Hi TagDiv Support Team,

I am experiencing a persistent error with TagDiv Composer on my website (hosted on SiteGround). Every time I try to edit or create a page—even a completely fresh, empty page—I get the following error:
“Layout sync error in Content. The editor expects 6 zones but the page is rendering 5.”

Here is what I have already checked and verified to isolate the issue:

PHP Version: The server is running on PHP 8.2.31.

Memory Limits: I have already increased limits in wp-config.php (WP_MEMORY_LIMIT set to 512M).

Plugins & Cache: The issue persists even on blank pages, with no third-party caching/minification conflicts.

System Status: In my Newspaper System Status panel, I noticed a warning regarding mod_substitute being active on Apache (“may cause a timeout error on TD Composer”). I tried tweaking the .htaccess file with SubstituteMaxLineLength and SubstituteEngine Off, but the error remains.

Since it happens even on blank pages, it’s definitely not an unclosed HTML tag in the content. Could you please let me know how to fix this rendering/sync conflict on PHP 8.2 / SiteGround?

Thank you,
Sara

Hi,

If the thee is active with a key, and you want to use a new one, the old key can be reset using this option from the theme system status panel -> https://prnt.sc/N05aFSuSC0-r Then you can activate the theme with the new key. Please try it.

Thank you!

Hi,
I’m having an issue with the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin on Newspaper 12.7.6.

When I install it from the Newspaper → Plugins panel, the installation completes successfully, but the plugin folder only contains:

common/

Newspaper/

td-standard-pack.php

tdsp_version_check.php

There are no module folders such as:

modules/

shortcodes/

templates/

assets/

includes/

As a result, TagDiv Composer only shows the legacy video blocks.

I also downloaded the ZIP directly from the URL shown during installation, and it contains the same minimal stub files.

My Newspaper license is active and assigned to adultswimcentral.com, and all system status checks are OK.

Could you please push the full Standard Pack module bundle to my domain or provide a direct download link?

Thanks!

I buy 2 Licenses
But All my old Domains has died
I wwant to use License from Died Domain to a New Domain
But it shows:
An issue has been encountered while trying to validate your license key
Please reset the key from the System status tab and try to activate it again, or contact our customer support team at contact@tagdiv.com.

If you don’t have a valid license key, you can get one now and continue to enjoy the full benefits of this great product.

Hello
After a DDoS attack where my provider was manipulating IP addresses, we discovered something was wrong with the license.
On the System Status page, a screenshot shows the license is OK.
Screenshot 1
Screenshot_1
But on the My License page, the associated keys are missing and can’t be added. However, the registration entry is there and it’s green.
Screenshot 2
Screenshot 2
And now the website displays a red warning.

Please advise what to do. Thank you.

Hi,

@shehzan

In this topic we were discussing an issue specifically related to the theme system status panel not loading, meaning this page -> https://prnt.sc/yg6rurXpB9RZ

If you changed the PHP version and there are problems, there can be all kinds of causes. The newer theme versions works fine with even PHP 8.4. Are you using older theme versions perhaps? If I check the website where I believe you are using the theme, I see it uses Newspaper 8, which is from 10 years ago. Please also update the theme.

Thank you!

The data I mentioned is not in files. The data is kept in tables in the database.

I don’t think it’s the data from socials because that can’t get out of control.

Are you using any video playlists on the website? https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/ Although these should also not get out of control.

Are you using the block cache from the theme on any blocks? https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/ Normally this works with transients, and they are automatically cleared when new ones are created. There could be cases when the transients aren’t getting removed automatically and they pile up.

Then all that’s left is a log for debugging, which is disabled by default. I suggest starting with this. In the database, in the wp_options table, search for an option name called td_011_log like this https://prnt.sc/REaK59LeuNFW Delete that log https://prnt.sc/UUIL1VFCvErj Then check the system status panel to see if it loads.
Please be sure to search for and delete that exact table, td_011_log Not anything else. If you maybe have a staging site clone test it there first. Or if you try it on the main website, then please make a full database backup before doing anything.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, clearing the browser cache or the theme cache doesn’t fix the issue in my case. All plugins are already updated, including Classic Editor, Yoast, and others. The problem appeared immediately after updating WordPress to 7.0 and PHP to 8.2/8.3, and it persists regardless of cache or plugin updates.

Everything on the frontend works correctly — only the System Status panel fails to load and returns a critical error. This suggests that the issue is not related to caching, but to something inside the theme’s System Status module itself.

Rolling back WordPress is not an option on this installation, so I need to identify the exact cause.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide cPanel or full server access, as the website runs on a dedicated machine with restricted access. However, I can check anything you need directly on the server if you tell me exactly what files, folders, or logs you want me to inspect to confirm your assumptions about the System Status panel.

Could you please specify:

– which directory or file you expect to contain the oversized data (YouTube cache, socials data, debug logs, etc.)?

– the exact path or filename you want me to verify?

– what size threshold or anomaly you want me to look for?

If direct server access is required only to inspect those elements, I can retrieve the information manually and send it to you.

Also, please let me know if admin access to the WordPress dashboard alone would be enough for you to diagnose the issue, or if server‑level access is absolutely necessary.

Thank you!

Hi,

The system status panel loads a few things, like data related to socials that are connected in the theme, the YouTube video cache, a log for debugging. All this data is small usually. But if the panel is not loading then it could mean that it’s size got out of control somehow.

I’ll have to investigate it on the website. Do you have cPanel or something similar? Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with admin access to the website and also to cPanel. I will check as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Hi,
after updating WordPress to the latest version and updating PHP on my server, the System Status page in the Newspaper theme stopped working.

Instead of showing the theme version and server information, I get this message:

“There has been a critical error on this website.”

Everything else works correctly:

the frontend works without issues

the Theme Panel loads

the website is fully functional

Only System Status is broken.

My environment:

Newspaper: 12.7.6 (the latest version available on ThemeForest)

WordPress: latest version

PHP: recently updated (likely 8.2 or 8.3)

No other changes were made

The issue appeared immediately after the WP + PHP update

Disabling cache/security plugins does not fix the issue

It seems that the System Status module in Newspaper 12.7.6 is not fully compatible with the newest WordPress/PHP versions.

Questions:

Is Newspaper 12.7.6 fully compatible with the latest WordPress and PHP 8.2/8.3?

Is this a known issue affecting the System Status module?

Is there a recommended PHP version (e.g., 8.1) for Newspaper 12.7.6?

Will there be an update to restore compatibility?

Hi,
thank you for your reply.
I enabled the debug log and this is the error that appears when I try to open Newspaper > System status:

[11-May-2026 08:34:00 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 81920 bytes) in /home/nqzkwvud/public_html/wp-includes/class-wpdb.php on line 2328

The current PHP memory limit is already set to 512 MB.
The page was working correctly about two weeks ago. The issue appears only when opening the System status section.
Could you please let me know I should proceed?

Good morning,
I’m writing because, when accessing the WordPress dashboard and trying to open the Newspaper > System status section, a critical error appears and the page does not load.

The message displayed is the following:
“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
The WordPress version currently installed is 6.9.4, while the Newspaper theme is updated to version 12.7.5.

I am also attaching a screenshot of the page. Could you please let me know what I can do to solve this issue?

Hello,

I am experiencing the “Layout sync error” (The editor expects 6 zones but the page is rendering 0) when trying to use tagDiv Composer on my homepage.

My hosting provider has already increased the server limits to meet your requirements, but the issue persists. Here is my current System Status:

PHP Version: 8.2

WP Memory Limit: 512M

PHP Max Input Vars: 5000 (Set in Plesk)

Max Execution Time: 300

Upload Max Filesize: 64M

Troubleshooting already done:

ModSecurity has been disabled.

AMP plugin is deactivated.

I tried creating a new page with “Page Builder Root” template, but the error remains.

Permalinks have been resaved.

Browser cache and theme CSS cache have been cleared.

Could you please help me identify what is blocking the editor from synchronizing the zones?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
If you have a new license key to replace the old one you need to go to Newspaper > System status and click on the reset key button. After that, use the new license key to activate the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/
Also, if it is anything related to the theme, let us know and we’ll guide you.
Thank you!

Hi,
The system status is OK. What you should do is resolve the issue with the image that was set to load in the cloud header menu as a background image. The image has been deleted from the media library, but it is still linked to some rows, which can cause loading speed issues.
Please follow my example: edit the homepage, select the header menu row, and check the CSS tab. Where the background image is set, click “Remove,” then save your changes – https://prnt.sc/iZ-izfb-0jyd

Hi,
To use the new license on clubtaxila.com and bookmasters.in, please follow these steps for each site separately:
– log in to the website.
– go to Newspaper > System Status.
– click “Reset Key” to remove the current license from the domain.
– after that, enter the new license key to activate the theme.
Let me know if you need any help!

Hi,
A license key can be used on a maximum of two domains. Once it has been activated on both, you may see a temporary restriction message that prevents assigning or unassigning the key for a certain period of time.
If you’ve obtained a new license key and want to replace the old one, please go to Newspaper > System Status in your dashboard and click the Reset Key button. Afterward, you can activate the theme using your new license key by following this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/

Calin

Hi,
A license key can be used on two domains: the main (live) domain and a staging domain. Assigning the key to a domain can be done the way you already did.
If you have a new license key that you want to use on a domain or staging site, please log in to that specific domain/staging site and go to Newspaper → System Status. There you will see which license key is currently assigned.
If the key shown there is not the one you want to use on that domain, click the Reset Key button and then enter the new license key you would like to activate for the theme on that domain.
Thank you!

I’m trying to build my website with the newspaper plugin and im getting the error: An issue has been encountered while trying to validate your license key. I have tried resetting key from the System status tab and activating it again, but it still didint work…

Currently, there are pages I can’t see, and the same thing happens with some items in the home menu. In both cases, it takes me directly to the footer.

I think it’s a configuration error. How can I fix it? I need help.

Also, I’m attaching screenshots of the system status in case you see any errors there that need to be corrected.

This is a matter of great concern to us because we’re losing traffic, and that’s damaging our reputation.

Thank you.

PD.- I’m trying to attach the screenshots but I don’t see where I can do it from.

When I load one of the prebuilt websites, I get a error message and they have checked on the server and its all good,

Error says tagdiv imported detects that your server is not properly configured. Dont worry, the importer will continue the demo after you click the OK button.

My system status is good, no issues. Anyone seen this, or is there support on this?

Calin

Hi,
To replace the current license key with the new one, you’ll need to connect on that domain and go to Newspaper > system status, there you’ll see a reset key button, click on that button and the current license key will be removed, after that use the new license key to activate the theme.

Normally a license key is for 1 website, please check the ThemeForest license specifications here – https://themeforest.net/licenses/standardhttps://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular -> https://prnt.sc/X0AldIM7e7ni
We allow the key to be used on 2 websites at the same time because we consider that most website owners require a testing website besides the live website, and the theme must be activated there as well.
If you used the license key on more than 2 domains, then it will require more license keys. Also, we can not interfere with the domains that are online and use the theme that has been activated with the license key.
