,
It seems you have the mobile theme plugin enabled; please disable it, clear the cache, and check after.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edited with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check the console, I think that you have some errors.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to disable the Litespeed cache plugin and check after because some settings seem to interfere with the ads.
Thank you!
Hi lexsiks,
If the problem appears only when you are not logged in, then it is related to the cache options, this is interfering with the css and javascript for the Gallery.
Thank you!
i installed mobile theme with amp after that im unable to change template mode its only default selected Transitional Mode and when google cached my amp pages and i click on any article from google search its showing a white page with loading icon and nothing open
Hello @platamun47 !
Do you have any errors in the browser’s console?
Deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Hello @Ryu234 !
I’ve tested and it is working just well. Make sure that the theme and plugins are up to date.

Hello @sultanmehmet01 !
Please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-optimization/
We gladly recommend the wp super cache for your site.
Thank you!
Hi,
I see that you resolved the issue -> https://i.imgur.com/FOsMdHo.jpg
This happens usually due to the cache plugin.
Thank you!
Also, when search for similar topics, I have found a usefull advise:
“There can be use almost any cache plugins, but the WP Super cache is a recommendation because was tested and it works with all the theme options (using the settings from our guide).
Now, the are other cache plugins that we saw with Newspaper, like WP Rocket, litespeed, Total cache … all of them can be used if you find the right settings that will not interfere with the options you are using. Also, the most common problems are related to js and css, so in this case you can exclude some js files from been cached.
Unfortunately, we do not know what recommendation do to for those plugins because those can differed from the options that are used by each user.
Thank you for your understanding!”
So if I wanted exclude caching of an theme css and/or js in order to bypass the problem in this regard, which theme file destiny (js or css) should I exclude from cache? Any idea?
Hello Bettina,
Thank you very much for your feedback. I’ve performed your suggestions and figured out that the reason for the problem was the “Litespeed Cache” plugin. Now the question is, do I have to assign any exceptions for the cache plugin, so that my theme functions doesnt get corrupted?
Don’t know if the suggestion works for a NGINX proxy cache too? I mean we are still using apache as the main webserver?
Am I missing something?
Hello!
Please check if this issue is showing in the tagdiv Composer as well.
If the issue is not showing in the tagdiv Composer, then make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Thank you Ana María.
The embed code works for me.
I’d like to go with oEmbed. I mean, writing only the url of the post. For example, “https://www.instagram.com/p/CyQWbjtIed8/”, only this code.
– With another theme it works, with and without cache
– with a helper code like Smash balloons + Newspaper it doesn’t work, and it should
Something into the theme is avoiding the oembed features, is it possible?
