Hello cartu,
Do you have disabled all the untested plugins? Also, if you are using the Mobile theme and this will not work as properly, notice that issue happens due to WP Super Cache.
Try to refresh your page and check the results. Clear all your caches after this. Also, try to remove all the server caches and if you do not have any access to do this, you should consult the hosting provider and request this task.
Please notice that the mobile theme makes some troubles due to WP Super Cache plugin. Also, the WP Super Cache plugin is compatible with the mobile devices, but if you are using the Mobile Theme, please notice that you should make some changes for a better working. This could be a problem from wp super cache and not the browser. If you use the plugin, please use this method to fix the issue:
Use this link and add the customization as marked here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows there. Otherwise, if you do not want to make these changes you should simply disable the mobile theme until the WP Super Cache plugin will be updated.
For more information about our mobile theme, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The featured image does not seem to be available on your post.
Pleas make sure you uploaded a featured image in the post back-end. IF the image is present, then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello Scottseol,
Please keep in mind that our theme has two mobile design -> the mobile responsive and the mobile theme plugin. The mobile responsive will display the same desktop layout but it was optimized for tablets and mobile devices. The second one is Mobile Theme and for more information about this concept, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you are using the Mobile theme and this will not work as properly, notice that issue happens due to WP Super Cache.
Try to refresh your page and check the results. Clear all your caches after this. Also, try to remove all the server caches and if you do not have any access to do this, you should consult the hosting provider and request this task.

Hi,
I have moved my website to VPS and the super cache plugin went crazy, since he is still using the old user name and I have a new one, since I have created a new hosting). I have tried to delete it and install it again, but the database is still wrong. How can I completely remove it or force it to rebuild itself so he won’t be generating all these error messages?
Hi,
At the moment your website seems to be working fine, the images on the front page and posts are displaying properly. There are some cache related errors in the console
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hb4idBUICAb
It would be best to try and use this caching plugin with the recommended configuration
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Dear Bogdan B.
Thank you for answer and support. I made all changes but I have the same message from newspaper theme system status :
No caching plugin detected â for best performance we recommend using WP Super Cache.
Any Help ?
Best Regards,
Andreas

Thanks
Hello Andreas,
Please use this guide to properly set wp super cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also wp super cache has a flaw in it;s code that should be corrected.
https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows in the provided link.
Let us know if you still have trouble with wp super cache.
Thank you!
Hello Lavesh,
If you cannot see the images, it could be a plugin conflict and not a theme update issue. You probably have a js error in your browser console that breaks the lazyload animation. Try to find which one of your plugins causes the issue and remove/replace it. This is done by disabling all plugins at once, clearing the cache and resetting/purging cdn files if you use it. Then re-activate the plugins one by one testing your site after each one to see which one causes the images to break
Or it could not be a plugin at all and it could be a custom modification you made or your child theme that needs updating as well. The child theme is not updated proof. Try to switch to the main theme to test it out.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hello pavel@earnware.com,
Check your system status parameters and verify if your parameters are increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Clear all the caches and check the result after this.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
We do not neglect any answer. We simply do not work on weekends. The support hours are posted in the top right of this page.
The tested and recommended plugin to use with our theme is wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
We did not tested wp fastest cache so I cannot say for sure if it will work properly or not. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are found in the theme plugins section: https://www.screencast.com/t/pAJUW2LB
Thank you!
Hello capnsmak,
There seems to be an issue with the access token in the current version of the social counter.
Please download this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip
And very important: clear all your caching including the browser cache. Example for Chrome: https://www.screencast.com/t/f9Q66lPx1fY
Now the access token should work as before.
If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

I have two sites with Newspaper theme. I can disable roy in newspaper 7 and the module don’t remain in page, but it seems that this not work in V8. I disable row and save module and page, but it still remaining. No cache plugins working, etc.
Hi, it seems to be working now…I cleared the cache with Cloudflare. Another question I had though, is it possible to display a title for a big full grid as you can for the blocks? I can’t seem to find that option. By the way I really love the new TagDiv composer!
I’ve been following this guide on how to add the social counter widget to my site. https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
However, no matter what I do, nothing appears when I click the “Get Access Token” button for Facebook. I’ve tried clearing my cookies/cache/etc and I’ve tried using a different browser.
Is there a way to get the token to appear somehow else or otherwise get this to work? Really stumped at this point.
Hello, I’ve upgraded to Newspaper 8 then I re-create my front page with new tagDiv Composer. After that I noticed that Images are loaded very late in page. Now, the main problem is; when I turn on my Cache plug-in (which is WP Fastest Cache Premium) images doesn’t seem at all nowhere; front page, post page, widgets, blocks, slider literally nowhere. Now, what can you suggest me?
Hi,
The newspaper theme is not displaying the photos at the set size (full, medium, thumbnail, custom size). None of these settings are changing the way the photos are displayed. The photos are displayed at full width and cropped height.
The theme is up to date, the cache is deleted and purged.
Please help me to fix this issue ASAP!
Thank you!
Francesco
yes probably is w 3 total cache, i have deleted cache and now works well.
If I replace it with wp super cache (more compatible with newspaper I suppose) Should I not have this problem? thanks
Dear Support,
I m using WP Super Cache on my website.I think that this plugin it works ok but I have this error below in newspaper theme system status :
No caching plugin detected – for best performance we recommend using WP Super Cache.
Is it normal ? I make test on cache test and everything works ok.
Ps: Scalahosting said me : That issue shouldn’t be caused by a server configuration. At least no errors or anything else related is being logged on the server. Maybe you could try to contact the plugin’s author in case there are any server requirements.
Could you please help me?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Andreas
Hi Simion,
Thanks – have deleted and reinstalled both visual composter and all theme plugins direct from the theme package – social counter is now displaying correctly again, however instagram follower count is now showing 0. I don’t have any cache plugins. Host has cloudfare, have disabled that and rechecked – no change.
Will email now.
Thanks for the follow-up via mail. To sum-up the problem:
If on td_first_install.php I use the code
// empty -> any version
if (!empty($td_db_version)) {
// wp_parse_args format
$args = array(
'post_type' => array('page', 'post'),
'numberposts' => '10',
'offset' => 0,
'orderby' => 'post_date',
'order' => 'DESC',
'meta_query' => array(
'relation' => 'OR',
array('key' => 'td_homepage_loop_filter'),
array('key' => 'td_unique_articles'),
array('key' => 'td_smart_list'),
array('key' => 'td_review')
),
'update_post_term_cache' => false,
);
I get the error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/laplayst/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_first_install.php on line 313
which refers to the line
foreach ($td_review[0] as $filter_key => $filter_value) {
I am not sure where the error is, I am running PHP 5.6 and even if my plugins are disabled the problem persists.
I know it’s the weekend but I hope someone will be able to help before the beginning of next week đ

You might fully disable and clear *all* caching which needs to be done with any major theme change/update — 8x is totally new, so if you end up loading old CSS via cache on server and/or browser, stuff will not work right.
Also worth
a) resave permalinks
b) clear all transients with WP-Optimize
c) force clear all cache in browser (e.g., Chrome)
Hang in there !
(I don’t work here.)
Hi Catalin,
I think the problem does not have to do with other plugins, as you mentioned. The problem occurs when I edit a post with VC and the file has a parameter “Row stretch” with the value “Default” (See screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/aY6kylZ4V.png), the text of the post gets into the column sidebar (here you can see screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/aYessU1TD.png) that is the problem.
I’ve emptied the cache and disabled the plugins. But the problem is solved if I change the parameter “Row stretch” to “Stretch row and content”, in both rows of the text and the image gallery (which is how it is now because I changed the parameter “Row stretch” in The two rows to “Stretch row and content.” What I think is, that “Default” should do this Do not you think? For me it is a bug and what are working badly are your plugins and not others.
Thanks and best regards
Hello LGA2017,
After you have added the code in the custom CSS box, try to clear all the caches and check the results. Also, you should try to add the !important tag after each rule and see how it happens.
If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-n information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide the link to this page so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for the message!
Hello solidoes,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause this problem. My advice is to remove all of these, leave just TD Composer to active, clear all the caches and check the results. This is the first steps on debugging in WordPress. If the problem is still there, you should try making a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
