Hi,
You can try this version of Social Counter(it worked for some users) – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/td-social-counter.zip Just deactivate and delete the current plugin and install this version, then use another fb id(like tagdiv) see if it works and then revert to your id so you will refresh it.
We will change the Social Counter system and we hope to fix it as soon as possible, sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!

Hello @gopi, @kelvinchuks, @pdcryan
We are sorry for the inconvenience but Facebook changed a few things that made the social counter not work anymore. We know about the problem and our developers trying to solve this as soon as possible in near future.
Also, please update the social counter plugin by deleting your current one and installing the one that comes with the theme and you can try this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/td-social-counter.zip . I have tested on my side and works properly.
After this changes, if the problem is still there, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your log-in information so we can take a look at your page setup. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.
I hope this helps us let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello pmacreative,
Please try to disable all the active plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge CDN files if you have and try it again after this. The problems should disappear.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the massage!
If you say it works then it is probably something on my end (cdn configuration). I will look into it and report here later when I find out more. (Even now I think that I know what is the problem – probably the part where my cdn configuration ignores original headers. I’ll set it up not to ignore it) 🙂
Hi omar ahmed,
Please make sure that you have followed correct all the steps which I presented above. Also, try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all caches and purges all CDN files if you have and try it again. After this, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your log-in information so we can take a look at your page setup. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,
The Speedbooster plugin works with CDN. We use it on our demo with Cloudflare CDN and it works as expected: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Unfortunately the fact that it does not work on your end could be number of things. It depends on how you set up your CDN server. Please use another configuration and check speedbooster again.
Thank you!
Hello, I had this ‘thing’ forever, from start, when I changed the color in first place. The color that load first is black which lasts for less then half a second, and then it shows the right one.
The main reason for this are plugins similar to Speedbooster. When you send stuff to footer because you want your website to start rendering faster, then the css that shows other color then black in top menu bar is loaded after the default color.
So if you do not want this to happen then just deactivate or modify plugins similar to speedbooster.
For example you can even send the main css style from the theme to the footer. In this case your website will look broken for 200-300 ms.
After you make all this that I wrote, make sure to clear cache if you use caching plugin, or CDN.
Cheers
Hey, I noticed this but never really asked about it.
Speed booster plugin works. But it do not work with CDN. CDN seems to ignore everything that speedbooster do. It is completly useless while using CDN.
Any advice?
Hello,
I have checked your website and could not access it on windows phone at all. It works on android or ios. You may have some plugins that cause this behavior. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check your website again. Also clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it.
Thank you!
Well, seems like critical. I would suggest you to remember exact things that you did before you did an update.
Also write down exact steps on how did update go. This goes for plugins too. The exact procedure. This way you can find out what and where it went wrong.
DO you use cdn? If so make sure to flush cache from there too.
Also I noticed you use wordpress 4.2. Try updating it to 4.3.1 (latest version).
I have also noticed that shortcodes are not working too. This concerns all plugins, which means that all plugins are not activated, or your wordpress instalation and database is corupted.
Your website is very much unoptimized, gzip is not even used. Bad condition overall. 🙁
Thanks Alin
the follow file not compressed bad for page speed

is coming from facebook button…
have you never seen?
thanks
Hello,
Please make sure you update the theme properly. The FTP method is always the best one. You can follow this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please also disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN if you use it.
If the problem is still there afterwards, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your wp-admin credentials and FTP access so we can take a look and see where the error comes from.
Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hello,
The best way you can go about this is to access your files via FTP and manually install the theme. Delete the old one and upload the new version. You can follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Also make sure you clear your cache, remove any plugins and purge CDN files if you use it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
how I have to change in code to specify follow image dimensions with last 6.6 version?
themes/Newspaper/images/icons/ico-video-large.png (Dimensions: 40 x 40) (5 uses)
uploads/2015/06/logo1.png (Dimensions: 140 x 48)
uploads/2015/10/logo2.png (Dimensions: 150 x 29)
uploads/2015/11/logo3.png (Dimensions: 272 x 52)
Moreover PageSpeed always tells me to compress this file that dramatically decreases the score
https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2/yw/r/J5Fiy3B5kJ5.js
is it an error of page speed or i can change something to solve?
Thanks
Hello,
Please try it without plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer to rule out a plugin conflict. You can also clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it. Also if you use jetpack, please disable the photon feature as it is known to cause errors.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m facing slow response time even though all the best practices possible are used to speed up the website (caching, minification, good and stable hosting, cloudfront CDN…).
On this hosting I host several other websites with other themes and all work fine. For a test purpose I tried running the website on other hosting and behaves the same.
Can you please advise?
Hi Robby and Thanks Chris!
I’ve also replied you via email on this and checked your site there and didn’t see the problem you initially reported and I wasn’t aware of your posts here so it my reply was a bit off of this topic.
At this point I’m not aware why this occurred however concerning theme altering the .htaccess file I can tell you that it doesn’t so this may happened due to a plugin you use. I see you lots of plugins and among them you have the Easy Updates Manager one which I believe it’s responsible for auto updates. We haven’t tested this plugin with the theme so I’m not aware if its functionality and it may be possible not to work well with the theme and generate issues. In this scope we have tested and provided the solution to use the Envato Toolkit plugin to manage theme’s auto updates, you can find a guide on this here: http://screencast.com/t/EZ0YVDIo – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ ( this is made for the newspaper theme but the update process works in the same manner for newsmag theme also).
The latest theme available is version 2.3.1 – http://themeforest.net/item/newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper/9512331
If you decide to update it, considering all customization you now have we advise you to do a full backup of your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and also consider the steps I’ve provide below:
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services
Hope this helps
Thanks!
Hello,
Please try this without any plugins. Disable all your plugins except visual composer and check pagination again. You can also clear your cache and purge your CDN files if you use it.
Let us know if the problem is still there.
Thank you!
The all new version of YOAST may have some bugs; hence the inevitable 3.01 dot update and likely further dot updates from Yoast. Likely good to go BACK to prior version for the moment.
New version of Yoast using various JavaScript things now in place of dbase things.
Likely major clearing of caches/CDN reset will be required.
Hi
If checked this post: http://truelifefitness.ca/have-a-little-faith-willing-yourself-into-shape/ and the image link is correct now, however you have a js error in console: http://screencast.com/t/KRViBYvr3 This may occur because you’re using a minified js. We don’t recommend using the minify option for js and css also because we had numerous theme issues reported and the vast majority of them proved to occur because of minified js/css or when using CDN host services which can deliver old file content if not used right.
Try do deactivate the js minifications, clear all caches and test again.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have checked your website and it seems your pages looses all their styling. Please disable all your pl;ugins except visual composer and revert all minifications css and js. Also clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
To improve your site performance you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load). By removing the ajax drop-down filter, content preloading and ajax pagination: http://screencast.com/t/gG1jdJsjT – http://screencast.com/t/NkM3ldIDEqY the number of queries it will be significantly reduced. Also consider using a cache plugin and to improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html We also use it on our demo. If you haven’t already, you can try a caching plugin, like WP Super Cache or cloudflare’s CDN.
You can also contact your host provider and let them know about this, they might have specific info on what is the cause of this in your case.
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hello,
Normally the theme crops 16:9 images as well as you can see in this screen: http://screencast.com/t/Sv07Wooz6
I used one of your images as featured image in a test grid.
I inspected your website and saw a part of the code that does not come from the theme: http://screencast.com/t/xqVrvg1ucVp Please make sure you do not use any image/thumbnail plugins.(Disable photon from jetpack as it is known to cause issues with our theme)
Please disable all your plugins, clear your cache and purge your cdn files. Then regenerate your thumbnails and see how it goes.
If the problem is still there afterwards please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can take a look. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.
Thank you!
