Hello @ptec1,

Unfortunately we have not tested the theme with wp-engine’s CDN so I can’t give you any guidings on this and can’t provide a precise answer or guarantee it will work.

Theme’s bad functionality when using cdn may occur due to its configuration. As Chris also pointed we have tested and offered a cdn configuration for Cloudflare’s CDN so you could check our guidings on its configuration and make sure you use similar settings for your wp-engine CDN, this may solve your problem.

I suggest you also try this without plugins as this may also occur due to other plugins.

Let us know if you need any additional informations concerning the theme on this. You can also address this to wp engine’s support as they may have a solution for this.

Hope you’ll find this useful!

Thank you!

Hello,
There is no such bug we are aware of. If there truly was a major bug in our theme, then this forum would have been flooded with messages on this matter. The fonts were thoroughly tested and they do not change upon page refresh. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test fonts again. The general font setting for modules and blocsk changes the general font for all elements to the desired one. It has the same effect as switching all of the options below it to another font.
The fonts and col,or scheme are affected by cache so please clear your cache after you change these settings. Another thing to do is make sure you have your system status parameters in order by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

I guess the docs are saying that if you’re loading the posts off of a CDN then the theme cannot “count” which posts are most popular as not being loaded locally, so the “most popular” function won’t work.

TagDiv wlll be back Monday 🙂

Hi,

I should say I use wp-engine with their CDN so that does not help.
Thank’s
Paul.

CDN’s work the samw with all WordPress themes, it’s not specific to this single theme.

However the theme docs might be useful:

Hi,
I use (tagDiv) Block 1, and it was working fine displaying my post radome But then I changed to using a CDN to speed up my website now the Radome post has stopped working and just stay on the same post even when I clean catch.
Is there a way of showing different post when using a CDN on my website I see on your(tagDiv) Block 1 widget it says”How to sort the posts. Notice that Popular (last 7 days) option is affected by caching plugins and CDNs. For popular posts, we recommend the jetpack (24-48hrs) method” But I’M not sure how to do it what’s the best way to go.
Paul..

a) make sure you fully cleared cache in site/cdn and browser
b) make sure you have enough memory allocated to WP in your wp-config.php file (default 40MB not enough to use Visual Composer!)
c) make sure you don’t have conflicting plugin causing javascript errors in your browser (see: F12/console in Chrome or Edge)
d) most often if changes are seen in the admin panel, but not on the site it’s a caching issue, where the original version pre-change still being shown or cached in your browser

(( I don’t work here … ))

Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Plugins are the number one reason for this kind of issues.
If the problem is still there without plugins, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect the problem.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. This will rule out a plugin conflict. Also if you have any modification made to the theme files, try to do a back-up and reset the theme to it;s default state.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,
The main problem with thumbs not showing is this one you have in the console: http://screencast.com/t/6WFhil3rd
JS errors break the lazyload animation. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn. Plugin conflicts are the number one reason for js errors. These can also be caused by custom modification not done properly.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,
You did not provide a link to your website so we can actually see the error but I assume it’s the same cdn error lots of people have: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!

Usually clearing cache helps in both site/cdn, browser.

Also, possibly use “regenerate thumbnails” can help also.

That is not “normal” for most sites, but can sometimes happen depending on how your site/server is setup.

Hi

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using and test again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.

Thanks!

Hello,
I have checked again and only on firefox I could see the missing images. This issue is caused by a javascript error that conflicts with the lazyload animation from our theme. Usually it’s a plugin conflict. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then check your images again. If this originates from another source and it’s not a plugin conflict (maybe custom code) then you can either revert the theme to it’s default state or disable the lazyload effect from here: http://screencast.com/t/r91bybuXP
Thank you!

Hello,
After you disable plugins, please also clear cache and reset cdn to make sure they are properly removed. Then test again. If plugins are not the cause, then also check your memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/system+status/
Also if you have custom modification of the theme files, check them again and restore the theme to it’s default state. You can also update your theme to the latest version.
If none of these do the trick then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can investigate this issue. Please also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks.

Hello,
Usually css issues are caused by plugin incompatibility. Please try to disable all your plugins excerpt visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your 404 page again.
If the problem is still there without plugins please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it.
Thank you!

If you look at the style.css file it does say v 6.7

Obviously you need to clear your cache prior to upload, then clear cache after update in both site/cdn (as applicable) and browser.

You can often “over-write” in place, however this can sometimes lead to confusion if there are files removed and no longer used. Deleting old folder and upload new one is best practice, and that’s how WP does it when installing its own content.

Up to you – if it WORKS for you, then keep doing it. If not, do it the clean (proper?) way of deleting old folder(s), upload new ones.

Often you can do this in place without changing to Twenty Sixteen first if your transients work properly, as if done quickly, you’re hiding the update from WP while you do it. Then when you login it automagically is loading the new files (transients are mini-caches).

Good luck all!

Hello,
I have tested this on my end again but it still works as expected. Please make sure you save your changes and update your post. If certain settings from the back-end do not apply on your end, please try to increase your system status parameters by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can also test this without any plugins to rule out any conflicts. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. It’s most likely a plugin conflict that interferes with the css.

Hello,
We are not aware of any VC bug. This plugin is required by the theme and is bundled with the theme package. It was tested on every level to work with our theme. Please try to disable all other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test VC again. Please make sure you only install the plugin from here: http://screencast.com/t/eOUcAPnx . If you still cannot get it to work, please provide more details to your issue and a link to your website so we can inspect the error.
Thank you!

Hello,
It is always recommended to use the visual composer version that comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/eOUcAPnx
Please only use this version. if for some reason this version does not work on your end, please remove all other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. The plugin is included in the theme package and it works with the theme as it was meant to.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,
BBpress has it’s own breadcrumbs and I’m not sure how they are not displaying on your end as people usually have trouble removing them (they had to delete parts of the code from the plugin files to do it). Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and bbpress, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check the breadcrumbs again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Theme doesn’t load jquery from the site you’re linking to, it loads it enqueued as part of the theme and is loaded from WordPress install as part of WP or from Google CDN

so, if modernmettalurgical is not your site, then you either got hacked or you mis-installed your theme somehow.

Meaning if your site is xingato.com, then jqery should load from
<script type='text/javascript' src='http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js'></script>

So, not sure how you got jquery to load from somewhere else unless you changed it ?

Why are you loading stuff off modernmetallurgical if that’s not your site ? If you copied the theme from somebody or if it’s a pirate version that might be the cause. Was unable to view source on a demo page which is also not normal.

Check the page source for the theme demo to see where jquery should be loading from.

So, man, I guess I misunderstand what the hell you have going on over there.

TagDiv will likely follow up but looks like you don’t have your site configured properly and you may wish to do a clean install from proper download from ThemeForest account, and disable some of the wonky things you have running like sandboxed iframe, hiding page source, etc., that are not needed (you realize anybody can just capture the code loaded into browser which bypasses turning off the view source function, right?

Anyway, I don’t work here, so sorry for butting in. 🙂
