I have the same issue with a different plugin. Create a blank template based on cloud library in the CPT section but it does not get applied.

Hi,

Everytime we update our websites with the Newspaper Theme we find that the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library plugins are deactivated. This causes us to have to re-activate these 2 plugins every time on all these websites.

Is there any way to ensure that these plugins are no longer deactivated when we update?

Thanks in advance

Hello, thank you. I think the problem is that there is no Cloud library button in the top (for pages):
https://www.rozumimepenezum.cz/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Screenshot-2022-06-01-at-09-23-58-Dokazu-to-Rozumime-penezum.png
So I can´t download the template…

Hello,

You need to do changes also, in the td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_module.php

Hello,

I notice that you don’t use the Single Post Template Black pro, but another template.
Please make sure you have set the Single Post template assigned global -> https://i.imgur.com/r4qaMgW.png -> https://i.imgur.com/PGCNsCS.png

Thank you!

Hello!

What you use on that page is the Single Post Template 61 – Gadgets PRO.
If you will access Cloud Templates, you can make it global in the Single templates section, so you can assign this template for all your posts/articles.
Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

Hi, I have a new gadgets template. The template was prepared for the contributions and it looks perfect in posts, for instance: https://www.rozumimepenezum.cz/minimalni-dustojna-mzda/
However, no template is assigned for articles:
https://www.rozumimepenezum.cz/standardy-fg/co-je-fg/

How can I assign the same template to the articles? There is no template for posts/articles (in Gadgets-style) prepared in the cloud library.

Thank you, Petr

Hi support, I want to create a template only for Pages, but when I import some template from cloud library, it affect category page, and I cant create template only for pages.

For example, if I upload some template from cloud library, and set page title, separator, and I want to display single page content bellow separator (like it was with single post content on single post template), but i cant find this option.

How to create template only for pages? Is this possible?

Hello,

I just checked your website and now seems the text is not displayed -> https://i.imgur.com/z5NaKp8.jpg
Also, I recommend you to use Single Post Template from tagDiv Cloud Library

Thank you!

Hello!

Please make sure you assigned the same cloud template for that page.

Hello!

If you want to use the single cloud template from “The Rimont” demo or any one, then you can assign manually this template for your video posts only(access the posts in the frontend and change the template from the dropdown near the green button ” Edit with the TagDiv Composer”). You can duplicate the template and make only some changes for your special posts or you can import a new one from the Cloud Templates -> Single templates. Hello!

If you use a cloud homepage template, then you need to access the homepage in your frontend and edit it with the TagDiv Composer by clicking on the green button.
Else, the page can’t be edited with the TagDiv Composer.

Hello,

Please make sure you have the tagDiv plugins activated, like tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Social Counter if you have the blocks from this plugin.
Please let me know if you did the update only with tagDiv plugins.
During the update process, please have only tagDiv plugins enabled, (for example if you have the WordFence plugin, you need to use the WordFence assistant plugin to make sure it does not block the update process), also please make sure you have permissions set correctly so as not to interfere with the update process -> https://www.malcare.com/blog/wordpress-file-permissions/
Also, you can try to update the plugin manually -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/

Thank you!

I have to translate the website in two languages (sorry, I didn’t specify).

As soon as I change the search labels in the tagDiv composer, the change is propagated to all the languages. (I use polylang)

For now I have solved this modifying these two files:

/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/common/tdb_title.php
/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/search/tdb_search_form.php

Nothing urgent, in case you decide to change the behavior of the search module to support multilingual sites.

Hello!

You should install the demo without content, so in this case your content won’t be changed.
We recommend to use cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Hello Patrick,

I don’t know exactly if it was intended, but I will ask the developers.
Also, the files that come from the tagDiv cloud library can’t be set in the child theme.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,

I just discovered code already in the theme that accomplishes exactly what I am looking for, but it has been commented out by your team.

wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/common

/**
* on composer iframe and on templates that do not have posts we show the no posts message
* @see td_page_generator::no_posts() - this function generates the __td('No posts to display').
* the text can be overwritten by the template using the global @see td_global::$custom_no_posts_message
*/
//if ( tdc_state::is_live_editor_ajax() || tdc_state::is_live_editor_iframe() ) {
//$buffy .= td_page_generator::no_posts();
//} else {
//$offset = intval($this->get_att('offset'));
//if ( $offset === 0 ) {
//$buffy .= td_page_generator::no_posts();
//}
//}

Lines 1717 – 1724.

When uncommented, this block shows the “No posts” message as expected.

Is this intentionally commented out or was it a mistake?

I would like a way to preserve my update of uncommenting it so that I don’t have to re-do it during the next theme update.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you,
Patrick

Final question — I am trying to use a child theme to avoid losing the custom work every time I update WordPress/the Newspaper theme.

I have tried the following file structures and none of them seem to work:

  • wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/modules
  • wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/includes/modules
  • wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/td-cloud-library/modules

How do I modify wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php, tdb_module_loop_2.php, and
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_block.php in the child theme?

Hello!

You need to import/create, assign a cloud template/header for your posts and make it global(make sure that all your pages have the same template/header. In this case, you’ll have the same menu on all your pages.

https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/

Hello Pavle,

Please do not share the credentials here on the forum.
Also, for me, this error doesn’t occur-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ELZIf0fh4ENM

We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
