Hi,
Please try as a first step to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and check to see if the problem is still there. Also check any custom code you might have entered in theme panel, or added to the theme files. If you use a child theme try switching to the main theme, because this could affect the functionality. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
I have adopted newspaper theme days before. After moving i have one serious error with category pages. Each category page usually showing Ooops… Error 404 message.
I am using “web 2.0 directory shortcodes” classifieds plugin with my site boolokam.com.
NB: I have resaved permalink and cleared cache also. No change 🙁
I have added an image and gave it a custom Class “eww_profileImage”. I then added the following custom CSS in the Mobile Theme settings in the Theme Panel.
eww_profileImage {
border-radius: 150px;
}
To be clear this is the custom code in the Mobile Theme tab not the Custom code for the site which I am aware there is a difference.
I click save from the Theme Panel, I cleared my cache, I reloaded the page on my mobile phone and nothing changed… I loaded this on my desktop browser and made turned on the mobile option in the dev tools so that the mobile site would load. I then confirmed that the image did have the class showing but the custom CSS is nowhere to be found. Could you please let me know if I am not doing something correctly?
Thanks,
Hello icRogehT,
I have tested on my side and the color seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/kUj01pt8jp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/apGg3x6JSrV Clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
For example, try to acces this page https://bucharestjournal.ro/category/recomandari/
Same happens with every article on the site.
It loads in 7+seconds.
I got cache plugin and I have tryed to deactivate all plugins on site and I still have the same problem.
Hello Iain,
Unfortunately, this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support and custom implementation for this plugin, sorry! As you can know, our tested caching plugin is WP Super Cache which work as expected with the theme.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, Bogdan. For some reason that’s still not working for me. I deleted the website cache and the Chrome browser cache before I tested it. I also tried deleting the !important which sometimes creates errors for me (don’t know why). That didn’t do it either.
Is the problem that the General Theme Colors setting that I have set to the background color for the entire site is overriding the custom coding you gave me?
Thanks.
Hello,
This is not a question but explanations about how to fix a problem.
The sticky menu and smart sidebar was not working with W3 Total Cache when minification was enabled.
I found a solution to fix the problem and I just wanted to share it with other users who could be experiencing the issue.
In the Minify settings page, find the “Never minify the following JS files” field and add this line : wp-content/themes/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js
Then click on the “save settings and purge cache” button.
After that, the cache plugin will not minify the JS file and the sticky menu and the smart sidebar will work as expected.
Have a nice day
Hello wash,
I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with your mobile menu on the desktop version. This type of errors happens due to your memory cache or server cache. Try to clear all of this and also, if you are using some untested plugins, disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Glad you solved it.
We recommend using wp super cache as well as seo by yoast using the OG image provided by the plugin for facebook sharing.
Thank you!
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Well if it worked before and the problem is only for the homepage, maybe some recent changes are interfering with the ads. Please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache, enter your code in the ad box element and check to see if the problem is still there. Also check your ad code to be valid, you could test it in other ad spots to see if the problem is with the code.
Thanks
Hi,
@rosaline Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it and try to give you a solution in this matter. Usually this is the result of a plugin or plugin conflict, so try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and check to see if the problem remains.
Thanks
Hi,
I have some issues with my site. It loads extremely slow and have some problem with the data base.
I have installed WP super cache, but after the issues start I installed Autoptimize also and made some changes in .htaccess file for gzip compresion and leverage browser caching. I also stop wp-cron job and activate cPanel cron job for the site.
Unfortunately that didn’t help and my site is still slow if load, because sometimes it do not load and give Error in database connection or 500 internal server error…
I contacted my VPS provider and they answered me that it is theme issue.
The theme is written in a way that each time somebody visit the site to perform the calculation of posts due to pagination on the site. The exact MySQL query is:
//
SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wpvr_posts.ID FROM wpvr_posts INNER JOIN wpvr_postmeta ON ( wpvr_posts.
//
And said that this calculation every time overloading the server.
I thought that it is because I have thousand of posts and on the home page is loading “Recent post” with pagination and that way I have changed Hime page to default template and now I haven’t pagination on home page, but the problem is still exist…
Would you have any idea what is the problem and how to resolve it?
My site is: http://petrichnews.info/
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
All the best,
Ivan
I enabled WP super cache and also the speed booster plugin. Also did the recommended settings in the Cloudfare. But I am still getting only a score of only 25 in page speed. Can you please help
When I was using WP Rocket as a caching plugin i was getting much better scores and loading times too.
Hi,
Please provide some examples and more details of the problems you are having with the Buddy press plugin so we can investigate this issue. Maybe you have some other plugins that could be interfering, so try to deactivate all the plugins except Visual composer and Buddy Press, clear the cache and check again.
Thanks
Hello,

Hello,
We do not see 2 avatars on our end. You could be facing with a plugin compatibility issue caused by other plugins. Please revert your custom modifications (make a back-up before) and disable all other plugins except visual composer and buddypress, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again. If you still have issues with it, please provide a link so we can inspect it.
Thank you!
Hello,
Those are visual composer shortcodes you are seeing. I cannot see the error on your site though. I do see a plugin conflict as your mega menu will not open due to a js error. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Unfortunately I do not see the shortcodes on your page not in desktop and not in mobile.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check and increase if needed the parameters mentioned in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ because this could affect the theme functionality. Also disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and try again to enter the ad code in theme panel and save. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi Catalin,
The issue appears to be with wpengine’s forced caching. They are going to look at a fix but I would be interested to hear from anyone else who uses wpengine to see if they have had this issue. A similar thing is happening with the eventon plugin’s filtering options. Works when logged in but not when logged out and as wpengine don’t cache when you are logged in, it appears to be the issue.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
It is a strange issue indeed based on what you are describing, and I do not know what could be interfering with the like button. Each post has a unique permalink created, but I do not know how this could affect the Facebook like and I can not replicate this issue. I still suspect the cache being responsible for this, or maybe a plugin, or custom code added to the theme files. But at last, glad you were able to solve this problem.
Thanks
Hello,
@mbjayasekara unfortunately we have not tested wp-rocket so i cannot say for sure if it will work properly or not. We recommend WP super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
@rudy_roth
For google analytics you can use the theme panel section destined for this type of tracking: https://www.screencast.com/t/L4petf7ZCCR
Thank you!
Hello Vadiraj Prasad,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the autotomize plugin, right? Also, I have notice that you have some js errors and warnings through your Console which can cause this issue with your logo bar on mobile. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello nikyneg,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your Social Counter work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/G7NmJz3Q Try to clear all your caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
