Created a desktop template and a mobile template for my homepage and for posts. Yet no matter what I try, both templates will not work together at the same time. If the desktop template is working, it’ll show that desktop template when loading in on mobile and desktop. If I clear the cache, the templates will swap and then show the mobile template when loading on both desktop and mobile.

Load the pages: https://www.fashionably-early.com/
or https://www.fashionably-early.com/2023/03/21/splendi-lazy-bones/

and you will surely see our issue.

Hello @marvinschaap !

Normally, the plugins should remain installed and active. Our plugins are not set up to deactivate themselves. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. If you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it and see if the problem goes away.

Thank you!

It could be a problem with the caching tools that you use. Uninstall all the extra plugins that are not tested with our theme and delete all the cache from your browser too. Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

Hi, brand new site with nothing on it, on siteground, server cache off, no other plugins on site.

When I install the latest version 12.3, it errors when installing the plugins.
tagDiv Composer : Ajax error
tagDiv Cloud Library: Ajax error
An error occurred and we could not finish the process. Please manually update the plugins.

And if I manually do it, then it works, but license doesn’t activate to install demo’s, it just hangs. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you checked for a plugin conflict? You will have first to start looking for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hello!

Please check the console while this is happening and see if there are any errors.
Sometimes, the issue can be caused by a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.

Server Object Cache Not Working
Hmm ok so I seeing a lot of autoloaded data for the site, it is over the max limit of 1MB or 800kb – this can result in 502s on the site This will need to be reduced following these steps: https://wpengine.com/support/database-optimization-best-practices/#Autoloaded_Data

These are the top 20 largest autoloaded rows:

+———————-+————————————–+
| LENGTH(option_value) | option_name |
+———————-+————————————–+
| 1053678 | td_011_settings |
| 773215 | td_011 |
| 22490 | rewrite_rules |
| 13769 | autoptimize_css_defer_inline |
| 9785 | bookly_cloud_products |
| 9272 | wp_user_roles |
| 7383 | wpseo_titles |
| 6541 | cron |
| 5691 | wpseo_taxonomy_meta |
| 5243 | tribe_events_calendar_options |
| 4645 | wpseo |
| 3411 | wpseo_local |
| 3338 | Newspaper_demo_history |
| 3182 | wpseo-premium-redirects-export-plain |
| 2332 | genesis-settings |
| 2232 | dprv_html_tags |
| 2042 | fs_accounts |
| 1782 | wpe_cache_config |
| 1645 | wpil_2_ignore_words |
| 1588 | td_011_remote_cache |
+———————-+————————————–+

Total autoloaded data (in bytes):
mysql> SELECT SUM(LENGTH(option_value)) FROM wp_options WHERE autoload = ‘yes’;

1961371
We want that total to be under 800k or so for good performance.
This is ~1161371 bytes larger than 800k… Not ideal.

Url – https://bayarearegistry.com/
Specific page – https://bayarearegistry.com/category/food-drink/

Page output does not match edit page/input. The edit page (https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Ozwcol6qBB8GKFeRRvIxx1Ji8-NVr8T/view?usp=share_link) shows all posts in the Food & Drink category, but the live/website version (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rVuWDr5PRUSmTHbyJsoiEL31qNDZ7wLp/view?usp=share_link) is missing (skips 10) posts (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n__3sj3dMjLRx3J7H1ZngdfwSshsUGLk/view?usp=share_link). Primary categories on desired posts are all set as “Food & Drink.” Already tried deleting cache. Can’t remember – how does the page know what Category to pull into the loop?

Hi again, I deactivated all plugins except TagDiv Composer and Cloud, cleared cache, and still had the issue. I repeated the first step you sent about the Composer plugin and still have the display issue. I’m not using a child theme.

Hi, I followed your instructions but it’s still displaying incorrectly. I used the Delete Cache option from WP Super Cache… is there another cache setting somewhere else I should clear too?

W3 Total Cache the plugin for caching
for the server:
Cloudlinux version 6.10.0
Wordpress 6.1.1
PHP 8.0
Cpanel 102.0.30

Hello,

This sounds like a caching issue. You can check if is a plugin conflict by checking only with the theme plugins enabled. But since you say when you are logged was working correctly, then it can also be a cache or object cache https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you have and the server.

Thank you!

Anamaria

Hi,

So, you resolved it.
As I can see, the SiteGround plugin doesn’t have a separate cache for mobile.

Thank you!

Anamaria

Hi,

If you use Wp Rocket, you can try to exclude the following files
/jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js
/jquery-migrate(.min)?.js
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
tdBlocksArray
After clear the cache.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria

I have disabled all caching (including object cache) via the cache plugin and have also switched my CDN to dev mode to bypass all cache but the issue is still occurring.

Are you, or someone else on the team, able to inspect for me?

Thanks.

Paradoxer

Okay, so this is rather counter-intuitive, but what I have done to seemingly fix this issue for me is that, as I’m using SiteGround as my website’s host, I had to actually keep the SG Optimizer plugin installed and active, but disable the “Dynamic Caching” option in that plugin to make sure SiteGround was not using caching at all. Then, I enabled WP Super Cache with the proper settings, and so far there has been no conflict regarding the desktop version of the website, and the mobile theme works fine.

Hello!

A code in your frontend is appearing only when you have a plugin uninstalled when it should be installed, so instead of the code, it will display the element from that plugin.
Check in the Newspaper -> Plugins.
