We would like to copy the content in a single post Excerpt Field to the TD Theme Subtitle field. In the post export file, you will see both the data in the Excerpt field and the data in the td_post_theme_settings which is where the TD theme saves the Subtitle content.

We are using the NewsPaper Cloud Templates with our site. Which does not allow us to display the Excerpt content on a single post.
We are looking for the best solution to accomplish copying the data from the Excerpt to Subtitle.
Or how can we display the Excerpt data in the same location the Subtitle is currently displaying on the single post page under the Title. Again we are using the Cloud Templates with our site.

i have used inherit global template for the subcategories in theme panel.
My cloud template is Pulse pro, but for single posts is Romania PRO and for category is Report PRO.

Please try to use Single Post Template from Cloud Library, the posts style from theme panel are older design.
You can import a Single Post Template and can edit it with tagDiv Composer, and you can add a flex block and filter it on related articles. hi – I’m editing the Cloud Templates for Magazine PRO and the mobile header/menu will not change, particularly for the homepage on mobile. For nearly all other pages the edits take effect, but not the homepage.
Since the Newspaper theme when using cloud templates does not have a way to display the Excerpt field on a single post, we would like to know the best way to go about copying the content in the Excerpt field to the TD Subtitle field. Please advise. Here is what we are seeing when we export the data that has a post that contains content in the subtitle field.

I was able to resolve the issue by disabling the Varnish cache through my hosting company which is Cloudways.
That cache function is only accessible through my account at Cloudways, not on the site itself.
Previously, I was getting frustrated because I was de-activating the cache plugins on the site which did not resolve the issue. It was only when I discovered the Varnish cache in my hosting account that I was able to resolve it.

not sure if this has been recently fixed since I’m using 11.2 because of the known issues in 11.3 but I think I remember that it didn’t work in 11.3 either:
The “current category” filter in the flex block blocks does not work.
How to repead the issue:
Set up a website, install the Zodiac Demo Site, and edit the post single cloud template. Select “Category filter:” Category – current category.
Result: The filter does not work. Instead of posts from the current category posts of all categories are displayed.

If you have WP Bakery plugin installed and active, then here is the problem. There is a conflict between TagDiv Composer and WP Bakery.
So, I gladly recommend you to shift from WPBakery to Composer, because WPBakery is an old builder plugin. For cloud templates, you should add the ads when you edit the post with TagDiv Composer in the element called ” Single Post Content ” in the tab ADS or you can use the element called “Ad box” from TagDiv Composer and there you need to add the ads.

I see a code there which means you do not have the tagdiv social counter plugin installed and active in the Newspaper -> Plugins. Check also about the Standard Pack plugin to be active.
Also, you use default templates, that’s why you can not edit them with the TagDiv Composer.

Thanks again. Yes, I’m aware of that and we’re working on a new, Cloud Templates-based website. Standard Pack is discontinued then, I guess. Note that this was not always there, this bug appeared after the latest update. Until then, Standard Pack worked fine.
With that in mind, there are probably still people out there that have had Newspaper powering their websites for 5+ years and many are still using old designs, with old Newspaper templates. Maybe this helps someone.
It could also be useful for debugging if a site is running Standard Pack and experiences massive SQL spikes.

Of course you can import a cloud/PRO header template assign it on your page where you need and add the News Ticker there, or any other element.

The Standard Pack plugin is an old one with old features with default templates. We do not recommend it anymore.

Appreciate the reply. Not exactly clear, I don’t think we’re using a header template from the Cloud Library, just whatever header that was active with the demo. Can we convert our existing header into a template? Can we download a header from the Cloud Library and modify it to match our existing layout, then swap it out? Any additional detail would be helpful.
