Hi,

Please purge the cache a few times, also check if you don’t have an object cache -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ -> https://kinsta.com/blog/w3-total-cache/#object-cache.

Thank you!

Hello,

The cache plugin was disabled.

I activated the Lite Speed plugin, deactivated the cache object, deleted the cache and deactivated the plugin.

I have entered via FTP to the files and there is no cache object file created (objet-cache.php).

There is no other plugin activated.

What do you want me to do now?

Hello,

Yes, we recommend using only one cache plugin, the WP Super Cache plugin with this configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure

Thank you!

(we do have cache with our hosting as well)

And if so how to set it up ideally for the newspaper theme? is there documentation?

Thanks,

Hello,

The LiteSpeed plugin has an option to create an object cache -> https://blog.litespeedtech.com/2018/02/07/object-cache-support-in-lscache/ please try to delete that file and disable the option https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

Thank you!

Hello,
The remain problem seems to be from an inline css -> https://i.imgur.com/qLc5D1x.png this is not changing the opacity from 0 in 1. Most of the time this kind of problems has been caused by cache and optimize plugins (settings related to css minify, image loading).
Thank you!

Hi,
Unfortunately large database are not quite easy to handle, because the request most of the time need to check all the data from the database.
Related to the blocks and settings from the theme, I see on the website that you achieve right settings (even on the live search element).
Maybe you can use a cache on database, this can help a little.
Thank you!

Hi,

I checked them, that’s why I said to purge the cache.
It seems that the logo is added but has the width and height 0 -> https://i.imgur.com/DDW4SV2.jpg and it is not a problem with the image, because it works without problems for me. -> https://i.imgur.com/lmJ7E7d.png
Did you use a plugin for lazy load?

Thank you!

Please take some of your time to check the problem.

It is not a cache problem, I have deactivated the cache plugin and the problem persists.

I have tried on incognito pages and the problem persists.

Hello Mette!

Please make sure the issue is not from a plugin conflict or a cache issue, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

A similar topic has been discussed here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cloud-templates-error-5/

Hope that helps you!

Hello,
There are a few elements that consume CPU, from the theme. Normally that would not be a problem, but for a larger website with high traffic, and depending on the elements used from the composer, that will affect the performance. To name one such element, that is the ajax pagination, I see you are using quite a lot of it, for all the blocks I believe – https://i.imgur.com/JfcYH6C.jpg
Ajax pagination, like the next/prev, load more button etc and also the infinite loading, will consume CPU. They are supposed to consume CPU, or they would not work otherwise.
I would suggest trying to reduce the usage of ajax pagination, clear the cache, and that should have a positive impact on the performance.
I wanted to suggest to try cleaning the database – https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-clean-up-your-wordpress-database-for-improved-performance/ Or look for a plugin that does this regularly automatically, there should be some that can do this.
I can say that I have seen high traffic websites using database cleaning/optimization plugins, whether they are used in an automatic way or manual, with great results. But that doesn’t quite mean that this will have the same result across all the websites. Each website is different. Maybe try the plugin you mention for a while, to see if it helps.
Thank you!

Hello canopi_life,
If the problem is usually when you are not logged in, then it can be caused by a cache plugin. If is possible, please do some tests without the cache and optimize plugins to see if the problem persist.
Another situation can be related to the browsers that are used.
Please check those and let us know the results!

Hello!

I’m sorry to hear about this.
Before every update, you need to deactivate the non-tested plugins with our theme and then update the theme and tagdiv plugins too.
Try to deactivate all the plugins and cache plugins that you use and try to reinstall the plugins again.
It could be from a plugin conflict or settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

If the issue is still there, then let us know. We will investigate the issue and let you know what can be done there.

Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– cpanel url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you

Thank you!

Hello,
I just checked your article and I see that now the css is apply correctly -> https://i.imgur.com/z0NQbXw.png did you manage to fix it? If no, then please try in incognito, maybe you have some cache on the browser or some extensions that are interfering.
Thank you!

Hi,
So you say that the theme is broken, but my question is if the theme is broken, shouldn’t every user of the theme have the problem you have?
Something that doesn’t happen, so, my opinion is that you have some settings or plugins that don’t work with the theme.
For example, I remember that in a topic you mentioned that you use cloudflare APO, for example this is not tested with the theme and we do not know how it works, for the moment the recommendation is that this option be avoided.
I also saw that you use the litespeed cache plugin, this plugin must be very well configured with our theme to work correctly (not to mention the fact that certain settings in this plugin are applied even after the plugin has been deactivated).
As for the response time, if you write to us during the week, we will try to answer you within a maximum of 24 hours, but if you write to us on Friday or at the weekend, the answer will come on Monday, and if the workload is very high, it may even be on Tuesday.
If you sent an e-mail, most likely our team will check it today and answer you.
Thank you for understanding!

I also think I am having FOUC issue (Flash of unstyled content)

I am have been looking into how to fix this also. But cannot work out these soltions here

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3221561/eliminate-flash-of-unstyled-content

When you load my site from freash cache browser. Menu items start as squares. But when site is cached in broswer. You dont see it.

Hi mgiannelis,
Can you please let us know how did you discover that this problem is from the theme, we are also very curious!
My question is simple, when you are logged in to the site and the cache does not apply, does it work correctly? Does the dropdown in the menu and the sliding sidebar work?
If so, then it is possible that some settings in the cache plugins interfere with the css and javascript in the theme.
Now if you have tested everything listed above and the problem persists, please contact us by email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide us a chance to investigate the problems. For this we will need temporary wp-admin access, and also include this link to identify you faster.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hello!

You can edit your mobile page in the TagDiv Composer in the 2 viewports: https://prnt.sc/RW9E2WVGa787
Please clear your cache or try it in an incognito file on your phone and see the changes.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!
