Hello!

The only one solution for customization is to use a cloud template.

Documentation here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/

Check also our video tutorials here: https://www.youtube.com/c/tagdivThemes/videos

You can import any cloud templates from any demos you like from the Cloud Templates and assign it on your website, or you can build them from scratch by importing a blank template(in order to make it editable with the Composer).

Thank you!

Hi,

In some cases there are such issues, but generally that is the case with other themes as well. Newspaper and Newsmag are somewhat similar, it can be said that Newsmag is a Newspaper theme without the cloud library plugin, and with a more limited composer.

I see that you mention in another topic that the server you are using has 1GB of memory, that is insufficient even for a testing/staging website, with no traffic. At least 2GB of memory should be used, as the minimum. That is most likely the cause of all the problems.

I had a similar case recently, and after updating the server with another 1GB of memory, everything stabilized and worked perfectly. In my opinion nothing else that you can do or try will solve the problem, or maybe only very little, except adding more memory to the server, which may mean that you will have to choose a higher hosting plan, it usually does.

The composer is basically the theme, deactivating it is like deactivating the theme. The resources usage will drop when deactivating the composer, but testing this way doesn’t mean much if I may say so. Maybe it will be better with the Newsmag theme, but I suggest investing in better hosting if possible, especially since you already built the website with Newspaper.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hello @mojopatrakar!

Please use a single cloud post template and not a standard one. We recommend to use cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Documentation here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/

Make sure your header and footer template are set as Global in the Cloud Templates. In this way, they will appear on every page.
You have to create only a new page Home and set it like this: https://prnt.sc/b5bxSIJQum5V in the WordPress Settings.
We have cloud templates for articles, category, tag, etc. which you can assign directly to any page.

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB; there you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

You can choose to use whichever one is more affordable and useful for you.

For the option 1 and 2, you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin.

You can easily edit the cloud header and footer by editing the homepage with the Tagdiv Composer(scroll down in the editor to see the footer section).

Hi

https://capsulenz.com/

I upgraded to 6.0.2 and since then have been getting a critical error.

These are the latest in a long list of errors (first error refers to tag-cloud-library)
https://gyazo.com/11cb30946ccc36b93495c150ef2a8cb8

I deactivated all plugins (including Newspaper ones) and turned them back on one at a time. The issue happens when Newspaper Newsletter plugin is on.

The other thing that is happening is infinite processing when I change a page details (name, slug etc) it just sits there processing and doesn’t confirm the change.

Can you please assist getting this resolved? You already have access I believe. Thank you!

Hello @zelda!

Try it in the same way. Line 44139 of the td-cloud-libraryincludestdb_config.php file contains this one for menu header.

Hello @nannumaniya!

If you use cloud templates, then you can easily customize and change the pagination or disable it with the TagDiv Composer. If you use default templates, then there are no possibilities. That’s why we recommend using cloud templates.

Hello @tdaplyn!

Unfortunately, with old-style templates, it is not possible to have different post templates per category.
But, you can have different single post cloud templates for your categories.
This is possible only with cloud templates.
We recommend to use cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Hello @HakProDesigns!

You can choose to assign the old cloud template that you used before: https://prnt.sc/c8xmKp8RyvnH Or you can choose a default template from the theme panel: https://prnt.sc/GU3lBcqO2Oyi
If you had default templates, then the settings will remain in the theme panel and you should only choose no template and your old style as described above.
Note: You should install a demo without content, so in this case your content won’t be changed.
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:

Hello

I am editing my site design. But I’m having a lot of trouble with the tagdiv cloud library. I just downloaded a homepages template from tagDiv Cloud Library. Now I want to delete the template and return to my old design. But I can’t delete it. I have reviewed the articles you have published many times. But there is no global single post templates box on my homepage. I leave the screenshot below. Please help me solve this problem. I need you so much right now.

Hi,

By default the rows from the composer have 1068px in width, that is the default setting https://i.imgur.com/uuwcpFo.png

Then rows can be stretched if needed, to the provided values. I assume that by decreasing the margins of the page you mean increasing the width of the content. This will indeed reduce the margins, as the content is larger. So you could stretch the rows in the page.

If you want a width value that is not available for selecting, stretch the rows to full and set your desired value here https://i.imgur.com/MDgzWje.png Every row, column, or element from the composer has a width setting in the CSS tab, also margins and padding can be set there if needed. It depends on what exactly you want to achieve in the page.

You could check out some of our pages from the cloud library https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Homepages
If you like a layout, or find one that is similar to what you want to do, you could import the page and customize it. Or let me know and I will explain how it is built.

Thank you!

Hi,

On large websites with lots of content and high traffic most themes will struggle. In a way it is expected, a traffic spike for example can cause problems for the duration. Deactivating the composer is practically deactivating the theme, the composer is the theme basically.

To try and see if there is an improvement in the matter, I suggest reducing or removing temporarily the number of ajax pagination used.
For example https://i.imgur.com/ImkD7Qz.png Or replace that block with a post loop element and use numbered pagination.
Or here in the post page https://i.imgur.com/DTBWoxi.png Or anywhere else where ajax pagination is used. Try it as a test if possible.

Also maybe consider using either the cloud library plugin, or the standard pack plugin. Use one or the other, and deactivate the one you are not using. This is why we separated the theme options in 2 plugins, to try and improve the performance, assuming only one of them is used.

Cleaning the database periodically/regularly if possible does wonders as well. There are plugins that can be do this on a schedule even, like this one I believe https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-database-cleaner/

Also if possible, and you haven’t already, I suggest using PHP 8. There should be quite a difference in performance between for example PHP 7.4 and 8.

Our developer team have improved the composer drastically since it was introduced a few years ago. Maybe not every update contains improvements, but the next in line surely will. They will try to optimize it further.

Thank you!

Hi,

The option should still be there. If you have a mobile page set for the homepage for example, it can be edited with the composer from multiple places:

From the frontend -> https://i.imgur.com/Htcf0oT.png
From the pages screen -> https://i.imgur.com/ybyzE11.png
From the cloud library dashboard -> https://i.imgur.com/iF6bWJ8.png

I believe you are using a mobile page for the homepage. Do none of these methods work if you try them? That would be unusual. But if that is the case, I will take a closer look at this problem. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website.

Thank you!

Hi,
So you are referring to do changes in the theme files, then you can do it on those files:
for standard templates -> wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/comments.php -> https://i.imgur.com/SHWE2YU.png
for cloud templates -> wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/parts/tdb-comments.php -> https://i.imgur.com/BZHoDFb.png
I hope this will help you!

Hello,

You use a header template from tagDiv Cloud Library, so you need to edit the logo like in our guide and video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/, you do not need to add it to the Theme Panel.

Thank you!

Hi focuspiedra,
To add the “trending now” element to a page or a cloud template you need to use the tagDiv Composer to edit that page/cloud template -> https://i.imgur.com/URQ8Rgg.png then click on add -> https://prnt.sc/-jdKs1SwWgiZ and search for the element you want, after that drag and drop the element where you want to set it -> https://i.imgur.com/biRL1rm.jpg

Yes, as you said, I am “mobile themes” and “AMP”. I have disabled both of these. Not used.
https://prnt.sc/NmPMVrtM9JCc

However, since a few weeks ago, the mobile responsive version has stopped updating for some reason.

*Explanation of the current situation
In other words, I am fixing and updating the “mobile responsive version” as usual.
https://prnt.sc/8o51BlZHJJPn
However, when I check it with a browser, the update is not reflected for some reason.
Of course, if you modify the standard responsive version, it seems that the update will be reflected.

However, I want to use fast mobile responsive like you said.

For reference, maybe the work I’m doing has a cause? Less than.

・For example, a category template

1. Start with one category template and install one template from the cloud library.

2. Then assign “Independent Mobile Responsive” to this template.

3. Then “duplicate” this template and “rename” it
In that case, “independent mobile responsive” has already been assigned, so delete it once. (The mobile responsive assigned to the originally created template remains.)

Four. Assign a new mobile responsiveness to the cloned and renamed template.
*But this is where the problem starts!
This duplicated and renamed “Mobile Responsive” is not updated!

Maybe there’s a problem with this process that’s causing it?

・I create a template like this, duplicate it, and then delete and re-assign mobile responsive to other templates.

Is this the reason?

Calin
tagDiv Staff

Hi Gen Fujiwara,
Indeed, the theme provide by default the responsive version. Also it provides the mobile theme plugin that has a pre-made template that can not be edited, but it can do the mobile version faster then the responsive version.
Now, the mobile page templates, those are cloud templates made for mobile version, in this way you can have a different content/layout on mobile and you can edit it after your needs with the tagDiv Composer.
So our theme has in the end 3 possibilities for the mobile version:
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled.
So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use mobile theme, in Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in current post/page, if you use the option, then it will be use the mobile page/template (if is assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.
Here is also a video that explains all those -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this will help you!

Anamaria

Hello,

1. Please make sure you have the Cloud Library activated and after importing a Single Post Template -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1R3j1QYod0
You need to use the smart list from tagDiv Composer, inside Single Post Content ->
https://i.imgur.com/dbipPWQ.png according to the documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/
Also, you don’t need to use the classic editor, you can use the Gutenberg editor, which is the default editor for WordPress and select/add the element classic https://i.imgur.com/9sWuCtW.png to add the smart list.
Also, please make sure you have the same heading, in the post editor and in the smart list element, please check this video -> https://www.screencast.com/t/BuFFxQKgj

2. The header is a page made with tagDiv composer, and that page is set in the modal popup element -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/

Thank you!
