Hi,
The background color appears until the images from the articles that have been set as featured images are loaded.
What you could do is force that background color with css, please check that css>
.td-big-grid-post .td-module-thumb {
background: transparent;
}
.td-grid-style-1 .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before {
background: transparent;
}

The first one will remove the gray color and the second one is for the gradient set on post titles.
The css needs to be set in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
Thank you!

Hello,

Please check the console when you try to save the changes made in Theme Panel maybe is possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!

Hello!

Then this file cannot be overwritten with the child theme.
Make the modification directly on the code, save and replace it after the update.

Thank you!

Hi,

If you need to make an update, before please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
The child theme is used if you made changes in the theme files.

Thank you!

Hello!
It is not clear to me whether it is possible to update the theme without using a child theme so that the page does not fall apart?
If I just install the main theme and update, will there be no problem? With other WP themes, this does not work without a child theme, the page falls apart in the event of an update, it can only be solved with a child theme to prevent this from happening.

Hello,

If you have made changes in the theme files, then when you update the theme the files are overwritten. Usually, the changes are saved in the child theme.
Also, please try not to reply multiple times in the topic/email if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic/email date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest.

Thank you!

You can use this custom code css
.tdb_single_content .tdb-block-inner > p:first-child
{
font-family: Lato!important;
}

Set the code in the theme panel -> custom code -> custom css.

Hello, we have sent an email 3 days ago to contact@tagdiv.com, but we haven’t received a reply.

My name is Olivian Breda.

We want to change the template on:
https://www.culturavietii.ro/2010/10/13/testarea-pe-embrion/

to match a new web site, we are working here:
https://www.culturavietii.ro/zzz-test/
(password to view the website is:

)

You can login here:
https://www.culturavietii.ro/zzz-test/wp-admin/
em3ze
(password sent via email)

We want to install Newspaper theme.

I think it has already been installed on
https://www.culturavietii.ro/

, but we can’t work in there, as it’s a live website. We duplicated CulturaVieții to Test and we want to work there.

Could you please help us activate the theme on
https://www.culturavietii.ro/zzz-test/

, so that we can work on the website, and, at the end, transfer the child theme to:
https://www.culturavietii.ro
?

We want to put Newspaper with the template Rimont pro.

Thank you!

Have a good day!

Hi. Noticed a few issues, recently.

1. Post pages have a bunch of white space and basically, just misaligned all over the place.
2. Related, there is no front-end edit option on the post pages. There is a normal looking page and tagdiv option for normal pages, though.
3. Further related: I used to see a hover option to edit with tagdiv from the backend. No longer seeing this.

Finally, I have done some tweaking with toggling parent/child theme activations, post type template toggles with no change as far as resolution. Site and theme plugins are all updated.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

I have a client that wants to update a website that runs Newspaper 8.0, but the theme files are edited and there’s no child theme.

I would need a copy of the original theme files for comparing them and bring the changes to a child theme. Is there a repository of the theme versions? Can you send me a copy of Newspaper 8.0 original code?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

Please try to upload the link in the media and add it to the style css file.
You can try to use the child theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Also, the option from the theme panel is for woff, not woff2.

Thank you!

Hello,
That element is on this path wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/single/tdb_single_author_box.php and you can edit it from there, unfortunately, the problem is that the cloud templates can not be set in a child theme, also, there is no possibility to use the tagDiv COmposer on that element to achieve what you need, sorry! The only possibility is to make the changes in the theme files after each update.
Thank you!

My site uses a custom author box with includes
* additional usermeta fields (e.g. company name, author rank)
* a user badge that displays only for authors with certain metadata

You can see an example at https://customerthink.com/author/clearaction/.

This was easily accomplished by overriding loop-single via a Newsletter child theme.

Now I’m trying to use TagDiv Composer which has a Single Post Author Box, but it doesn’t include the info/logic I need.

I’ve searched and can’t find a way to either
a) create a new custom element that I can use TagDiv Composer to manage, or
b) customize/override the existing author box element.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Anamaria,

Ok I just take child theme from “code” folder in a package, I took these files from this tutorial :
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

And ok, but my front page now is blank?, what now!

sorry really but i don’t understand, why there is no full tutorial or much better full package for a child theme, is this so hard to make or what?

I’m still having a problem with this!
